울증(鬱證)환자에게 용서프로그램을 활용한 오지상승요법(五志相勝療法)을 시행하여 호전된 1례

Yuzheng(鬱證) comes from obstruction of qi by stress. The patient has depressed mood, irritable sign, chest discomfort, costal pain, angry state or some strange feeling on the throat. Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝) therapy is base on the theory of interrelation in five elements in oriental medicine. The contents of Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝) therapy include five subjugations of five emotions. Anxiety subjugates fear(思勝恐), fear subjugates joy(恐勝喜), joy subjugates pity(喜勝悲), pity subjugates anger(悲勝怒), and anger subjugates anxiety(怒勝思). Forgiveness program is a kind of psychological therapies to decrease the degree of anger and it is included in Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝) therapy. In this case, a female patient, 50 years old, who suffered from Yuzheng(鬱證) with chest discomfort, irritable sign, easily angry state, depressed mood, hot flush, insomnia. We used Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung(五志相勝) therapy besides herbal medication, acupuncture to her condition got improved. Therefore we reported it for the treatment.

Post-traumatic hematoma formation is a common complication of contusion. If the hematoma is large enough to aspirate or drain, it can be treated quickly and appropriately. However, if the hematoma is small or concealed by local swelling, it may be overlooked and left untreated. In most cases, a hematoma will resolve following conservative treatment; however, associated infection or muscle fibrosis can occur. Herein, we present the case of a patient with a chin deformity caused by a post-traumatic hematoma. The deformity was treated using botulinum toxin and triamcinolone acetonide injections as minimally invasive treatments. The course of treatment was good.

명보리나무이(Psylla fulguralis)의 幼蟲의 形態를 考察한結果, 이種은 3令부터 頭部와 胸部에 硬化部分이 현저히 나타나며, 脛節과 跋節사이의 분화도 일어난다. 그리고 全令을 통하여 Circum anal pore ring은 1列이며 跋節未端에 1個의 褥盤과 2個의 瓜를 가진다. 특히 이種은 2令에서 부터 翅芽의 發達이 두드러진다. Description of the egg and all the instars of the immature stages of Psylla fulguralis from Korea and discussed the development of the sclerotized areas and differentiation of the articulation between tibia and tarsi.

<P>Estimation of postmortem interval (PMI) is paramount in modern forensic investigation. After the disappearance of the early postmortem phenomena conventionally used to estimate PMI, entomologic evidence provides important indicators for PMI estimation. The age of the oldest fly larvae or pupae can be estimated to pinpoint the time of oviposition, which is considered the minimum PMI (PMI<SUB>min</SUB>). The development rate of insects is usually temperature dependent and species specific. Therefore, species identification is mandatory for PMI<SUB>min</SUB> estimation using entomological evidence. The classical morphological identification method cannot be applied when specimens are damaged or have not yet matured. To overcome this limitation, some investigators employ molecular identification using mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I<I> (COI)</I> nucleotide sequences. The molecular identification method commonly uses Sanger's nucleotide sequencing and molecular phylogeny, which are complex and time consuming and constitute another obstacle for forensic investigators. In this study, instead of using conventional Sanger's nucleotide sequencing, single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the<I> COI</I> gene region, which are unique between fly species, were selected and targeted for single-base extension (SBE) technology. These SNPs were genotyped using a SNaPshot® kit. Eleven Calliphoridae and seven Sarcophagidae species were covered. To validate this genotyping, fly DNA samples (103 adults, 84 larvae, and 4 pupae) previously confirmed by DNA barcoding were used. This method worked quickly with minimal DNA, providing a potential alternative to conventional DNA barcoding. Consisting of only a few simple electropherogram peaks, the results were more straightforward compared with those of the conventional DNA barcoding produced by Sanger's nucleotide sequencing.</P>
Resiliency Design of a Loosely-Coupled Database System

In a loosely-coupled distributed database server system, a server failure and/or a communication failure can be masked by a resiliency mechanism. Recognizing that a distributed transaction executes at several servers during its lifetime, we propose a resiliency mechanism which allows continuous transaction processing in distributed database server systems in the presence of a server failure. The resiliency mechanism for transaction processing is achieved by keeping redundant information using a primary/backup approach. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the performance improvement opportunities with the resiliency mechanism and to present the design of the proposed system.

<B>ABSTRACT</B><B>Background:</B><P>Decreased hemoglobin levels increase the risk of developing dementia among the elderly. However, the underlying mechanisms that link decreased hemoglobin levels to incident dementia still remain unclear, possibly due to the fact that few studies have reported on the relationship between low hemoglobin levels and neuroimaging markers. We, therefore, investigated the relationships between decreased hemoglobin levels, cerebral small-vessel disease (CSVD), and cortical atrophy in cognitively healthy women and men.</P><B>Methods:</B><P>Cognitively normal women (<I>n</I> = 1,022) and men (<I>n</I> = 1,018) who underwent medical check-ups and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were enrolled at a health promotion center. We measured hemoglobin levels, white matter hyperintensities (WMH) scales, lacunes, and microbleeds. Cortical thickness was automatically measured using surface based methods. Multivariate regression analyses were performed after controlling for possible confounders.</P><B>Results:</B><P>Decreased hemoglobin levels were not associated with the presence of WMH, lacunes, or microbleeds in women and men. Among women, decreased hemoglobin levels were associated with decreased cortical thickness in the frontal (Estimates, 95% confidence interval, −0.007, (−0.013, −0.001)), temporal (−0.010, (−0.018, −0.002)), parietal (−0.009, (−0.015, −0.003)), and occipital regions (−0.011, (−0.019, −0.003)). Among men, however, no associations were observed between hemoglobin levels and cortical thickness.</P><B>Conclusion:</B><P>Our findings suggested that decreased hemoglobin levels affected cortical atrophy, but not increased CSVD, among women, although the association is modest. Given the paucity of modifiable risk factors for age-related cognitive decline, our results have important public health implications.</P>

大邱地域에서 數年間 採集한 나무이 標本을 同定한 結果, 모두 10屬 26種이였다. 그 가운데 3屬 8種이 한국에선 처음 記錄되는 것이며, 12種은 처음으로 新稱이 부쳐졌으며, 아직 未同定된 3種에 對해서는 追後 發表할 豫定이다. There are reported psyllids of 26 species under 10 genera from Taegu area, Korea. Among them 7 species and 3 genera are newly added to the psyllid fauna of Korea, besides are there 3 species unidentified.
