It has passed 140 years since the immigration of Koreans to Russia started, and 120 years have passed that the diplomatic relation between Korea and Russia was established. During this period there were many historical events. Koreans residing in Russia experienced many intolerable sufferings. And in these adversities they kept their national characteristics including their own language and the traditional cultures. The immigration history of Koreans is not long, but the quantity grew rapidly. Immigration history of Koreans in Russia started in 1864, when 14 families moved to the border for the settlement in Russia. At that time around the border along river Duman flowed between Korea and Russia, Korean society in Russia began to be formed. The diplomatic relation of Korea and Russia set to work at 1884. After the time Korean immigrants to Russia rapidly increased. The Russia government helped Koreans to settle down in Russia. Many Koreans were baptized by Russian Orthodox, because they thought that this might help the settlement in Russia. They, if possible, wanted to acquired Russian citizenship. So they swore a loyalty in the Russian government. The Russian diplomatic officials in Seoul strived to solve Korean immigration problems. In 1904 Russia _ Japan war, which brought about enormous damage in Far Eastern province, broke out, Japan attempted to expand the influence over Koreans residing in Manchuria and Russia. After Korea lost national right, Koreans in Russia also experienced fatal damage. Koreans residing in Russia endeavored for independence. After socialist Revolution in 1917 Koreans in Russia thought that it might help to attain Korean independence. But their hope was not come true. As we well know, in 1937 compulsory immigration to the Central Asian Area incurred the destructive results to Koreans, they were compelled to overcome these intolerable sufferings. Now Koreans residing in Russia closely keep relations with other people in Russia in many fields and various ways. And they incessantly attpmpt to establish the true identity as a self.
Magnetic resonance in bilayers of ferrite and functionally graded piezoelectric

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The particular purpose of this paper is theoretical modeling of magnetoelectric interactions at the ferromagnetic resonance in a layered structure of a ferrite and a piezoelectric with through-thickness graded polarization. We show that using the functionally graded piezoelectric with through-thickness variation of polarization can lead to an electric field induced broadening of ferromagnetic resonance line. As an example, we consider the laminate based on the yttrium iron garnet layer which is placed between two lead zirconate titanate layers with different poling direction. The maximal ferromagnetic resonance line broadening of 9.3Oe is obtained for the yttrium iron garnet to lead zirconate titanate layer thickness ratio of 1.7 at 9.3GHz for E equal to 10kV/cm.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Ferromagnetic resonance in a ferrite-piezoelectric laminate is studied. </LI> <LI> An electric field induced FMR line broadening results from bending the sample. </LI> <LI> Ferrite layer between the two piezoelectric layers shows a large line broadening. </LI> </UL> </P>

<P>We report successful energy scaling of a room-temperature femtosecond Cr4+: forsterite laser by using a single-walled carbon nanotube saturable absorber (SWCNT-SA). By incorporating a q-preserving multipass cavity, a repetition rate of 4.51 MHz was realized, and the oscillator produced 121 fs, 10 nJ pulses at 1247 nm, with an average output power of 46 mW. To the best of our knowledge, the peak power of 84 kW is the highest generated to date from a SWCNT-SA mode-locked oscillator. Furthermore, energy scaling of a femtosecond multipass-cavity laser, mode-locked using a SWCNT-SA, is demonstrated for the first time.</P>

On the base of the historico-historiographical approach the author in his article "Two Dynasties: Formation of the Romanov-Qing Interaction" seeks to explain why Russians, who have been experienced the long Tatar-Mongol yoke, soon after shaking it off began their movement "against sun". Having had started at the end of 16th century from Ural Mountains the Russian people by the middle of the 17th century had reached the shores of the Pacific Ocean and banks of Amur River having had done 5-8 thousand kilometers. At the same time Russian started first official contacts with the Ming China. In 1618 the first Russian mission headed by Ivan Petlin arrived to Peking and negotiated with Ming`s dignitaries. But in 26 years Ming China was conquered by Manchurian Qing Dynasty. Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich showed considerable initiative to establish official ties with Qing Government: in 1656 and in 1676 he sent his two envoys to Peking. After all under official rule of Tsarevna Sofia in 1689 the third Russian envoy Fiodor Golovin was sent, and in August of the same year the Nerchinsky Treaty between two states was signed. With establishing the official relations between Russia and China, the Eurasian continent has completely took "habitable" character. If Khans of Mongol Empire of 12-13th centuries had tied East and West "with iron and blood", the Russians after four centuries had led different civilization to mutual cohesion and balance by comparatively peaceful and natural ways.
Radiation effect on the polymer-based capacitive relative humidity sensors

The sensitivity of polymer-based capacitive relative humidity (RH) sensors after irradiation with neutrons, electrons and protons was measured. Degradation consists of the decreasing of the upper RH limit that can be measured. At the same time, low RH-level sensitivity is almost stable. After 30 krad of absorption dose, RH cut off is equal to 85% of max value, after 60 krade40%. Degradation reduces after annealing which indicates high radiation sensitivity of the internal circuit in comparison to RH-sensing polymer film

Many linepipe steels exhibit a variation in mechanical properties as a function of the orientation of the test sample relative to the rolling and transverse directions of the steel plate. Such anisotropy limits the optimum design and exploitation of the steel, and its occurrence has been attributed to effects such as microstructural banding and the associated delamination during fracture, and unfavourably oriented ferrite cleavage planes. It is often difficult to separate the factors, but an experiment has been designed and implemented to study the role of crystallographic texture in isolation. It is demonstrated that the texture plays a major role in influencing the anisotropy of the Charpy test energy.
