This research aims to identify the role that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can play in achieving the economic goals of the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030. The study relied on descriptive analysis, designing a standard model, and analyzing it using the Eviews9 program. The study also adopted the questionnaire as a tool for data collection. The study area covered Alkharj and Hawtat Bani Tamim governorates. The sample size of the study was 142 participants. The study’s results confirmed the existence of a significant impact of changes in independent variables (X1, X2, X3, X4), which are (GDP, non-oil exports, number of employees, and public revenues), respectively. The dependent variable (Y) represents the number of small and medium-sized businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, it was found that 61.3% of small and medium-sized enterprises in the governorates of Al-Kharj and Hawtat Bani Tamim operate in the commercial sector. Most study participants concur that SMEs significantly lowered the unemployment rate and helped boost the GDP rate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The obstacles and difficulties facing the establishment of these enterprises were financial problems, marketing problems, and corporate monopoly. Furthermore, most of the small and medium l enterprises faced financing problems.

Financial sectors, like other sectors with strict hierarchies, need help to be adaptive or agile enough to satisfy the needs of competitive situations. In this regard, this study aims to evaluate the influence of job satisfaction on the link between job empowerment practices and the agility of human resources and fills the gaps in the current literature. To fulfill these aims, the study employs data collected through a survey of 460 employees randomly selected across various levels of commercial banking. AMOS 25 was used to conduct a statistical data analysis by applying structural equation modelling to test the hypotheses. The findings revealed positive and direct associations between job empowerment practices, job satisfaction, and the agility of human resources. In addition, employee satisfaction served as a powerful intermediary between empowerment practices and the agility of human resources. This study is one of the first to analyze the association between these factors in this field. These results imply that banks should develop effective job empowerment strategies to increase employee job satisfaction, which can lead to a more agile workforce. As mentioned in this paper, it also has important and helpful implications for academics and banks.

The purposes of the present work it to study the effect of shear deformation on the static post-buckling response of simply supported functionally graded (FGM) axisymmetric beams based on classical, first-order, and higher-order shear deformation theories. The behavior of postbuckling is introduced based on geometric nonlinearity. The material properties of functionally graded materials (FGM) are assumed to be graded in the thickness direction according to a simple power law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. The equations of motion and the boundary conditions derived using Hamilton’s principle. This article compares and addresses the efficiency, the applicability, and the limits of classical models, higher order models (CLT, FSDT, and HSDT) for the static post-buckling response of an asymmetrically simply supported FGM beam. The amplitude of the static post-buckling obtained a solving the nonlinear governing equations. The results showing the variation of the maximum post-buckling amplitude with the applied axial load presented, for different theory and different parameters of material and geometry. In conclusion: The shear effect found to have a significant contribution to the post-buckling behaviors of axisymmetric beams. As well as the classical beam theory CBT, underestimate the shear effect compared to higher order shear deformation theories HSDT.

Research on the beneficial effects of Maillard reaction products (MRPs) and phenolic compounds derived from roasted peanut flour on the nervous system remains insufficient. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of a 28-day oral administration of defatted peanut extract rich in MPRs and polyphenolic compounds on the cognitive impairments and oxidative injury induced by scopolamine in a mouse model. Light and dark extracts from peanut flour were prepared by heating peanuts at 187°C for two different times (8.6 and 12.7 min) and defatted using soxhlet apparatus. The mice were orally pretreated with either roasted defatted peanuts extracts (100 mg/kg) or donepezil (3 mg/kg) for 21 days. On day 19 and until day 28, mice were injected subcutaneously with water or scopolamine (1 mg/kg body weight) 15 min after roasted defatted peanuts extracts/water feeding. Mice were subsequently subjected to a battery of behavioral tests including open field locomotor activity assay, and Morris water maze test. Brain tissues were collected to measure acetylcholine, acetylcholinesterase, and oxidative parameters (glutathione and malondialdehyde). Roasted defatted peanuts (light and dark) (100 mg/kg) treatment significantly ameliorated cognitive performance and reversed the oxidative damage when compared with the scopolamine group. These data demonstrate the defatted peanuts extracts exert potent anti-amnesic effects via the modulation of cholinergic and antioxidant activities.

This study aims to examine the mechanical properties of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene specimens using ASTM 638, 695, and 790. UVC radiation was also used as a sterilizing method. The fused deposition modeling of 3D-printed polymerize with 30 % filling was used to manufacture 30 specimens for tensile, compression, and bending. Half of the specimens were treated with UVC, whereas the other half were not. The chosen dosage of 13.5 J/cm 2 with an exposure time of 48 min corresponds to 3650 sterilization treatments or 10 years of sterilization. The average ultimate stress in the tensile test, compression test, and bending test was 34.5 ± 7.4, 25.4 ± 0.5, and 24.5 ± 2.1 Mpa, respectively. The analysis of variance test shows that UVC radiation has a demonstrable influence on tensile specimens, with a P-value of 0.012, which is less than the significance threshold of 0.05. Thus, the null hypothesis is rejected.

Data mining technique was used to track student's performance during years studding in college and determine the impact of GPA_SEC on the GPA student rates according to the current academic advising method used on student's status. The study utilized a sample of 5436 individuals were drawn from two colleges in Majmaah University, KSA during 2013-2018 period. The results showed that the student's completion status in terms of graduation, dropout, Stumbling or dismissed was classified according to the average grades of admission from secondary school GPA_SEC. The results show the effect of the current academic advising that most of students gain less grades comparing with GPA_SEC in addition that the higher GPA_SEC was the higher graduation, dropout and dismissed decreased when GPA_SEC was high.. Therefore, the study recommends tracking students academically to evaluate their results of each semester to find out the causes of the deficiencies and addressing them within the departments.
Nonlinear Observers for Spacecraft Attitude Estimation in Case of Yaw Angle Measurement Absence
Mohamed M. Aly,Hossam A. Abdel Fatah,Ahmed Bahgat 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2010 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.8 No.5
This paper provides a brief presentation and a useful comparison between two nonlinear observers Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) and sliding mode observer (SMO). Both can be used for moderate-accuracy attitude determination systems for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Earth-pointing spacecraft (s/c), which is typically achieved using Gyroscopes, Earth, and Sun sensors for attitude sensing. The use of these observers provides a substitute for the yaw data in case of the s/c eclipse periods or limited field of views. The nonlinear observability for this system is analytically investigated via the calculation of Lie derivatives to check the possibility of the system states estimation. The performances of both observers are presented, the SMO stability is proved and the SMO enhanced estimates are shown by simulation.

This paper deals with the control of nonlinear systems using multimodel approach. The main idea ofthis work consists on the association of the gap metric and the stability margin tools to reduce the number ofmodels constituting the multimodel bank. In fact, the self-organisation map (SOM) algorithm is used, firstly, todevelop a preliminary multimodel bank. Then, the gap metric and the stability margin are computed to determinethe redundancy of the initial multimodel bank. So, the multimodel controller is elaborated based on the reducedmodel bank. Simulations confirm the method for selecting the appropriate number of local models which should beused in the controller design.

A field trial was conducted in 2009/2010 and 2010/2011growing seasons at Giza Agricultural Research Station to examine correlations between some biochemical componets and powdery mildews (PMs) resistance in flax cultivars. Nine flax cultivars could be divided into five distinct groups, i.e., highly susceptible (Cortland and C.I. 2008), moderately susceptible (Giza 7, and Marshall),moderately resistant (Cass), resistant (Koto, Dakota and Wilden), and highly resistant (Ottowa 770B). The cultivars showed considerable variation in PM severity ranged from 8.05 on Ottowa 770B to 97.02% on Cortland. Total soluble proteins, total phenols, antioxidant enzymes (peroxidase and polyphenoloxidase), ascorbic acid, tocopherol, and malondialdehyde (MDA), were determined in uninfected leaves of the tested cultivars. Pearson’s correlation coefficient was calculated to measure the degree of association between PM severity and each component. All components showed significant (P < 0.05) or highly significant (P < 0.01) negative correlation with PM severity except MDA, which showed positive correlation (P < 0.01). Linear regression analysis was used to evaluate the causal relationship between the biochemical components (independent variables)and PM severity (dependent variable). Coefficient of determination (R2) values of the generated models ranged from 48.76 to 77.15%. Tocopherol, MDA, and proteins were the most important contributors to the total variation in PM severity as the R2 values of their models were 71.78, 75.28, and 77.15%, respectively. The results of the present study suggest that tocopherol,MDA, and proteins in uninfected leaves can be used as biochemical markers to predict PM resistance in flax.

Molybdenum and tungsten oxides were supported on silica, MCM-22, MCM-41 and SBA-15. XRD and N2 adsorption–desorption revealed that architecture and textural character of supports were preserved. The catalysts were investigated in transformation of 2-pentene at different reaction temperatures. MoO3/ MCM-22 exhibited highest conversions with isomerization and cracking as major reactions. MoO2(acac)2, MoO3 and WO3 supported on MCM-41 and SBA-15 showed metathesis reaction of 2-C5 = producing propylene, C4 = and C6+ =as major products. Catalysts based on MCM-41 exhibited higher activity and stability than SBA-15. Addition of ethylene to 2-C5 = increased selectivity to propylene due to metathesis of ethylene with 2-pentene.
