        초등학교의 지역간 시력차이에 관한 연구 : 대구 및 영천지역을 중심으로

        The study was carried out to estimate the prevalence and possible causes of refractive errors in primary school children. At one primary school in urban Daegu, one in the medium-sized city of Yongcheon and 2 in rural areas, children wearing glasses and children with visual acuity of less than 0.7 were given our questions. 354 out of 378 children responded to our questions. The research was done from March 2000 to February 2001. The data were analyzed by percentage, χ2 test, t-test, ANOVA and Scheff method. Children with eyesight problems were more prevalent in urban areas than rural areas. The lack of luminosity during reading (p=0.015), length of reading time (p=0.08) and posture which watching TV (p=0.023) appeared leading causes of progressing myopias. The visual impairment caused by refractive errors may affect the mental and physical activity of primary school children and lead to social isolation, loneliness and depression. However, little attention may be paid by professionals engaged in providing health care to the children. Once we have recognized the impact of visual impairment, we may be in a better position to prevent progressing refractive errors.

      • 동화와 그림카드를 활용한 수업이 발달지체유아의 어휘력에 미치는 효과

        이 연구는 동화를 활용한 수업과 동화와 그림카드를 병행 활용한 수업이 발달지체유아의 어휘력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 한다. 이와 같은 목적을 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 동화를 활용한 수업이 발달지체유아의 어휘력을 향상시키는가? 둘째, 동화와 그림카드를 병행 활용한 수업이 발달지체유아의 어휘력을 향상시 키는가? 셋째, 동화를 활용한 수업과 동화와 그림카드를 병행 활용한 수업 중 발달지체 유아의 어휘력을 더 많이 향상시키는 수업방법은 무엇인가? 이 연구의 대상은 D시 소재 000 장애아전문 어린이집에 재원중인 유아 3명이다. 이 유아들을 대상으로 동화를 활용한 수업과 동화와 그림카드를 병행 활용한 수업을 진행해 사후 이 유아들의 어휘력에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지를 연구하였다. 실험기간은 2014년 7월 1일부터 9월 30일까지 총 13주 동안 진행되었다. 실험에 참여하기 전 각 대상유아의 월령, 성별 그리고 언어발달검사(SELSI)를 실시하였다. 이 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 동화를 활용한 수업과 동화와 그림카드를 병행 활용한 수업이 모두 유아의 명사 및 동사의 어휘력을 향상시킨 것으로 나타났다. 이는 유아의 어휘력을 확장하는데 도움을 주기 위한 매체로 동화를 활용한 수업, 동화와 그림카드를 병행 활용한 수업도 효과가 있음을 보여주었다. 또한, 동화를 활용한 수업과 동화와 그림카드를 병행 활용한 수업중에서는 동화와 그림카드를 병행 활용한 수업이 유아의 어휘력 확장에 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 나아가 발달지체유아들에게도 일반적인 교수방법인 동화와 그림카드가 효과적인 교수방법이 될 수 있음을 시사한다. All human beings need a communication to enter into a social relation. However many young children with developmental delay are having hard times due to limitation of communication. Since the expression of language is the source that helps the communication, increase of the language understanding and expressiveness helps thedevelopment of communication through the expansion of vocabulary ability. The purpose of this study is that how much the class that holds down a fairy tale and run a fairy tale and picture card at the same time is effective to developmentally delayed young children``s vocabulary ability. Three research questions for this purpose of study were set up. First, does the class that uses fairy tale improve the developmentally delayed young children``s vocabulary ability? Second, does the class that uses both of fairy tale and picture card improve the developmentally delayed young children``s vocabulary ability? Third, which of the classes that mentioned above is more effective way to improvethe vocabulary ability of young children with developmental delay among two classes that I mentioned in first and second questions. The targets of this study are three young children who attend to 000 DaycareCenter which is specialized to children who have developmental delay. The experiment period was July 1st, 2014 to September 30, 2014 during thirteen weeks. The result of this study is as follows. Both of the classes show the improvement of developmentally delayed young children``s usage of noun and verb in their vocabulary ability. Since these interventions helps the extension of developmentally delayed young children``s vocabulary ability, both of the classes which are the class that uses only fairy tale and the class that uses both of fairy tale and picture card show the effectiveness. Also, a general teaching method which includes using fairy tale and picture card is helpful to not only normal children but also young children with developmental delay.

        이직의도가 있는 임상간호사의 소진경험에 관한 현상학적 연구

        This study was aimed to understand the meaning and essentials of the experience of burnout for hospital nurses with turnover intention. Methods: The design was a qualitative research of phenomenological study. Participants: Seven hospital nurses who had worked over three years and had experiences of turnover intention in a hospital with over 400 beds were included. Results: Nine meaningful themes related to burnout experiences and four theme clusters of 1) battery warning sounds almost out; 2) the player who hit the drum and double-headed drum; 3) the target flying arrow without a break; and 4) the pendulum swaying to turn over. Registered nurses (RNs) felt burnout with an overload of work and by the thought that it was illegal action for registered nurses to receive insufficient rewards for their work. RNs also experienced there were no problem solving strategies to verbal violence by patient and medical team. Conclusion: The findings show that burnout experiences for those who had turnover intention was developed from the insight that insufficient training to do work independently with over-load for nurses was not ethical. It suggests that it is necessary to rethink training systems for nursing and hospitals to relieve turnover intention.

        High Resolution Magnetic X-ray Microscopy Study of the Magnetization Reversal in CoCrPt Alloy Thin Films

        Magnetic transmission soft X-ray microscopy has been used to study element-specifically the magnetization reversal behavior of (Co_(84)Cr_(16))_(87)Pt₁₃ alloy thin films with a lateral resolution of 35 ㎚. Our results indicate that the magnetization switching is carried out by a random nucleation process that can be attributed to the reversal of individual grains. We found evidence of a large distribution of the switching fields at the nanogranular length scale, which has to be considered seriously for applications of CoCrPt systems as magnetic high density storage materials.

        Repression of adenosine triphosphate–binding cassette transporter ABCG2 by estrogen increases intracellular glutathione in brain endothelial cells following ischemic reperfusion injury

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The adenosine triphosphate–binding cassette efflux transporter ABCG2, which is located in the blood-brain barrier limits the entry of endogenous compounds and xenobiotics into the brain, and its expression and activity are regulated by estrogen. This study was aimed to define the role of ABCG2 in estrogen-mediated neuroprotection against ischemic injury. ABCG2 protein levels before and after ischemic stroke were increased in the brain of female mice by ovariectomy, which were reversed by estrogen replacement. In brain endothelial cell line bEnd.3, estrogen reduced the basal ABCG2 protein level and efflux activity and protected cells from ischemic injury without inducing ABCG2 expression. When bEnd.3 cells were transfected with ABCG2 small interfering RNA, ischemia-induced cell death was reduced, and the intracellular concentration of glutathione, an antioxidant that is transported by ABCG2, was increased. In addition, after ischemic stroke in ovariectomized mice, estrogen prevented the reduction of intracellular glutathione level in brain microvessels. These data suggested that the suppression of ABCG2 by estrogen is involved in neuroprotection against ischemic injury by increasing intracellular glutathione, and that the modulation of ABCG2 activity offers a therapeutic target for brain diseases in estrogen-deficient aged women.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

        Disease-miRNAdb: a manually-curated database for the investigation of the microRNA-human disease relationship

        <P>MicroRNAs (miRNA) of approximately 22 nucleotides are fundamental molecules in cellular biology that act by modulating target gene expression. As a post-transcriptional/translational regulator, the role of miRNAs in human disease is highly expected. Recently, a rising number of miRNAs that are associated with a variety of human diseases have been reported in the literature. Aiming to provide a comprehensive of resource of miRNAs that are related to the human disease, we built the Disease miRNA Database (Disease-miRNAdb). MiRNAs from three groups of diseases including kidney disease, cancer, and metabolic disease were manually curated in the current version of database located on a user-friendly online website (http://disease-miRNAdb.hallym.ac.kr). In addition, this database also includes information regarding single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) located in pre-miRNAs, miRNA flanking regions, and 3'-UTRs of miRNA target genes. The generation of genetic variation in these regions may result in a loss or gain of miRNA-target gene interactions, which may influence the development of disease. Thus, information regarding miRNA-related SNPs will be useful in the discovery of disease-associated miRNAs in human populations by employing SNP association analysis for the disease of interest. Disease-miRNAdb will be continually maintained with up-to-date information to provide a current and valuable resource for investigating the roles of miRNAs in human disease.</P>

      • Cytotoxicity of Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4(Korean isolate)

        Acanthamoeba 한국분리주(Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4)의 다양한 배양온도에서의 생장율 및 병원성정도를 병원성이 알려진 A. culbertsoni 및 A. polyphaga와 비교하여 다음과 같은 성적을 얻었다. Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4와 A. culbertsoni는 37 및 40℃에서 증식이 빨랐으며, A. polyphaga는 25℃에서 급속히 수가 증가하였다. 특히, Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4와 A. culbertsoni는 40℃ 배양에서 세대시간이 19.6 및 17.8일로 가장 짧았으며 A. polyphaga는 25℃ 배양에서 18.2일로 생장율이 높았다. 37℃ 배양에서는 세 종간에 각각 19.1, 18.7 및 19.4일로 별다른 유의점이 발견되지 않았으나, 40℃ 배양에서 A. culbertsoni의 증식이 가장 빨랐으며, Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4가 중간이었고, A. polyphaga는 배양 이틀째부터 별다른 수의 증가를 보여주지 못하였다. Chinese hamster ovary(CHO) 세포에 대한 세포독성 실험에서 Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4의 영양형 lysate (1:4 희석)는 88.5%의 세포 파괴율을 보여주었으며, A. culbertsoni 및 A. polyphaga영양형의 lysate (1:4 희석)는 각각 100% 및 13.8%의 세포독성을 나타내었다. 살아있는 영양형의 세포독성에서 보면 세종류 중에서 Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4는 중간정도의 세포 파괴율을 보여주었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4는 A. culbertsoni 보다 40℃ 배양에서 생장율이 조금 느리고 또한 CHO 세포에 대한 세포독성에 있어서도 세포 파괴율이 낮은 것으로 관찰되었다. Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4 (Korean isolate), was compared with A. culbertsoni and A. polyphaga, with regard to the generation time for various culture temperatures and the cytotoxic activity to CHO cells. Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4 and A. culbertsoni propagated rapidly at 37℃ and 40℃, but A. polyphaga proliferated most rapidly at 25℃. In a 25℃ cultivation, the generation times of Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4, and A. culbertsoni were 25.7 and 24.2 hours, as compared with 18.2 hours for A. polyphaga. At 37℃, the generation times of Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4, A. culbertsoni and A. polyphaga were 19.1, 18.7 and 19.4 hours, respectively. The generation time for A. polyphaga at 40℃ was not calculated, but for Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4 and A. culbertsoni was 19.6 and 17.8 hours, respectively. When using lysates(1 : 4 dilution), the cytotoxicity of Acanthamoeba sp. YM-4 to CHO cells was 88.5%. The cytotoxicity of A. culbertsoni and A. polyphaga was 100% and 13.8%, respectively.
