Exercise and resveratrol supplementation exhibit anti-obesity functions in the long term but have not been fully investigated yet in terms of their early potential effectiveness. Mice fed with high-fat diet were categorized into control (Cont), exercise (Ex), resveratrol supplementation (Res), and exercise combined with resveratrol supplementation (Ex + Res) groups. In the four-week period of weight loss, exercise combined with resveratrol supplementation exerted no additional effects on body weight loss but significantly improved whole-body glucose and lipid homeostasis. The combined treatment significantly decreased intrahepatic lipid content but did not affect intramyocellular lipid content. Moreover, the treatment significantly increased the contents of mtDNA and cytochrome c, the expression levels of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator-1 alpha and its downstream transcription factors, and the activities of ATPase and citrate synthase. However, exercise, resveratrol, and their combination did not promote myofiber specification toward slow-twitch type. The effects of exercise combined with resveratrol supplementation on weight loss could be partly due to enhanced mitochondrial biogenesis and not to fiber-type shift in skeletal muscle tissues. <P>Direct growth of graphene on traditional glasses is of great importance for various daily life applications. We report herein the catalyst-free atmospheric-pressure chemical vapor deposition approach to directly synthesizing large-area, uniform graphene films on solid glasses. The optical transparency and sheet resistance of such kinds of graphene glasses can be readily adjusted together with the experimentally tunable layer thickness of graphene. More significantly, these graphene glasses find a broad range of real applications by enabling the low-cost construction of heating devices, transparent electrodes, photocatalytic plates, and smart windows. To survive in the current shipbuilding industry, it is of vital importance for shipyards to have the ship components' accuracy evaluated efficiently during most of the manufacturing steps. Evaluating components' accuracy by comparing each component's point cloud data scanned by laser scanners and the ship's design data formatted in CAD cannot be processed efficiently when (1) extract components from point cloud data include irregular obstacles endogenously, or when (2) registration of the two data sets have no clear direction setting. This paper presents reformative point cloud data processing methods to solve these problems. K-d tree construction of the point cloud data fastens a neighbor searching of each point. Region growing method performed on the neighbor points of the seed point extracts the continuous part of the component, while curved surface fitting and B-spline curved line fitting at the edge of the continuous part recognize the neighbor domains of the same component divided by obstacles' shadows. The ICP (Iterative Closest Point) algorithm conducts a registration of the two sets of data after the proper registration's direction is decided by principal component analysis. By experiments conducted at the shipyard, 200 curved shell plates are extracted from the scanned point cloud data, and registrations are conducted between them and the designed CAD data using the proposed methods for an accuracy evaluation. Results show that the methods proposed in this paper support the accuracy evaluation targeted point cloud data processing efficiently in practice.

The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of Tilia amurensis and Tilia manshurica as honey plants. Flowering period, number of flowers, honeybee visiting, and nectar secretion were measured. The flowering period of T. amurensis was 9 days, from June 9th to June 17th, and the flowering period of T. manshurica was 11 days, from June 17th to June 27th. The estimated total number of flowers per individual tree was shown to differ by more than 6-fold between the two species. T. manshurica was estimated to produce 386,000 flowers and T. amurensis was estimated to produce 63,600 flowers. Both species evidenced two peaks per day in honeybee visiting, and the total honeybee visiting scores of the two species did not differ greatly. The volume of nectar secretion, however, did differ noticeably between the two species-T. amurensis secreted 3.58 ±0.97㎕ and T. manshurica secreted 18.4±2.01㎕.

Finally, future research on application of structure vibration-attitude coordinated control of spacecraft has been recommended.

There are a variety of users and devices in a context-aware computing environment. In this environment, the service provided to a user may be the composition of diverse services rather than one independent service. Before user’s devices provide the composite service to the user, they should perceive user’s needs by gathering related information segments from other surrounding devices and/or sensors. We consider a context-aware computing environment providing composite and adapted service to users and propose an information processing model that characterizes the device where the collected data should be processed through services and/or applications. Based on this model, we provide an analytical tool to obtain some performance measures of the context-aware computing environment.

This study was conducted to provide a basic data for development of a new honey plant that substituted for Robinia pseudoacacia L. Flowering period, honeybee visiting and nectar secretion characteristics of R. pseudoacacia were investigated for that. Flowering period was investigated by classified five stages. ‘stage 4’ which flowering period was collected nectar available by honeybee shown 7 days from 20 May to 26 May. The maximum flowering period was three days from 21 May to 23 May within the stage 4. The mean flowering period of investigated individual plants was 3.9 days within the stage 4. There shown opposite trend between flowering rate and honeybee visiting during the stage 4. That result was caused by precipitation which happened for three days within the maximum flowering period. In addition, shorter flowering period than former report was caused by same reason. 2.20±1.18㎕ nectar secreted from one flower for a day and nectar seceretion was concentrated over 80% form 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. That was same trend with the flowering time.
