인성교육 시범유치원과 일반유치원 학부모의 가정에서의 인성 지도 현황 및 유아 실천 실태 연구 = The Study on the Actual Condition on Guidance and Practice at Home between Parents at Character Education Pilot Kindergarten and General Kindergarten

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the actual condition on guidance and practice of children`s virtue of character at home between parents at character education pilot kindergarten and general kindergarten, and then to provide basic materials for developing early childhood character education program which was connected to home. For this, it was conducted a questionnaire survey with 465 parents who have children attended 4 kindergartens which test run the early childhood character education program and 500 parents who have children attended 5 general kindergartens located at Incheon Metropolitan City. To identify the general background characteristics of the sample, frequency and percentage were calculated, and Chronbach`α was calculated to examine reliability of measuring instrument, and Chi-square test, multiple response analysis, and t-test were conducted to verify research question. The result of this study revealed that parents` recognition at character education pilot kindergarten was significantly higher than parents` recognition at general kindergarten in terms of spending time and effort on character education, parents training experience, and trying to join parents education. In addition, as for the actual condition on practice of children`s virtue of character at home, children at pilot kindergarten had higher score than children at general kindergarten in all 6 areas, and thus there was significantly difference in two groups.
