영아의 기질, 어머니의 양육지식과 영아발달 간의 관계 연구: 양육효능감의 매개효과 분석 = The Relationship between Infant Temperament, Maternal Knowledge of Infant Development and Infant Development: The Mediating Effect of Parenting Self-efficacy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among the variables that affect infant development. The variables of interest in this study were maternal parenting efficacy, knowledge of infant development, infant temperament, and infant development. Furthermore, this study examined that the mother`s parenting efficacy played a meditational role on the relationships among maternal knowledge of infant development, and infant temperament. The subjects of this study consisted of 461 infant-mother pairs who were using infant child care facilities in Seoul and Kyunggi Province, Korea. The data were analyzed by SPSS 14.0 and AMOS 5.0. The main results of this study were in the following. First, There were significant correlationships among maternal knowledge of infant development, parenting efficacy, and some of sub-areas(activity, sociability, and emotion) of infant temperament. Second, maternal parenting efficacy mediated the effects of maternal knowledge of infant development and infant temperament on infant development. Implications for research and practice were discussed among with the main results of this study.
