유아의 사회적 능력 및 의사소통 능력과 자기조절력과의 관계 = A Study of Young Children`s Interactive Self-Regulation Relative to Social Competence and Communication Competence

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the relationship among young children`s self-regulation, social competence, and communication competence to examine predictive variables affecting the children`s self-regulation. To do so, 144 children of 5-year-old in kindergarten from Seoul were participated. ‘social competence assessment’, ‘communication competence assessment’, and ‘Rating scale for self-regulation of 3-6 year-old-children’ were used in collection of data. Collected data were verified by Pearson`s correlatin on coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings were as follows: First, the study showed positive correlation among social competence, communication competence and children`s self-regulation. Second, the study found that expression (a sub-factor of communication competence) and initiative, sociability, and cooperation (sub-factors of social competence) are the predictive variables affecting the children`s self-regulation.
