공대 남학생과의 비교를 통한 여자 공대생의 전공수업 및 진로관련 심리적 요인 예측변인 탐구 = Factors that predict the adjustment to the class, the class satisfactions, the career aspirations, and the career self-efficacy of male and female engineering students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate which psychological factors and perception of the environment predicts the adjustment to the class, the satisfaction of the classes, the career aspirations, and the career self-efficacy of male and female engineering students. The multiple regression results showed that the competence was the most predictable factor for both male and female engineering students. Also, the female students' perceived stereotypical responses from the professors during the class and the male colleagues during the group activities were important predictors on their career related variables. The small number of the role models in the engineering school environments for female engineering students were also the important factors in terms of the satisfactions of the class and the adjustment to the class. The future research direction was discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 남녀 공과대학생의 학업에 대한 심리내적요인과 환경지각요인이 이들의 전공 및 진로 관련 요인에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 개인의 심리 내적변인, 즉 유능성지각, 자율성지각, 사회적 기술, 스트레스 대처기술과 환경지각 변인 즉, 교수자 성역할기대, 학생 성역할기대, 역할모델의 유무, 소속감, 전공수업관련 요인인 전공 만족도, 수업적응과 진로관련 요인인 진로포부, 직업관련 자기효능감이 어떠한 상호관련성이 있는지, 그리고 전공수업과 진로관련 요인을 심리내적변인과 환경지각변인이 어떻게 예측하는지 분석하였다. 경기도에 소재하고 있는 공과대학 학생 956명(남학생 638명, 여학생 318명)을 대상으로 하여 중다회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 공과대학의 남녀 학생 모두 교수자 성역할기대와 학생 성역할기대가 다른 변인들과 유의한 부적상관을 보였다. 남녀 학생의 전공만족도와 전공수업 적응을 예측하는데 개인의 심리 내적변인에서는 유능감지각, 자율성지각의 동기적 변인이 중요한 변인이었으며, 유능감지각, 교수자 성역할기대 변인이 남녀 학생의 진로포부와 직업관련 자기효능감을 예측하는데 중요한 변인이었다. 역할모델의 유무는 남학생의 전공 및 진로관련 변인만을 유의하게 예측하였다. 여성의 진출이 증가하고 있는 공과대학에서의 성차연구와 여학생의 심리적 기제 연구의 필요성이 논의되었다.
