치료실 환경에서 장애아동 부모의 행동과 내적 경험에 관한 질적 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: This study was conducted as qualitative research using a phenomenological approach for exploring the behaviors and emotions that handicapped children's parents show in clinical environments while their children are being treated and to understand the inner semantic structure of these behaviors and emotions. Methods: Fourteen parents of handicapped children who visited a language psychology research center in Gyeonggi-do were observed and they were given in-depth interviews. Results: Six meaningful themes were derived form the results of this study. In the aspect of the parents' observed behaviors, time for the self, time for sharing together, and time for taking interest in the contents of the children's treatment were observed. In the aspect of the parents' inner experiences, which were examined through in-depth interviews, time of anxiety, time of resting, and time of hope were found. In addition, five themes, namely, the period of treatment, having a companion or others in the waiting room, the child's improvement in performance, trust in the process of treatment, and the condition of the waiting roon environment were found to affect the parents' behaviors and inner experiences. What is more, clear differences were observed between the contents of the parents' behaviors observed objectively and the contents of their inner experiences examined through in-depth interviews. Conclusions: Accordingly, the findings of this study are expected of provide crucial information of understanding the relationship between parents' behaviors and their emotions in clinic environments and promoting basic trust between clinicians and parents for the parents' peaceful behaviors and inner experiences.
