어머니의 어린이집 선택 고려 요인과 만족도와의 관계 = A Study on the Relationship of Mothers for the Choice of Daycare Center and Their Satisfaction Level

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 어머니의 어린이집 선택 고려 요인과 만족도와의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 어린이집의 효율적인 운영방안과 보육서비스의 질적 향상에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 어머니의 어린이집 선택 시에 고려 요인은 유아의 형제 수와 연령에 따라 차이를 보였으며, 유아의 성별에 따른 차이는 없었다. 둘째, 어머니의 어린이집에 대한 만족도는 유아의 형제 수와 연령에 따라 차이를 보였으며, 유아의 성별에 따른 차이는 없었다. 셋째, 어머니들은 어린이집 선택 시에 일반적인 운영관리 및 교육과정, 원장의 자질, 교사의 자질, 교사-유아의 상호작용 요인 등 어린이집 전반에 대해 고려를 많이 할수록 어린이집에 대한 만족도가 높았다.
이상과 같은 연구결과를 볼 때, 어린이집에서는 유아교육에 대해 어머니들이 가지고 있는 다양한 요구 및 관심을 파악하여 교육의 효과를 높일 수 있는 질 높은 교육과정 수립 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다. 또한 부모에게 어린이집에 대한 확실한 정보를 충분히 제공할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is was to examine the relationship of mothers for the choice of daycare center and their satisfaction level. The major findings of the study were as follows:
First, there were differences among the mothers in considerations for the choice of daycare center according to the number of preschooler's siblings and their age, and no differences were found according to preschooler gender. Second, there were gaps among the mothers in satisfaction level with the daycare center they chose according to the number of preschooler's siblings and their age, and no differences were found according to preschooler gender. Third, the mothers expressed higher satisfaction with the daycare center they selected when they took more considerations on everything related to daycare such as operation, curriculum, principal qualifications, teacher qualifications and teacher-preschooler interaction.
Given the above-mentioned findings of the study, it's required to keep track of the needs of mothers for early childhood education and their interests to determine how to compile a quality curriculum to enhance the effects of education. And daycare centers should provide plenty of accurate information for parents.
