청소년 병원자원봉사자 사전 교육프로그램(PTHV) 개발 및 효과 검증 = A Pre-training Program Development for Teenager Hospital Volunteers(PTHV) and its Effectiveness

The present study attempted to develop a Pre-training Program for Teenager Hospital Volunteers
(PTHV). The study investigated the following research questions:
1. Is it possible to configure the appropriate Pre-training Program for Teenager Hospital Volunteers (PTHV)?
2. Could a Pre-training Program for Teenager Hospital Volunteers (PTHV) be empirically verified for validity?
2-1. Does a Pre-training Program for Teenager Hospital Volunteers (PTHV) effectively increase the scores of
volunteering attitude in the treatment group than those in the control group?
2-2. Does a Pre-training Program for Teenager Hospital Volunteers (PTHV) effectively increase the scores of
volunteering motivation in the treatment group than those in the control group?
The Pre-training Program for Teenager Hospital Volunteers (PTHV) was developed based on the program development model previously designed in this study. The Pre-training Program for Teenager Hospital Volunteers (PTHV) was made up of 10 sessions: 50 minutes per session and included 30 volunteers volunteered to participate in the program who were randomly allotted into 2 groups of 15. The volunteers of treatment group received the Pre-training Program for Teenager Hospital Volunteers (PTHV), while the volunteers of the control group had no treatment. The final data was collected from 30 volunteers in each group. The program used for data analysis was SPSS 18.0 for Windows and the significance level for hypothesis testing was set at .05. The results were as follows: First, the treatment group showed significantly higher scores than the control group on the levels of volunteering attitude. Second, the treatment group showed significantly higher scores than the control group on the levels of volunteering motivation. In conclusion, this study suggests that the Pre-training Program for Teenager Hospital Volunteers (PTHV) was developed properly.
