청소년 자원봉사활동 만족도 조사 연구 : 병원자원봉사활동을 중심으로 = (A) Study on the Satisfaction Level of Volunteer Activity of Teenagers : Focusing on Volunteering Activity in Hospital

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 청소년 문제가 심각한 문제로 대두되고 있는 원인은 급격한 사회변화와 다원화 외에 학교교육이 상급학교 진학을 위한 입시위주의 교육으로 전락되어 청소년들의 자아성장을 도모하기보다는 이기적 성향을 가지도록 함으로써, 그들의 사회성 개발에 많은 문제점을 노출시키고 있다는 점이다. 이러한 문제들을 해결함에 있어서 중요한 것은 변화하는 사회에 적절하게 대응할 수 있는 능력이나 태도의 배양이며, 이 같은 능력과 태도의 습득은 무엇보다 청소년의 자발적인 자원봉사활동을 통하여 체득될 수 있을 것이다.
본 연구는 청소년기 특히 고등학생들의 자원봉사활동의 실태를 조사·분석하여 나타나는 문제점을 살펴보고 이러한 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. 또한, 고등학생들이 보다 효율적으로 자원봉사활동에 참여할 수 있도록 학교 교육내의 터전 마련을 위한 기초자료를 제공한다는데 그 의의와 목적을 두고 있다.
보건 의료분야에서의 자원봉사활동은 의료기관이 지역사회문제를 예방하고 지역주민의 건강과 보건, 의료를 책임지고 있다는 점에서 중요한 지역사회자원으로 부각되고 있다. 지역사회의 자원인 자원봉사자들을 통한 병원의 이미지 제고 및 업무의 활용에까지 인식이 되고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 학생들의 자원봉사활동으로 인한 일선 기관에서의 프로그램 준비 미흡 및 자원봉사활동에 대한 의식부족, 체계적인 관리 부재로 인한 학생과 기관의 불만 누적 등 여러 문제점들이 현실로 나타나고 있다. 병원 학생 자원봉사 프로그램 역시 의료라는 특성에 맞는 체계적인 홍보 및 모집, 배치, 관리 등의 연구가 선행되지 못하고 사회복지사 또는 담당자에 의해 진행되고 있다.
요즘 학생봉사활동은 기관, 학교, 학부모들의 고른 참여를 통해서 좋은 결과가 나올 수 있으며 이는 우리 사회가 입시교육 현실에서 발생할 수 있는 문제나 학교폭력사태 같은 폐해를 조금이나마 줄일 수 있다고 판단된다. 기관에서는 일반 학생뿐만 아니라 학교의 문제학생들을 대상으로 사회봉사의 참여를 가질 수 있는 프로그램이 활성화되어야 한다고 본다.

In addition to the rapid social changes and diversification, there is other cause of severe problems of teenagers that school education is focusing on entering a school of higher grade so much that it doesn't encourage teenagers to develop themselves but provoke their selfish disposition, so has a lot of problems with developing the development of their social characteristic. In order to solve these problems, it is most important to develop the ability or attitude to cope with the changing society, and this kind of ability or attitude can be obtained through volunteering activity.
This study examined the problems of volunteering activity of teenagers, especially high school students, on the basis of research and analysis of actual condition of volunteering activity of them. In addition, it tried to provide the basic data for establishing the foundation for effective volunteering activity for students within school education.
The volunteering activity in health and medical field emerges as an important resource of communities in that the medical institutions prevent the problems of communities and are responsible for health and medical service of local residents. It is also recognized as a way of improving the image of hospital and using volunteer workers as human resources of hospital. However, there are yet a lot of problems such as the inadequate programs of terminal institutions, the lack of consciousness of volunteer workers, the unsatisfaction of students and institutions for the absence of systematic management. The preliminary research is not conducted concerning the systematic publicity and recruitment, and disposition and management of volunteer workers, and all these things are performed by social workers or persons in charge of them.
The volunteering activity of students can achieve a good result only if institutions, schools, and parents participate in this equally. It is expected to prevent the problems caused in the situation of education focusing on the entrance exam and the school violence. And the program should be revitalized which can give an opportunity of volunteering activity not only to general students but also to problem students.
