        재한 중국 유학생의 학업지속 의도에 관한 연구: 한중 SNS 이용, 사회적 지지, 대학생활 적응을 중심으로

        본 연구는 우리나라 학위과정에 재학중인 유학생들의 학업중단 현상에 주목하여 유학생 출신국 중에서 가장 큰 비중을 차지하는 중국 유학생을 대상으로 학업지속 의도에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하고자하였다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 한국과 중국 SNS 이용이 한국과 중국인 동료로부터의 정서와 학업에 관한 사회적 지지에 영향을 주는지, 정서와 학업적 지지가 대학생활 적응에 영향을 주는지, 대학생활 적응이 학업지속 의도에 영향을 주는지 연구모델을 제시하고 검증하였다. 본 연구의 데이터는 서울 소재 4년제 대학 12곳에 재학 중인 중국인 유학생을 중심으로 온라인 설문을 실시하여 수집하였다. 샘플 수집은 눈덩이 표집 방법을 사용하였고 253 명을 최종 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 연구결과 중국인 유학생의 학업지속 의도는 대학생활 적응 요인(학업적응, 사회적응, 정서적응, 대학애착) 중에서 대학애착과 긍정적 관련이 있었다. 한국 SNS와 중국SNS 이용에 관한 모델을 검증한 결과, 대학애착은 중국과 한국 동료로부터 학업에대하여 도움을 받고 있다는 인식과 더불어 한국 SNS를 통하여 한국인 동료로부터 학업에 대하여 정보를 얼마나 자주 얻는가와 연관이 있었다. 요악하면 중국 유학생들이 한국과 중국 SNS를 이용하여 같이 수업듣는 한국인과 중국인 동료와 학업에 대한 커뮤니케이션을 많이 할수록 대학에 대한만족감이 높아지고 학업을 지속할 의도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. This study pays attention to international students’ significant drop-out rates in Korean college degree. Chinese students are the biggest group among international students in college. This study investigates factors affecting Chinese students’ intention to retain in college. This study proposes and tests a conceptual model of intention to retain in college with Chinese and Korean SNS use, social support, adjustment to college. Data were collected through online survey among Chinese students enrolled in twelve 4-year Universities located in Seoul. The total of 253 students who were recruited by a snowbolling sampling method participated in the study. The results showed that only college attachment out of four ‘adjustment to college’ factors(academic adjustment, social adjustment, emotional adjustment, college attachment) positively affected intention to retain in college. When examining a model of Korean SNS and Chinese SNS usage, it was found that perceived academic support from Chinese and Korean classmates and how often they get academic information using Korean SNS affected positively college attachment. In sum, the more Chinese students get academic information using Chinese SNS and Korean SNS, the more they are satisfied with college and then the more they are likely to retain in college

        Self-authorship development in Chinese college students: a grounded theory approach

        Chinese higher education institutions would be more efective in assisting college graduates to meet the requirements of an increasingly complex society if they had a better understanding of Chinese college student development. Self-authorship theory, which was initially developed for use in the USA, is relevant to contemporary Chinese society’s college graduate expectations. However, due to possible limitations on the application of this theory to diferent cultures, it is necessary to examine Chinese college students’ self-authorship development rather than presuming there is a similarity to US students. In this study, we used a grounded theory approach to explore the self-authorship development in Chinese college students. Using purposeful and theoretical sampling, we asked 13 junior and senior college students to share their signifcant college experiences, after which we conducted a constant comparative analysis. We found that while Chinese college students developed self-authorship during their undergraduate college years, they did not achieve full self-authorship by graduation. While the overall patterns of development in the epistemological, interpersonal, and intrapersonal domains were similar to those found in US students, there were distinctive aspects in each domain that were specifc to Chinese higher education. We used the students’ narratives on their college experiences to illustrate their journeys toward self-authorship.

      • Research on the Current Status of College Students of South Korea in Practising Chinese kung fu Lessons

        Purpose: To understand and master current situation about college students of South Korea in learning Chinese martial arts courses, as well as real problem and environment about Chinese martial arts courses launched in universities of South Korea, to raise corresponding counter measures and suggestions on development of kung fu lessons in universities of South Korea, to promote the development of Kung Fu sports in universities of South Korea , to serve Internationalization of the Chinese Kung Fu sports. Method: This paper was based on a questionnaire survey which was made in Yongin Univerisity.119 questionnaires were distributed and all of them were taken back, and lastly effective rate is 100%. The survey was for getting familiar with current situation about how college students of South Korean are learning Chinese martial arts. Deep interview was made to know better about teaching and training situation of specific Chinese martial arts between teachers and students. Besides, through learning Chinese martial arts, we’d love to figure out some questions. For example: whether college students of South Korea can deepen the understanding of China, Chinese culture and Chinese martial arts or not? Whether they are more willing to learn Chinese culture and Chinese martial arts, as well as how do colleges and universities of South Korean promote Chinese martial arts in a more efficient way? Result: Few universities in South Korea are currently establishing Chinese martial arts courses, The development of sports of South Korea have private characteristics and their own way , so being foreign sports project in South Korea, promoting can be certain difficult, but the trend is very good; students are satisfied with teacher``s attitude and approach of teaching in the learning process, and also are able to understand the Chinese culture through learning martial arts, but what students learned about Chinese culture is vague, which are not clear and concrete, not to mention identity of Chinese culture, which are related with the forms of promotion of martial arts and means; While comparing with some specific sports like South Korea Taekwondo, Chinese martial arts is a lack of skill and difficult to learn the complex movement; but for most of the students, they are willing to keep on learning Chinese martial arts if there are any opportunity in the future. Conclusion: As Chinese martial arts became a formal event in some international competitions like the Asian Games and World University Games, as well as program of the Olympic Games martial arts of China, more and more countries have gradually realized the importance of China martial arts project, so it’s an inevitable trend that Chinese martial arts are established in universities of South Korea; The contents of teaching should be adaptive to the psychology and demand of college students of South Korea when Chinese martial arts are taught in universities of South Korea. Here are some examples: the martial arts project should be more simple, interesting and practical, and also a variety of teaching methods should be adopt in the process of teaching, such as the combination of theory and practice, the combination of music and video, and collective creation and performance of teaching content. This improvement will enhance the learning enthusiasm of stu- dents and achieve better teaching effect. In addition; it’s also another way of promoting Chinese culture when Chinese martial arts are more widely established in universities of South Korea, So Chinese culture should be deeply expressed in the dissemination contents of Chinese martial arts, methods of teaching and process of teaching and practicing. The nature of China martial arts should be raised as culture of arts, and eventually college students of South Korea will deeply grasp new Chinese ideas of culture.

        한중 여대생의 기초화장품 구매인식과 용기디자인 선호도 비교

        If customers in the past wanted a balance between price and brand of cosmetics, the contemporary customers take into account the functions and even exterior designs of a cosmetic item. The current study targeted Korean and Chinese female college students residing in Korea and did a comparative analysis of the students' cognizance on basic skin care product container design factors. To this end, a survey was carried out among the Korean and Chinese female college students of a college located in Chungcheong province for 3 weeks, starting from the 25th of October, 2017. The collected data were statistically treated through data coding and data cleaning before analysisusing SPSS v. 21.0 statistial package program. First, analysis of the preference for basic skin care products container shape, revealed that the rectangular shape(58.7%) showed the highest score for both type of the college students. Second, for mouth type of analysis, the 'tincture-mouthed'(32.4%) showed the highest score. For the Chinese college students, the preference was for tincture-mouthed type, while the Korean students preferred the tube-mouthed type. Third, analysis on 'the material of container' showed the highest score(M=3.58). The Chinese college students gave more importance on color, packaging design and the material than the Korean students. Results showed that the Korean students gave more importance on quality, price/quantity and brand when buying basic skin care products, and quality, price/quantity highly affected their re-purchasing. On the other hand, the Chinese students emphasized on quality, packaging design and brand when buying the basic skin products, and packing design had a large influence on their re-purchasing behavior. Furthermore, both the Korean and Chinese students laid stress on color, packing design and material and container designs but the ratio of Chinese was higher than that of the Koreans.

        연구논문 : 한국 대학과 중국인 유학생의 동상이몽; 서울과 지방 소재 사립대학 비교

        이 글은 글로벌 대학의 위계와 불균등한 유학이라는 맥락 속에서 중국인 유학생의 한국 유학 선택이 어떻게 한국 대학의 국제화전략과 맞물리는지를 밝힌다. 특히 한국대학 구조의 위계 속에서 다른 위치를 가진 서울의 B대학과 지방의 C대학 사례를 통해 중국인 유학생 유치 동학(dynamics)을 비교·분석한다. B대학의 경우 대학평가, C대학의 경우 대학재정이라는 유치 동기를 가진다. 두 대학은 글로벌 대학의 위계 속에서 불안정한 위치를 공유하면서 입학의 문턱을 낮춤으로써 중국인 유학생이 약간의 경제력만 되면 손쉽게 한국 유학을 선택할 수 있는 조건을 형성한다. 이에 따라 교육, 평가, 관리등에 다양한 문제가 제기되고 있지만 공론화되지 못하고 있다. 중국인 유학생은 한국어 습득, 한국 관련 관심, 학위취득이라는 주요 동기를 공유하지만, 대학 위계에 따라 한국 유학에 대해 다른 의미를 부여한다. B대학의 중국인 유학생들은 학교 브랜드에 대한 자부심을 가지지만 학업 능력이나 언어 면에서 한계를 느끼고, 상대적으로 낮은 가치를 지니는 한국 유학을 영어권 유학의 차선책으로 인식하였다. 위상이 낮은 C대학의 경우 적극적인 유치전략과 중도탈락을 방지하기 위한 임시방편적 평가를 하기에 중국에서 대학 입시에 실패하거나 전문대를 다니는 학생들이 한국 유학을 손쉬운 대학 진학과 학위취득이 가능한 대안으로 선택하였다. 이는 학업이 아닌 돈을 벌기 위한 목적을 가진 학생들이 유입되는 부작용을 낳기도 한다. 이 글은 한국 대학의 국제화전략으로서 중국인 유학생 유치와 중국인 유학생의 한국 유학 선택의 역동적인 관계를 함께 연구했다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. This article explores how Korean universities` globalization strategies are articulated with Chinese students` choices of study in Korea in the transnational context of hierarchical global higher education and uneven flows of students who study abroad. I compare the dynamics of recruiting Chinese students at B university in Seoul and C university in a provincial city, each of which occupies a different location in the hierarchy of the Korean higher education system. B university recruits Chinese students to promote its own global competitiveness in relation to university evaluation, while C university actively recruits them motivated by financial gain. Because both universities admit Chinese students easily without many requests, Chinese students can choose study in Korea as an easy option, if economically feasible. Although there are several problems in relation to teaching, evaluating and managing Chinese students, these issues are not publicized. Chinese students come to study in Korea in order to learn Korean and get a bachelor`s degree. Chinese students in two universities, however, give study in Korea different meanings. Chinese students at B university feel pride in the brand value of B university, even while they lack the confidence of academic capacity. They also perceive study in Korea as a second best choice because it has less relative brandname value than do institutions of study in English-speaking countries. Because C university with its relatively low-rated reputation actively recruits Chinese students and adopt a stopgap measure for evaluation, Chinese students who failed to enter university or else entered a third-tier or junior college in China, perceive study in Korea as an easy second chance to get into college and get a bachelor`s degree. This study draws our attention to the importance of the globalization strategies of Korean universities, and deepens our understanding of the Chinese students who study in Korea.

        중국인 유학생의 대학생활적응에 관한 연구 -비대면 수업 만족도와 학생지원서비스를 중심으로-

        국내 학령인구의 급감으로 인해 유학생유치가 중요해지면서 급변하는 수업환경에서도 유학생들의 대학생활적응에 대해서는 면밀한 관심이 필요하다. 본 연구는 고등교육기관 내 유학생 비율이 가장 높은 중국인 유학생을 대상으로 비대면 수업 만족도, 학생지원서비스가 대학생활적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지와 코로나19 상황에서 경험한 온라인 수업의 개선점과 대학생활적응의 어려운 점을 탐색하였다. 본 연구에서는 주요 변수 간 관계를 탐색하기 위해 2021년 11월 15일부터 26일까지 약 2주간 온라인 설문조사를 중국인 유학생들을 대상으로 실시하였다. 회귀분석을 사용하여 다음과 같은 분석결과를 도출하였는데, 첫째, 비대면 수업의 품질과 수업 시스템 만족도로 구성된 비대면 수업 만족도는 중국인 유학생의 대학생활적응에 유의한 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 대학의 중국인 유학생 지원서비스 즉, 비교과 프로그램 만족도와 유학생 행정지원 서비스 만족도는 중국인 유학생의 대학생활적응에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 비대면 수업의 개선점은 동료 학생과의 원활한 상호작용, 중요한 수업 공지사항의 정확한 전달, 한국어능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 기회 확대 등으로 나타났다. 넷째, 긴급재난 시 대학생활적응의 어려운 점으로 학업 외 다양한 한국문화 체험 기회의 부족, 자가격리 등의 문제로 중국과 한국간 이동의 제한점, 한국인 선후배 또는 동료 학생과의 교류 기회의 부족 등의 순으로 나타났다. 이 연구결과를 토대로 코로나19와 같은 긴급재난 상황에서의 중국인 유학생의 대학생활적응을 촉진시킬 수 있는 함의를 제시하였다. As attracting international students becomes important due to the sharp decline in the domestic school-age population, close attention is needed to the adaptation of international students to college life even in the rapidly changing class environment. This study explored the effects of non-face-to-face class satisfaction and student support services on college life adaptation for Chinese international students with the highest percentage of international students in higher education institutions, and the difficulties of adapting to college life. In this study, an online survey was conducted on Chinese international students for about two weeks from November 15 to 26, 2021 to explore the relationship between major variables. The following analysis results were derived using regression analysis. First, non-face-to-face class satisfaction consisting of the quality of non-face-to-face classes and satisfaction with the class system had a significant positive effect on Chinese international students’ adaptation to college life. Second, the satisfaction of the university’s Chinese international student support service, that is, the satisfaction of the non-subject program and the administrative support service for international students, had a positive effect on Chinese international students’ adaptation to college life. Third, the improvements in non-face-to-face classes were smooth interaction with fellow students, accurate delivery of important class announcements, and expansion of opportunities to improve Korean language skills. Fourth, due to the difficulty of adapting to college life in case of an emergency disaster, the lack of opportunities to experience various Korean cultures other than studies, limitations of movement between China and Korea due to self-quarantine, and lack of opportunities to interact with Korean seniors and juniors or fellow students. Based on the results of this study, implications that can promote Chinese international students’ adaptation to college life in emergency disaster situations such as COVID-19 were presented.

        한국대학생과 조선족 및 한족 중국유학생간의 스트레스 대처 방식 비교연구

        본 연구의 목적은 대학에 재학 중인 한국 대학생들과 조선족 및 한족 중국 유학생들간의 스트레스 대처 방식의 차이를 검증해 보고 이를 토대로 대학생들을 위한 정신건강 서비스의 효과적인 제공에 대한 시사점을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 검증하기 위해 본 연구에서는 충남권 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 한국인 대학생, 조선족 및 한족 중국 유학생 383명을 대상으로 스트레스 대처방식 설문지를 실시하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 한국 대학생들이 중국 유학생들에 비해 스트레스 상황에서 적극적 대처 방식을 덜 사용하고, 소극적 대처 방식 중에서 소망적 사고를 통한 대처방식을 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 중국 유학생들의 경우 적극적 대처 방식을 더 많이 사용하였고, 적극적 대처 방식 중에서도 문제중심 대처 방식을 많이 사용하였다. 한편 재한 중국 유학생도 조선족 유학생과 한족 유학생 간에는 스트레스 대처방식에 있어 차이가 있었는데 조선족 유학생들은 한국 대학생들과 마찬가지로 한족 유학생들에 비해 소극적 대처 방식 중 하나인 소망적 사고를 통한 대처를 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이후 이러한 연구결과가 우리나라 대학생들과 재한 중국 유학생들의 스트레스 관리를 위한 상담개입에 대해 시사하는 바를 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine whether there were differences in stress coping style between Korean college students and Chinese international students studying in South Korea. A paper-pencil survey was conducted with a sample of 383 Korean and Chinese international students. Results showed that Korean students, as compared with Chinese international students, used active coping less frequently, whereas they tended to resort to wishful thinking more frequently than did Chinese counterparts. On the other hand, Chinese students reported resorting to active coping more frequently, especially problem-oriented coping. Meanwhile, significant differences were found between Korean-Chinese and Chinese students with regard to coping style. Like Korean students, Korean-Chinese students tended to use wishiful thinking more frequently than did Chinese students. Implications of the current findings and future directions for research are discussed.

      • A Study of Chinese College Athletes` English Learning

        Background: As a special English learning group, Chinese college student athletes only account for a tiny percentage of the total English learners in China, but their number is still quite large. Their English education has its unique characteristics, different from the ones of regular students. Firstly, the majority of their time is spent in sports training and attending various matches with little time left for English study. Secondly, their English knowledge basis is weak, and learning methods are outdated and inefficient. Finally, the most important thing for the sports college students is the fact that with the increase of international matches, their international communication skills have determined whether they are able to integrate smoothly into international arena and also greatly affected their career future. Therefore, a research to understand and analyze Chinese college student athletes` English learning and further to put forward a proper learning strategy for them have vital practical significance to their English study. Purpose: This paper analyzes the problems Chinese college student athletes encounter in learning English and provides relevant approaches for improvement. Method: Literature review, interview, case-study Results: 1. Chinese college student athletes have two common paths of English learning . One is the routine English skills training in college English courses. And the other is through attending international matches and overseas life experience, which offer chances to improve their practical English proficiency. 2. The improvement of Chinese college student athletes` English level will greatly increase their interaction with overseas sports persons, agencies and spectators and promote related sports items` popularity. And the students will also be able to independently cope with everyday life and communications in and out of the sports arenas, adapting well to meet with the requirements of a more and globalized Chinese sports. Conclusions: 1. In terms of English learning modes, Chinese college student athletes should fully exploit the advantages of modern teaching resources by adopting online teaching tools such as learning on Weibo, Weixin and video teaching platforms like MOOC, along with other flexible approaches. 2. As for English study content, Chinese college student athletes should strengthen their sports spoken English and technical English expressions. Due to their widespread problem of an unsolid English language foundation, there are still unavoidable grammar mistakes. Therefore, a systematical English writing study should be suggested to prepare them for a better career prospect.

      • A Study on the Comparison of Recognition of Body Types in Korean and Chinese College Female Students

        Ever since China adopted a free market economy, it has been basking in unprecedented economic growth. It has now emerged as one of the most promising markets in the world for the near future, The purpose of this study was to investigate of Chinese and Korea college female students's cognitive body type and to suggest basic informations for high quality clothing merchandising for china export. The subjects in this study were 430 college female students, aged from 18 to 24 living in Beijing(215) and Seoul(215). The survey were taken from June to July, 199. SAS (Statistical Analysis System) is used for frequency, [ercentage, average, standard deviation, χ²-test. The results ofthis study are as follows. The 90% of Chinese college female students has under 4000 yuan for monthly income, and they consume less than 1000 yuan for clothing purchasing for one year. About 42% chinese students are interested in controlling of physical body shape. The korean college female students has from 1,000,000 won to 10,000,000 won for monthly income, and 84% of them consume less than 1,000,000 for clothing purchasing for one year. It represents of economical difference between China and Korea. Examination on the Korean and Chinese self-perception on obesity of the body as a whole showed that both groups perceived themselves as normal or lightly overweight. More Korean respondents regarded their weight as normal than the Chinese did. The Chinese female college students perceived themselves rather overweight, and held a lower satisfaction level about their physical construction. While the Korean female college students showed low satisfaction level about specific bodily parts, they held a normal level of satisfaction about their physical construction as a whole, It is noteworthy that more Chinese respondents generally held lower satisfaction impressions about their physical construction than their Korean counterparts. It is needed to different merchandising project for export clothing in China.

      • 한·중 대학생의 돈에 대한 태도와 경제윤리의식에 대한 비교

        The purpose of this study was to find how money beliefs and economic ethics of college students were different between Korean and Chinese in Korea. Questionnaire survey method and random sampling method were utilized. Survey was conducted from 14 August to 3 September, 2009 and 320 college students(Korean 160, Chinese 160) were selected. Main results were as follows: First, Korean students believed more strongly that money is important in their life than Chinese students. Second, for Korean students, male students believed more strongly that money is important in their life than female students. For Chinese students, however, there was no significant money beliefs differences by gender. Third, Korean students had higher level of economic ethics than Chinese students. These main results implied that the economic and living environments for people might affect the people's beliefs and ethics, especially for the young people.
