        The purpose of this study was to find any differences in young children's social- cognitive play form and the peer-play interactions according to the relations of sibling. In order to solve problems, focused on 90 4 year-old K-kindergarten living in Busan. The instruments which are used for understanding the play form according to children's presence of sibling and order of birth: Rubin, Maioni and Hormung(1976) are made for estimating at once with a mean to combinate social- cognitive play steps. those are used social-cognitive play scale which are adapted by sung-ae Ji(1996). In order to scaling the peer-play interactions, the Penn Interactive Peer Play Sca1e(PIPPS) those are made by Fantuzzo, Sutton-Smith, Coolahan, Manz, Canning and Debnam(1995), those aie used which adapted by su-young Kim(2000). The sca1es(PIPPS-T) are composed of 32 questions, instructors rate actions of each children. Analyzing datum For calculating results, used SPSS 12 version, statistics analysis program and conducted t-verification which is based on the average and the standard deviation. After that process, the study results were as follows. First, there are significant differences social-cognitive play form according to children's presence of sibling. the children who have siblings much appeared that they prefer to group-role play, group-rule play, group-constructive play, group-functional play, parallel-role play, few appeared solitary-constructive play, non play, solitary-role play, solitary-functional play. there were the children who have sibling much do group play and e children who don't have sibling much do solitary play of social play form. Second, there are meaningful differences in forms of social-cognitive play at the part of subordinate variable according to children's order of birth, the fust child mostly appeared in parallel-constructive play, Parallel-functional play than second-above child, the second-above child mostly appeared group-role play more than the first child, those are indicated that the first child prefer parallel play, second-above one prefer group-role play. Third, there are meaningfu1 differences in the peer-play interactions at the part of subordinate variable according to children's presence of sibling, therefore, children who have sibling gained high score in interactive peer-play, on the contrary children who don't have sibling gained high score in cutting play. Forth, there are meaningful differences in the peer-play interactions the part of subordinate variable according to children's order of birth, therefore, the first child gained higher score in interactive peer-play than second-above child.

      • 환경 동화를 활용한 환경교육 프로그램이 유아의 친환경적 태도 형성에 미치는 효과

        This research examines the effects of an environmental education program using environmental picture books on forming environmentally friendly attitudes of kindergarteners. It was implemented with 56 five-year-old children in D city. The experimental group, which participated in an environmental education program using environmental picture books, was compared to a control group which did not have any environmental education program. To find out the effects of forming environmentally friendly attitudes, CATES-PV (The Children's Attitudes Toward the Environment Scale-Preschool Version) as a research tool which Musser and Diamond (1999) made and Lee, Gyu-Jin (2006) modified was revised according to the purpose and contents of this research. This tool is designed to measure two subordinate factors, which are nature friendly attitude and environment preservation attitude. This research progressed in the order of pilot study, Pre-test, experimental treatment and post-test. For the experimental program continued for 8 weeks, the children were read- aloud the books twice per week. After the read-aloud activity, Physical expression activities, games, Play activities, modeling activities, and science activities as far extended activities. To identify if there was a significant difference between groups after the experiment, the average and standard deviation of the children's attitude toward environment were calculated. Then, ANCOVA was utilized by putting pre-scores of two groups as covariate and post-scores of two groups as dependent variables. The results from this study are as follow. First, the environmental education program using environmental picture books was effective in forming environmentally friendly attitudes of young children. Second, the environmental education program using environmental picture books was effective in forming nature friendly attitudes. Third, the environmental education program using environmental picture books was effective in forming environment preservation attitudes.

      • 유아교사의 생활양식과 건강상태에 관한 연구

        This study was to raise awareness of the importance which preschool teachers should practice right life style, by examining their lifestyle and health state. I looked into preschool teachers' food, clothing, and housing as a lifestyle, and their physical and psychological conditions as a health state. 400 preschool teachers in Busan were given a questionnaire, and 347 responses of them were used for this study. For achieving the purpose of this study, two research questions were as followings. 1. How is the life style of preschool teachers? 2. How is the status of preschool teachers? The result of this study showed that preschool teachers were more likely to wear mainly clothes processed by a softening agent in clothing life and many of them tended to eat fast or not to chew their food well when they had lunch or a snack in food life. In identified that in housing-related life, they were less likely to use a carpet or polyurethane mat and more likely to change teaching tools and furniture into new ones. Most of them were less likely to do regular exercise in medical life, and of the lifestyle, the clothing life averaged at the least, It also showed that their physical condition was not good, while their psychological condition was normal. Concerning the state of diseases, 50.1 percent were diagnosed with a disease by doctors. The most common disease they suffered from was anemia, followed by gastroenteric disorder, obesity, gynecologic diseases, ruptured disk and thyroid diseases.

      • 유아놀이에서 나타나는 언어세계에 대한 의미 탐구

        Young children's world of language is fill with fresh and joyful sign. Play is one of the most significant context to reveal young children's language. This study attempts a phenomenological exploration on the meaning of children's language during play time. This study used phenomenological skills to observe 30 children's distinctive ability of using language during free play time in 5 year-old class at a kindergarten located in P city area. The data collected through 30 times of observation include observation note, in-depth interview with classroom teachers, and researcher's field note. The result showed that young children make rich the world of meaning to use and produce language in play time. The children knew what are the rule of play through insight and they create rules of play. They were also able to deconstruct and reconstruct signs by using imagination and metaphor which are the most powerful symbol of consciousness in early childhood period. This study discussed that early childhood teachers should be more careful to listen and respect children's own language which is not a measure of development or fuction but an expression of inner world.

      • 공립유치원 고경력 교사가 인식한 교직갈등의 요인 및 갈등정도

        This study sets out to examine the conflicts experienced by teachers in public kindergartens while doing their jobs, with seven primary factors, namely; the teacher herself, the relations between teacher and child, relations with co-workers, relations with parents, administrative and financial support, social recognition and the early childhood education system. The research questions were set as follows: First, each of the primary factors were assigned specific questions ranked in degree of conflict perceived by highly experienced teachers in public kindergartens. The predominant factors were as follows; with regard to the teacher herself, the main concern was 'how long do I work as a kindergarten teacher,` In relations between the teacher and child the most common complaint was, 'I had some physical symptoms during the time period when we had to attract and enroll new students, that gave me a lot of stress.' In relations with co-workers, stress arose from, 'elementary teachers looking down on kindergarten teachers, because they don't fully understand the importance of early childhood education.' In the relations with parents, teachers felt stressed 'when parents complained about safety problems occurring with children.' Second, with regards to the schools' administrative and financial support problems arose due to 'the many different official documents, which made it hard to work efficiently.' In the section on social recognition the problem was that 'there is a popular opinion which holds that older teachers are not suited to teaching kindergarten.' In the early childhood education system it was 'the inconsistencies in financial support for children in early childhood education, with public kindergarten, Private kindergarten and day care center receiving different degrees of financial support.'

      • 그림책의 상호텍스트성 연구 : 메타픽션 기법을 중심으로

        The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between intertextuality and metafictive devices of children's picture books. For this purpose the three major research questions are selected as follows. Question 1. What is the feature of the intertextuality in children's picture books? Question 2. What is the feature of the metafictive devices in children's picture books? Question 3. How is the intertextuality represented through the metafictive devices in children's picture books? To prove those subjects, I analyzed the way metafictive devices are presented in the intertextuality, covering 4 selected picture books. All of the subjects 1, 2, 3, are composed of literature researches. The mtertextuality of the selected picture books was analyzed in the context of transtextuality, which was presented in the study by Harris and Mckenzie(2005). The metafictive devices was analyzed on the basis of 17 metafictive devices from the study of Panta1eo(2005). In the picture books, metafictive devices were actually used, so I focused on how the intertextuality is presented. The summery of the research result is as following; First, the intertextuality in children's picture books is represented as a form of familiar characters in film, TV soap opera, or fairy tales. Other factors around text, such as book covers, book wings and end papers were used as cues for the authors to take note. Those surroundings provided a clue to understand the story. Second, the metafictive devices were presented as peculiar features of stories and illustrations because the technique bridges each text and induces active participation from readers. The metafictive device in the picture book shows more than two narratives are connected and conclude as one story. Differently sized, colored letters and typograpic methods were used as a way to exhibit metafiction. Third, the result of study to examine how the intertextuality was presented shows that pastiche or parody methods were used in characters, narratives, and background settings. This is due to the communication method of a picture book. The intertextuality was exhibited sometimes in inner scenes of the books or sometimes in quotations from other genres or other authors' books, In particular, certain characters from well-known fairy tales showed more intertextuality.
