        Visualized Assurance Approach for Enterprise Architecture

        In software engineering, to ensure reliability between systems, describing both system architecture and assurance arguments between system elements is considered necessary. There are proposals for system architecture assurance, but use of these traditional methods often requires development of different diagrams using different editors. Because the visual sense of the traditional methods is inadequate, errors readily occur when manipulating different diagrams. Therefore, it is essential that the assurance of dependability between components and systems is visualized and easy to understand. In this paper, an integrated approach to describe the relationship between system actors and system architecture is proposed, and this approach is clarified using an enterprise architecture modeling language. A case study is carried out and comparison to the traditional approach $d^*$ framework is explained. The comparison results show that the proposed approach is more suitable for ensuring dependability in system architecture.

        Two-level multiblock statistical monitoring for plant-wide processes

        Due to the complexity of plant-wide processes, many of the current multivariate statistical process monitoring techniques are lacking in interpretation of the detected fault, and fault identification also becomes difficult. A new two-level multiblock independent component analysis and principal component analysis (MBICA-PCA) method is proposed in this paper. Different from the conventional method, the new approach can incorporate block information into the high level for global process monitoring. Through the new method, the process monitoring task can be greatly reduced and the interpretation for the process can be made more quickly. When a fault is detected, a two-step fault identification method is proposed. The responsible sub-block is first identified by contribution plots, which is followed by fault reconstruction in the corresponding sub-block for advanced fault identification. A case study of the Tennessee Eastman (TE) process evaluates the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method.

        Yield, Nutritional Content, and Antioxidant Activity of Pleurotus ostreatus on Corncobs Supplemented with Herb Residues

        Improper disposal of herb residues in China has caused severe problems to the surrounding environment and human safety. Three herb residues, i.e., compound Kushen injection residues (CKI) and part one and part two of Qizhitongluo Capsule residues (QC1 and QC2, respectively), were used for the cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus. The effect of the supplementation of corncobs (CC) with different herb residues on yield, nutritional composition, and antioxidant activity of P. ostreatus was investigated. Compared to the control, the higher mycelial growth rate was observed on substrates CC +30% CKI and CC +30% QC1, while the higher yield was obtained from substrates CC +30% QC2 and CC +30% CKI. Moreover, chemical analysis of fruit bodies revealed that the addition of herb residues to CC significantly increased proteins, amino acids, ashes, minerals (Na and Ca), and total phenolic contents but significantly reduced carbohydrates and IC50 values of DPPH radicals. In addition, no heavy metals (Pb, Cd, and As) were detected in the fruiting bodies harvested from different substrate combinations. These results demonstrated that mixtures of CC with herb residues might be utilized as a novel, practical, and easily available substrate for the cultivation of P. ostreatus, which is beneficial for the effective management of herb residues.

        It is very important to explore the joint distribution functions of dependent random variables in actuarial theory for dependent risks. In this paper, in the basis of the samples, the method of estimating comonotonic factor and countermonotic factor is given through Kendall’s tau and Spearman’s tho between random variables then approximate expression of copula decomposition is acquired. Furthermore, selection Clayton Clayton Copual as an example, a satisfactory result is obtained in error of estimate by stochastic simulations.

        Compound Machining of Tungsten Alloy Aspheric Mould by Oblique-axis Grinding and Magnetorheological Polishing

        With the increase in demand for various types of small-aperture aspherical optical parts, the machining of a small tungsten carbide alloy mould with high accuracy is not only required, but essential. Ultra-precision grinding is generally used to process the small tungsten alloy aspheric mould, but there are some grinding marks and surface defects left by grinding. Aimed at the problems above, this paper introduce a new compound processing technology which integrates ultra-precision grinding and oblique-axis magnetorheological polishing technology on the same machine tool. First, we developed the machining equipment of oblique-axis ultra-precision grinding and magnetorheological polishing, and then, we analyzed the surface accuracy, surface roughness, microstructure and subsurface damage of tungsten alloy aspheric mould after grinding and polishing. The experimental results indicated that the surface accuracy of workpiece was improved to smaller than 200 nm in PV value, surface roughness Ra was reduced to about 1 nm after using the compound processing technology.

        Comprehensive evaluation method of groundwater environment in a mining area based on fuzzy set theory

        Disordered mining activities have significantly affected the eco-geological environment of groundwater in mining area. Based on the fuzzy set theory, this paper considered three factors: the quantity of groundwater resources, groundwater environmental quality and groundwater vulnerability, and established a multi-index and multi-parameter non-linear evaluation system to make a comprehensive evaluation of the groundwater environment in the mining area. The results showed that the groundwater eco-geological environmental issues in this region were serious. The distribution area of poor quality of groundwater environment was very large, accounting for 72.5% of the studied area, and it mainly distributed in the middle and southern regions. The areas with general groundwater quality covered about 19.0% and mainly distributed in the central and northern parts in a strip shape. The areas with good groundwater quality covered about 8.5% and distributed sporadically. Moreover, in the study area, because the groundwater vulnerability was at a high level and the groundwater environmental quality was poor, the groundwater was extremely susceptible to contamination. Therefore, the groundwater environment in the area should be significantly protected during coal mining. In addition, the predicted results can provide a scientific reference for the planning and sustainable development of large coalfields.

        Spectroscopic study on the intermolecular interaction of SO2 absorption in poly-ethylene glycol+H2O systems

        Poly-Ethylene Glycol (PEG) 300+H2O solutions (PEGWs) has been used as a promising medium for theabsorption of SO2. We investigated the UV, FTIR, 1H-NMR, and fluorescence spectra in the absorption processes ofSO2 in PEGWs to present an important absorption mechanism. Based on the spectral results, the possibility of intermolecularhydrogen bond formation by hydroxyl oxygen atom in the PEG molecule with hydrogen atom in H2O andS…O interaction formation by the oxygen atoms in PEG with the sulfur atom in SO2 are discussed. This shows thatthe spectral changes may be due to the formation of -CH2CH2O(H)…HOH… and -CH2-CH2-O(CH2-CH2-)…HOH…in PEGWs and the formation of -CH2CH2OH…OSO…, and intermolecular S…O interaction between PEG and SO2as the formation of -CH2CH2OCH2CH2O(H)…(O)S(O)… and -CH2-CH2-O(CH2-CH2-)…(O)S(O)…. The existenceof these bonds benefits the absorption and desorption processes of SO2 in PEGWs.

        Rail corrugation characteristics in small radius curve section of Cologne-egg fasteners

        The typical passing frequencies of corrugation were obtained by analysing the measured corrugation data in small radius curve track with Cologne-egg fasteners. The threedimensional solid element model of track structure was established with the software ABAQUS, and modal analysis was carried out to determine the relationship between natural frequencies of track structure and passing frequencies of corrugation. By using the material wear model based on friction work theory, the frequency characteristics of corrugation and the development law of wear under different speeds were studied, and the control measures of corrugation were analysed. The new point of this study is to implement the above dynamic analysis from the perspective of vehicle (with flexible wheelsets) track space coupling, which can consider the coupled relationship in three directions of space. The results show that the generation of corrugation is closely related to the mechanical characteristics of track structure. Passing frequencies do not change with speeds, reflecting the frequency-fixing characteristics of corrugation. The analysis of control measures of corrugation shows that the smaller the friction coefficient is, the less likely the rail is to produce corrugation. The existence of rail vibration absorber can eliminate the generation of some short wavelength corrugation and reduce the rail bending vibration, which has a significant effect on the control of corrugation.
