A Novel Capacitive Negative Electrode Material of Fe3N
Zhi-Yun Zhao,Wei-Bin Zhang,Xue-Jing Ma,Kai Li,Yue Zhao,Jian-Fei Gao,Long Kang,Ling-Bin Kong 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2018 NANO Vol.13 No.1
A capacitive negative electrode material of Fe3N has been synthesized via a simple precursor ammoniation treatment. Electrochemical measure shows that the electrode exhibits a specific capacitance of 270 F · g -1 at a current density of 0.5A · g -1 in 6M KOH, 66% of the initial value remains at a specific current density of 5A · g -1. Capacitance retention after 5000 cycles is about 61.5% of the initial capacitance. The electrochemical performance is relatively great in comparison with the literature reports of some Fe-based compounds. Because of the low cost and simple preparation method of Fe3N, the material is promising in electrochemical capacitive energy storage applications.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this paper, we demonstrate that use of different nanoimprint resins as a polymer pattern has a significant effect on the morphology of silver (Ag) nanowires deposited via an E-beam evaporator. RM-311 and Ormo-stamp resins are chosen as a polymer pattern to form a line with dimensions of width (100nm)×space (100nm)×height (120nm) by using nanoimprint lithography (NIL). Their contact angles are then measured to evaluate their surface energies. In order to compare the properties of the Ag nanowires deposited on the various polymer patterns with different surface energies, hydrophobic surface treatment of the polymer pattern surface is implemented using self-assembled monolayers. In addition, gold and aluminum nanowires are fabricated for comparison with the Ag nanowires, with the differences in the nanowire morphologies being determined by the different atomic properties. The monocrystalline and polycrystalline structures of the various Ag nanowire formations are observed using transmission electron microscopy. In addition, the melting temperatures and optical properties of four kinds of Ag nanowire morphologies deposited on various polymer patterns are evaluated using a hot plate and an ultraviolet-visible (UV–vis) spectrometer, respectively. The results indicate that the morphology of the Ag nanowire determines the melting temperature and the transmission. We believe that these findings will greatly aid the development of NIL, along with physical evaporation and chemical deposition techniques, and will be widely employed in optics, biology, and surface wettability applications.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Ag nanowires with various morphologies deposited on polymer patterns with different surface energies were fabricated via nanoimprint and e-beam evaporation. </LI> <LI> The formation mechanism behind the different morphologies of the Ag nanowires deposited on the polymer patterns with different surface energies was explained and confirmed. </LI> <LI> The morphologies of Ag nanowires have an important effect on their transmission and melting temperature. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Genetic diversity and origin of Dendrothrips minowai (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) in Guizhou, China
Zhao-yun Lyu,Jun-rui Zhi,Yu-feng Zhou,Ze-hong Meng,Wen-bo Yue 한국응용곤충학회 2016 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.19 No.4
In this study, we explored the population genetics of Dendrothrips minowai Priesner, one of themost destructive horticultural pests, in Guizhou Province of China. We have analyzed the data of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene sequences of D. minowai from 27 populations sampled over two years in Guizhou. The results confirmed that the thrips retained moderate levels of genetic diversity (including number of haplotypes, haplotype diversity and nucleotide diversity). Three population groups could be identified according to spatial analysis of molecular variance (SAMOVA). A similar tendency was found according to phylogenetic trees. The AMOVA revealed that N52% and 38% of variationwas attributed to groups and individualswithin populations, respectively. Gene flow among populations, estimated using the coalescent method, was relatively high (M = 196.8–825.4). Star-like networks and the demographic analysis (including neutrality testing and mismatch distribution) indicated that thrips underwent a recent population expansion in Guizhou and began to diverge in the Late Pleistocene. The results provided evidence that the eastern region of Guizhou was the source area for the species.

Background and Objectives: Ischemic post-conditioning (PostC) has been demonstrated as a novel strategy to harness nature’s protection against myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R). Hypercholesterolemia (HC) has been reported to block the effect of PostC on the heart. Angiotensin II type-1 (AT1) modulators have shown benefits in myocardial ischemia. The present study investigates the effect of a novel inhibitor of AT1, azilsartan in PostC of the heart of normocholesterolemic (NC) and HC rats. Materials and Methods: HC was induced by the administration of high-fat diet to the animals for eight weeks. Isolated Langendorff’s perfused NC and HC rat hearts were exposed to global ischemia for 30 min and reperfusion for 120 min. I/R-injury had been assessed by cardiac hemodynamic parameters, myocardial infarct size, release of tumor necrosis factor-alpha troponin I, lactate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase, nitrite in coronary effluent, thiobarbituric acid reactive species, a reduced form of glutathione, superoxide anion, and left ventricle collagen content in normal and HC rat hearts. Results: Azilsartan post-treatment and six episodes of PostC (10 sec each) afforded cardioprotection against I/R-injury in normal rat hearts. PostC protection against I/R-injury was abolished in HC rat hearts. Azilsartan prevented the HC-mediated impairment of the beneficial effects of PostC in I/R-induced myocardial injury, which was inhibited by L-N5-(1-Iminoethyl)ornithinehydrochloride, a potent inhibitor of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS). Conclusion: Azilsartan treatment has attenuated the HC-induced impairment of beneficial effects of PostC in I/R-injury of rat hearts, by specifically modulating eNOS. Azilsartan may be explored further in I/R-myocardial injury, both in NC and HC conditions, with or without PostC.

Objectives: To assess knowledge of HPV and attitudes towards HPV vaccination among the general female population, government officials, and healthcare providers in China to assist the development of an effective national HPV vaccination program. Methods: A cross-sectional epidemiologic survey was conducted across 21 urban and rural sites in China using a short questionnaire. 763 government officials, 760 healthcare providers, and 11,681 women aged 15-59 years were included in the final analysis. Data were analyzed using standard descriptive statistics and logistic regression. Results: Knowledge of HPV among the general female population was low; only 24% had heard of HPV. Less than 20% of healthcare providers recognized sexually na$\ddot{i}$ve women as the most appropriate population for HPV vaccination. There was high acceptance of the HPV vaccine for all categories of respondents. Only 6% of women were willing to pay more than US $300 for the vaccine. Conclusions: Aggressive education is necessary to increase knowledge of HPV and its vaccine. Further proof of vaccine safety and efficacy and government subsidies combined with increased awareness could facilitate development and implementation of HPV vaccination in China.
Dynamic behavior analysis of push-the-bit rotary steerable bottom hole assembly
Zhi-chuan Guan,Heng Wang,Yu-cai Shi,Wei-qing Chen,Guo-shan Zhao,Jian-yun Wang,Guang-qiang Cao 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.4
Rotary steerable drilling technology is currently an advanced technology in the field of drilling engineering. A good understanding of dynamic behavior of rotary steerable system will benefit the drilling progress. Aimed at push-the-bit type of rotary steerable tool, finite element method was employed to model the rotary steerable bottom hole assembly (RSBHA) and establish the motion equation. Contact interaction between drill string and wellbore wall was analyzed and taken as the constraint condition in solving RSBHA motion equation. Force applied by steering pads was as the external force acting at the pads node. Then RSBHA motion state and bit lateral force were obtained by using Newmark method to solve the motion equation. A case was given and effects of influencing factors were analyzed. The results show that stick-slip phenomenon occurs under 60 r/min rotary speed condition and disappears when rotary speed rises to 90 r/min. Fully developed backward whirl comes into being at the near-bit stabilizer when rotary speed increases to 120 r/min. High weight on bit intensifies bit torsional vibration while larger pads’ steering force decreases the bit torsional vibration. Upper stabilizer plays a part in weakening RSBHA backward whirl under high rotary speed condition but reduces the inclination force. Time average of bit lateral force is mainly determined by pads’ steering force. Based on the results, corresponding suggestions were proposed to make the RSBHA be better used in the field applications.
Amelioration of radiation-induced liver damage by p-coumaric acid in mice
Yun-Hong Li,Jiang-Xue Wu,Qian He,Jia Gu,Lin Zhang,Hao-Zhi Niu,Xin-Wen Zhang,Han-Ting Zhao,Jia-Ying Xu,Li-qiang Qin 한국식품과학회 2022 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.31 No.10
Radiation-induced liver damage (RILD) is a spiny problem in radiotherapy or other circumstances that exposure to radiation. The need for radioprotective agent is increasing to protect liver tissue. This study aimed to explore the hepatoprotective effect of p-coumaric acid (CA) against RILD. C57BL/6 male mice were exposed to 4 Gy irradiation and administrated with CA for 4 days starting on the same day of irradiation. Mice were sacrificed to obtain blood and liver tissues on day 3.5 or 14 post irradiation, respectively. The blood and liver tissues were collected. As compared with the only irradiated group, CA supplementation improved liver morphology, decreased serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, inhibited BCL2-associated X (BAX) protein expression, and improved the mice hematopoietic function. CA at the dose of 100 mg/kg body weight showed better effect compared to the other doses. Thus, CA might possess potential to protect against RILD.
