Lung Cancer Classification using Fuzzy Interactive Naïve Bayesian Network
Zhenxing Zhang,Letao Qu,Joon S.Lim 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Bio-Science and Bio-Techn Vol.7 No.4
Lung cancer is the most serious disease in the world and millions of people die of it every year. Because of the limitations of current treatment processes, it is difficult to cure lung cancer if the patient is no longer in the early stages. Therefore, it is necessary to diagnose lung cancer as early as possible, thereby increasing the chances to cure it. The Fuzzy Interactive Naïve Bayesian (FINB) network is a new Bayes network that can be used to classify lung cancer by using microarray data sets. The FINB network is an interactive network and every attribution has an interactive parent and with a weight on the relationship that shows the interaction of the attribution in the data set. In our experiments, we use the gene expression profiles from the Affymetrix Human Genome U133 Plus 2.0 microarray. We use the Neural Network with a Weighted Fuzzy Membership Function (NEWFM) to train the data set and reconstruct the Fuzzy Interactive Naïve Bayesian network. Then we compare the results with Tree augment naïve Bayesian (TAN) network. We conclude that the FINB network performs better than the TAN network.

A new type of rail vibration damping device (NTRVDV), which is arranged between the bottom of the rail and track bed, is proposed in this paper. The finite element model of the rail system with the NTRVDV and tuned rail damper (TRD) was established, respectively. The impact load was applied to the finite element model, and comparison of the set of existing TRD and NTRVDV on the dynamic response of rail and rail vibration decay rate. The effect of the stiffness change of the elastic layer of the NTRVDV on the rail vibration was studied, and a hammering test verified the theoretical research results. The research results show that compared with the traditional TRD, the NTRVDV has a more obvious suppression effect on rail vibration acceleration. The rail vibration decay rate is significantly improved, especially in the low-frequency stage. With the increase of the stiffness of the elastic layer of the vibration suppression device, the vibration suppression effect of the NTRVDV on the rail is improved. The change of the elastic layer stiffness significantly impacts the rail’s vibration suppression effect in the range of 0-7 kN/mm.
Constructive Steganography by Tangles
( Zhenxing Qian ),( Lin Pan ),( Nannan Huang ),( Xinpeng Zhang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.8
This paper proposes a novel steganography method to hide secret data during the generation of tangle patterns. Different from the traditional steganography based on modifying natural images, we propose to construct stego images according to the secret messages. We first create a model to group a selected image contour, and define some basic operations to generate various pattern cells. During data hiding, we create a cell library to establish the relationships between cells and secret data. By painting the cell inside the image contour, we create a dense tangle pattern to carry secret data. With the proposed method, a recipient can extract the secret data correctly. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a flexible embedding capacity. The constructed stego tangle image has good visual effects, and is secure against adversaries. Meanwhile, the stego tangle pattern is also robust to JPEG compression.
Balance for relative homology with respect to semidualizing modules
Zhenxing Di,Xiaoxiang Zhang,Jianlong Chen 대한수학회 2015 대한수학회보 Vol.52 No.1
We derive in the paper the tensor product functor $-\otimes_R-$ by using proper $\mathcal {G}\mathcal {P}_C$-resolutions, where $C$ is a semidualizing module. After giving several cases in which different relative homologies agree, we use the Pontryagin duals of $\mathcal {G}_C$-projective modules to establish a balance result for such relative homology over a Cohen-Macaulay ring with a dualizing module $D$.

One-dimensional flexible Metallic nanowires (NWs) are of considerable interest for next-generation wearable devices. The unavoidable challenge for a wearable electrode is the assurance of high conductivity, flexibility, and durability with economically feasible materials and simple manufacturing processes. Here, we use a straightforward solvothermal method to prepare a flexible conductive material that contains reduced graphene oxide (RGO) nanosheets bridging oriented copper NWs. The GO-assistance route can successfully meet the criteria listed above and help the composite films maintain high conductivity and durable flexibility without any extra treatment, such as annealing or acid processes. The composite film exhibits a high electrical performance (0.808 Omega.sq(-1)) without considerable change over 30 days under ambient conditions. Moreover, the Cu NW-RGO composites can be deposited on polyester cloth as a lightweight wearable electrode with high durability and simple processability and are very promising for a wide variety of electronic devices.

Hierarchical polymer micropillar arrays decorated with ZnO nanowires
Ko, Hyunhyub,Zhang, Zhenxing,Takei, Kuniharu,Javey, Ali IOP Pub 2010 Nanotechnology Vol.21 No.29

We introduce a simple and robust method for fabricating hierarchical fibrillar arrays based on polymer micropillar (μPLR) arrays decorated with ZnO nanowires (NWs) on mechanically flexible substrates. The hierarchical fibrillar arrays are fabricated by replica molding of polymer μPLR arrays on microfabricated silicon templates and subsequent solution-based growth of ZnO NWs. Fine control over the dimensions and aspect ratios of both the microelements and the nanoelements is demonstrated. The hierarchical μPLR/NW arrays show superhydrophobic surface properties, with the contact angle higher than that of planar surfaces and μPLR arrays without nanostructures. The fabrication strategy suggested here may be potentially extended to fabricate other organic/inorganic hierarchical systems for different applications.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the association of telomere length with breast cancer risk. We simultaneously explored the association between telomerase reverse transcriptase gene polymorphisms and telomere length. Methods: We used real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction to measure relative telomere length (RTL) in genomic DNA extracted from peripheral blood from 183 breast cancer cases and 191 healthy controls. Genotyping was performed using the Sequenom MassARRAY platform. Results: Our results show that breast cancer patients had significantly shorter RTLs than control subjects (p< 0.05). When the RTLs were categorized into tertiles, we found that the lowest RTL was significantly associated with increased breast cancer risk compared with the highest RTL (odds ratio [OR], 2.33; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.40–3.90; p=0.001). Subgroup analyses indicated that risk of breast cancer was also significantly increased in the lowest RTL compared with the highest RTL in age >40 years (OR, 2.41; 95% CI, 1.31–4.43; p=0.005), body mass index ≤24 kg/m2 (OR, 2.81; 95% CI, 1.55–5.10; p=0.001), and postmenopausal women (OR, 3.94; 95% CI, 1.63–9.51; p=0.002), respectively. In addition, individuals with the AA genotype of rs2853677 have longer telomeres than those of breast cancer patients with the AG genotype (p= 0.011). Conclusion: Our results suggest that shorter RTL was associated with an increased risk of breast cancer. An association was found between the AA genotype of rs2853677 and longer RTLs in the case group. Functional studies are warranted to validate this association and further investigate our findings.
