An innovative phosphorescence probe based on Mn-doped ZnS quantum dots (Mn:ZnS QDs) was developed for selective detection of chloramphenicol (CAP) via inner-filter effect (IFE). Mn:ZnS QDs were synthesized by water method and modified with L-Cysteine for better stability, and the average diameter of the nanometer particle was 3.8 nm. With the excitation wavelength at 289 nm, the strong phosphorescence of Mn:ZnS QDs can be emitted at 583 nm. The excitation spectrum of Mn:ZnS QDs was substantially overlapped with the absorption spectrum of the target CAP. The excited light of Mn:ZnS QDs can be absorbed partially by CAP when they coexist, the phosphorescence intensity decreased with the increasing concentration of CAP, and it has a good linear relationship. Under optimal conditions, the linear relational concentration range achieved four orders of magnitude from 25 to 1.2 x 10 5 ng · mL -1 (R2 = 0.999), with a detection limit (LOD; S/N = 3) down to 0.81 ng · mL -1. The simple, rapid and low cost IFE phosphorescent probe exhibited satisfactory recoveries ranging from 88.9% to 98.5% for CAP analysis in spiked honey, which shows a potential for routine screening of CAP in ensuring the food safety.

新加坡華文敎學中的中華文化內容初探 -- 建構《中華文化敎學大綱》的若干思考

Learners involved in the teaching of Chinese in Singapore fall into two groups in terms of their linguistic and cultural backgrounds: students from Chinese-speaking families and students from English-speaking families. With respect to the former group of learners, Chinese teaching should introduce semantic culture rather than structural culture and pragmatic culture. On the other hand, Chinese is a second language for learners from the latter group. It is, therefore, necessary to list out the cultural content needed by these students on the basis of their background knowledge of Chinese culture and the relevant findings in China’s research on teaching Chinese as a second language. The incorporation of cultural content into the teaching of Chinese for both groups of leaner has the following objectives: 1) to increase identity recognition of Chinese Singaporeans, 2) to enhance the racial unity in Singapore, 3) to establish positive attitude to life and 4) to develop benevolence and good taste.

This article is the semantic analysis of the view of quantitativeness of language. It mainly focuses type character of concepts which in all is Conceptual Quantitativeness(Semantic Structure).In other words, it means that meanings of expression mainly come from the concept and changes of it. Here, “concept structure” is not the style, distribution of concept (different from “language structure”), but mean -the semantic structure is conceptual, motivational of thinking. “Concept structure” can be the category or unit of semantic analysis of language, it is to measure language righteousness of substantia l:The language meaning is various notion structure. Vehicle platooning can significantly increase throughput of transportation, while the impairment of communication may affect the control performance of vehicle platooning. Communication delays are inevitable in the process of driving, which will cause the instability of the platoon. Moreover, the transmission power level between vehicles is finite, resulting in a limited communication range. A nonlinear control algorithm is proposed where the car-following interactions between vehicles are considered. First, a third-order heterogeneous dynamic model is established for vehicles in the platoon. The control gains and parameters are heterogeneous. Then considering the constant time headway spacing policy and the gap supplement, conditions of the control gains for maintaining the internal stability of the platoon are obtained. Second, with time-varying communication delays taken into account, the allowed upper bound of communication delays is derived. Third, given the ability of each vehicle to receive information from multiple predecessors and followers, conditions of string stability are obtained, where the communication range is limited. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

A new fluorescent probe L fusing the rhodamine B scaffold with 2H-benzo[b][1,4]oxazin-3(4H)-one moiety has been developed and applied as an acidic pH sensor. The ultraviolet (UV) and fluorescence spectra of the probe at different pH values were investigated in B?R buffer/MeOH (v: v = 3: 7). This probe showed increase of both the UV?Vis absorption and fluorescence emission from alkaline/neutral to acidic condition, reaching a strongest intensity at pH 2.13, but the intensities decreased when the pH decreased to 1.83. The color variation along the pH changes proved that the probe L can be used as a low-cost optical sensor for the naked eye detection of proton in the present buffer.
Micro-rolling Forming of Light Extraction Structure on Substrate for LED Chip-on-Board Package

The light extraction structure (LES) on substrate for chip-on-board (COB) packaging light-emitting diodes is an effective means to address the intrinsic problem—the total internal reflection occurred within a COB packaging device. This work develops a new manufacturing method—micro-rolling forming to machine inverted pyramid LESs with high efficiency and low cost. In this method, a roller with closely arrayed micro pyramid teeth is designed and rolled on a copper substrate. A finite element model is established to analyze the forming process of the inverted pyramids and the forming process can be divided into four stages: elastic stage, yielding stage, hardening stage, full plastic deformation stage. The stress and strain mainly concentrate on the contact zone with the micro tooth abdomen. In this contact zone, the stress plateaus in the full plastic deformation stage are high and long, which drives the inverted pyramid formation. The side length of the inverted pyramid increases, while the cone angle decreases with the rolling depth increasing. Whereas the side length and cone angle vary slightly with the rolling speed increasing. The better rolling depth and speed for LES forming are 0.3–0.4 mm and 10–20 mm/s, respectively.
