Preparation and Characterization of Hyperbranched Poly(ether ether ketone)s Suitable as Rheology Control Agents for Linear Poly(ether ether ketone)s

        Zhenhua Jiang,Xiujie Li,Shuling Zhang,Fugui Zhou,Jinhui Pang,Chunfeng Zhang,Dong Sun,Jianxin Mu,Guibin Wang 한국고분자학회 2011 Macromolecular Research Vol.19 No.5

Hyperbranched poly(ether ether ketone)s (HPEEKs) that were suitable as rheology control agents for linear poly(ether ether ketone)s (LPEEKs) were first prepared via commercially available hydroquinone (A2 monomer,HQ) and synthesized 3,4',5-trifluoro-benzophenone (BB'2 monomer, TF) effortlessly. The polymerization mode of A2 + BB'2 was demonstrated by MS. Moreover, FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and 19F NMR spectroscopy revealed the structure and degree of branching (DB) of the resulting polymers. In comparison with A2 + B3 approach, HPEEK prepared using an A2 + BB'2 strategy possessed a higher molecular weight, and improved the melt processability of LPEEK. Remarkably, with the addition of HPEEK, the mechanical properties of LPEEK increased with a HPEEK content of 5%. The improved mechanical properties were attributed to the good miscibility. Moreover, the addition of HPEEK did not decrease the thermal stability of LPEEK.

Taoism in Ming dynasty prose is not only an organic part of the ancient Chinese prose creation, also is the important style of ancient Chinese Taoist literature form. With the development of Taoism in the Ming dynasty, many accomplished Taoist scholars, Taoist leaders created a great number of works of prose to Taoism, elicits emotions. The most important representatives of writers have Zhang Yuchu, zhang Sanfeng, Liu Xixing and WuShouYang, rough statistics, their prose works a total of 266 articles of various kinds of postures. These articles on the tendency of Confucianism is the general trend of color is very strong, is shown as: as the era of rule of virtue of Confucian ideal, the many meanings of the concept of Confucianism adequately profound interpretation, advocated Confucianism confluence, with min and Taoism, Confucianism to broad Confucianism with Taoism, the integrity of the Confucian principles of cultivate one`s morality into the practise of Taoism, gas, refined religious practice activity of god.Form the Confucianism Taoism in Ming dynasty prose tendency the reason mainly has four aspects. First, the national consciousness of the early Ming dynasty established, in which the dominant Confucianism, determines the other ideology also includes Taoist religious consciousness must be subject to the mainstream of the national consciousness. Second, the supreme ruler of Ming dynasty Taoist attitude determines the survival situation of Taoism of good or bad, also determines the Ming dynasty prose for the dominant Confucianism Taoism believed in level of high and low. Third, the early Ming dynasty Taoist writers accepted Confucianism culture education. Fourth, in general guidance on tang works of Ming dynasty Taoism is made, pointing to the banner of tang and the song is based on the Confucian orthodoxy purport, therefore, affected by, Confucianism Taoism prose.

Formation Mechanism Analysis and Detection of Charged Particles in an Aero-engine Gas Path

Zhenhua Wen,Junxing Hou,ZhiQiang Jiang 한국항공우주학회 2015 International Journal of Aeronautical and Space Sc Vol.16 No.2

The components of an aero-engine gas path cannot be monitored in a timely way due to a lack of real-time monitoring technologies. As an attempt to address this problem, we have conducted research on a condition monitoring technology based on the charging characteristics of particles in an aero-engine gas path, and emphatically analyze the formation of particles in an aero-engine gas path, the charging mechanism of carbon particles and the factors that influence the charge quantity and polarity. The verification experiments are performed on the simulated experiment platform and a turbo-shaft engine test bench. The results show the carbon particles’ carry charge, and an obvious change in the total electrostatic charge level in the aero-engine gas path due to the increased carbon particles produced by burning or abnormal metal particles; the charge number is related to the size of particles, and the bigger carbon particles carry a negative charge and metal particles carry a positive charge; the change in engine power can lead to an obvious change in the level of electrostatic charge in the gas path, and the change in electrostatic charge results from the extra carbon particles formed in the rich-oil burning process. The research provides a reference for establishing the baseline of electrostatic charge while the engine runs on different power. The study also demonstrates the validity of the electrostatic monitoring technology and establishes a base for developing the application of electrostatic monitoring technology in aero-engines.

An Accurate Method to Estimate Traffic Matrices from Link Loads for QoS Provision

Wang, Xingwei,Jiang, Dingde,Xu, Zhengzheng,Chen, Zhenhua The Korea Institute of Information and Commucation 2010 Journal of communications and networks Vol.12 No.6

Effective traffic matrix estimation is the basis of efficient traffic engineering, and therefore, quality of service provision support in IP networks. In this study, traffic matrix estimation is investigated in IP networks and an Elman neural network-based traffic matrix inference (ENNTMI) method is proposed. In ENNTMI, the conventional Elman neural network is modified to capture the spatio-temporal correlations and the time-varying property, and certain side information is introduced to help estimate traffic matrix in a network accurately. The regular parameter is further introduced into the optimal equation. Thus, the highly ill-posed nature of traffic matrix estimation is overcome effectively and efficiently.

Experimental research and molecular dynamics simulation on thermal properties of capric acid/ethylene-vinyl/graphene composite phase change materials

        Yue Gu,Linhua Jiang,Weizhun Jin,Zhenhua Wei,Xing Liu,Mingzhi Guo,Kailun Xia,Lei Chen 한국공업화학회 2021 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.99 No.-

In this paper, a new series of phase change materials (PCMs) composed of capric acid/ethylene-vinylacetate/graphene (CA/EVA/GR) were prepared and thermal properties were investigated using moleculardynamics simulation. The composite PCMs were characterized by Fourier transform infraredspectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanningcalorimetry (DSC) and thermal conductivity measurement. FT-IR, XRD and SEM results manifest that CAcan be successfully wrapped by EVA and GR additives, and there is no chemical reaction between CA, EVAand GR. DSC results indicate that adding GR into CA/EVA can result in composite PCMs maintain the highlatent heat, while too much GR will cause a significant reduction in latent heat. Thermal conductivityobtained from experimental tests reveal that GR can gradually enhance the thermal conductivity of CA/EVA with increasing dosage of GR. The experimental results of thermal conductivity fall close to that ofmolecular dynamics (MD) simulation at GR dosages below 1.8 wt%, but the experimental results present atrend which is contrary to MD simulation at higher GR dosages. The mean square displacement (MSD)results manifest that composite PCMs containing 1.8 wt% GR has the highest diffusion coefficient, whilehigher GR dosage will reduce the diffusion coefficient gradually.

Study on Spinnability of PP/PU Blends and Preparation of PP/PU Bi-component Melt Blown Nonwovens

        Yanfen Zhou,Liang Jiang,Huiying Jia,Xiaolu Xing,Zhenhua Sun,Shaojuan Chen,Jianwei Ma,Stephen Jerrams 한국섬유공학회 2019 Fibers and polymers Vol.20 No.6

Melt blown polymer blends offers a good way to combine two polymers in the same fiber generating nonwovenswith new and novel properties. In this study, polypropylene (PP) and polyurethane (PU) were blended to prepare PP/PU bicomponentmelt blown nonwovens. The spinnability of PP/PU composites was investigated and PP/PU bi-componentnonwovens with compositions of 95/5, 90/10, 80/20 and 70/30 were prepared by using the melt blowing technique. The meltblown fibers exhibited a ‘sea-island’ structure with PP as the continuous phase and PU as the dispersed phase. When thecontent of PU in the blend was above 40 %, PP/PU melt blown nonwovens could not be produced due to fiber breaking. ForPP/PU (90/10) nonwovens, it was found that the average fiber diameter decreased with increasing die to collector (DCD) andelevated hot air pressure.

Fabrication of Unique and Green Tin(IV) Sulfide/Moss Photocatalyst for Highly Effective Photocatalytic Reduction of Cr(VI)

        Xia Zhang,Yumin Wang,Chao Hou,Xiaohui Lin,Hongli Jiang,Zhenhua Wei 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2018 NANO Vol.13 No.3

We report a simple and green method for fabricating SnS2 modified moss composites for removal of heavy metal (Cr(VI)) considering the fact that the issue of wastewater caused by the discharge of heavy metal is becoming increasingly serious. More importantly, this kind of functional materials that are capable of removing effectively Cr(VI) from wastewater for water purification is quite few on the market. Hence, in the paper, such SnS2 decorated moss photocatalysts for removal of heavy metal (Cr(VI)) were designed and prepared via a simple and green method: chemical bath reaction. The as-designed materials (C@SnS2) integrate the independent properties of moss (with excellent performance in absorption of heavy metal) and SnS2 (with good photocatalytic reduction of Cr(VI) under visible light irradiation), showing a faster photocatalytic rate than those independent components. The experiment results indicate that more than 98.5% of Cr(VI) was reduced under visible light irradiation for 70 min, while only 18.2% and 84.4% of Cr(VI) were removed in the presence of C-moss and pure SnS2 at the same condition, respectively. Furthermore, the as-designed C@SnS2 has good recyclability in the removal of Cr(VI). We believe such simple and green method to prepare photocatalyst for wastewater treatment with excellent performance will provide a good platform to design new photocatalytic materials for water purification.

Synthesis of Sulfonated Fluorenyl-Containing Poly(ether ether ketone ketone)s and Their Blends with an Amino-Functionalized Poly(ether ether ketone) for Fuel Cell Applications

        Long Li,Baijun Liu,Siyuan Liu,Zhuang Liu,Yunwu Yu,Liwei Jing,Zhenhua Jiang 한국고분자학회 2013 Macromolecular Research Vol.21 No.7

A new family of sulfonated fluorenyl-containing poly(ether ether ketone ketone)s (SFPEEKKs) were successfully synthesized through a mild postsulfonation in concentrated sulfuric acid at room temperature. Further, a series of “molecule-enhanced” blend membranes were prepared based on SFPEEKKs and an amino-functionalized poly(ether ether ketone) by the solution casting method. These blend membranes generally showed higher thermal stability, lower swelling ratio and methanol permeability and superior mechanical properties in comparison with pristine SFPEEKK membranes. The results showed that some blend membranes may be promising proton exchange membranes for fuel cell applications.
