        The Influence of a Second Metal on the Ni/SiC Catalyst for the Methanation of Syngas

        The catalytic performance of silicon carbide supported nickel catalysts modified with or without secondmetal (Co, Cu and Zn) for the methanation of CO has been investigated in a fixed-bed reactor using a feed consisting of25% CO and 75% H2 without any diluent gas. It has been found that the introduction of Co species can clearly improvethe catalytic activity of Ni/SiC catalyst, whereas the addition of Cu or Zn can result in a significant decrease in the catalyticactivity. The characterizations by means of XRD, TEM, XPS, CO-TPD and H2-TPR indicate that the addition ofCo could decrease the particle size of active metal, increase active sites on the surface of methanation catalyst, improvethe chemisorption of CO and enhance the reducibility of methanation catalysts. Additionally, the special interaction betweenCo species and Ni species is likely favorable for the dissociation of adsorbed CO on the surface of catalyst, and this mayalso contribute to the high activity of 5Co-Ni/SiC catalyst for CO methanation reaction. For 5Cu-Ni/SiC catalyst and 5Zn-Ni/SiC catalyst, Cu and Zn species could cover partial nickel particles and decrease the chemisorption amount of CO. These could be responsible for the low methanation activity. In addition, a 150h stability test under 2 MPa and 300 oCshowed that 5Co-Ni/SiC catalyst was very stable for CO methanation reaction.

        韓國醫療旅游競爭力因素對實際消費行爲和顧客忠誠度的影響

        本硏究首先考察了醫療旅游的競爭因素,然后分析了醫療旅游競爭力因素對實際購買行爲的影響,以及實際購買行爲對顧客忠誠的影響. 與此同時, 檢測了滿意度是否在醫療旅游的競爭因素影響實際購買行爲這個過程中存在調節效應,驗證了實際購買行爲在醫療旅游競爭因素與顧客忠誠之間的中介作用. 在這項硏究中,選定的醫療旅游競爭力因素爲醫療技術,价格和地理因素。本硏究的調査對象僅限于在韓國有醫療旅游經驗的中國人. 本硏究共發放230分問卷,剔除其中无效問卷22分后,最終有208個有效問卷數据用于分析. 數据分析得到四個結論,首先當不考慮滿意度的影響時醫療旅游競爭力因素中只有地理因素對實際消費行爲有積極(+)影響. 其次醫療旅游者的實際消費行爲對顧客忠誠度也有積極(+)影響. 然后滿意度的調節影響只在醫療技術水平與實際購買行爲之間存在,幷且滿意度越高調節作用越大,最后實際消費行爲在地理因素和顧客忠誠度之間發揮了中介效應. This study first examines the competitive factors of medical tourism, analyzes the influence of medical tourism competitiveness factors on actual purchasing behavior, and analyzes the effect of actual purchasing behavior on customer loyalty. In addition, we investigate whether there is a mediating effect between competitive factors and actual purchasing behavior according to medical tourism type and satisfaction, and mediating effects between medical tourism competitive factors and customer loyalty. In this study, medical tourism competitiveness factors were selected as medical technology, price, and geographical factors. The subjects of this study were limited to Chinese who had medical tourism experience in Korea. A total of 230 questionnaires were collected and 208 questions were used for the analysis except for the unreliable response data. Only the geographical factors among the factors of medical tourism competitiveness presented in this study have a positive effect on actual consumption behavior. And the actual consumption behaviors of medical tourists have a positive effect on customer loyalty. The higher the satisfaction of medical tourists, the more positive the medical technology level has on the actual consumption behavior. Actual consumption behavior has played a mediating role between geographical factors and customer loyalty.

      • Association between Polymorphisms of Interleukin-17A and Interleukin-17F Genes and Silicosis Susceptibility in Chinese Han People

        Background: To explore the relationship between polymorphisms of interleukin17 (IL-17) gene(A-832G 7488A/G) and the susceptibility to silicosis, a risk factor for lung cancer. Materials and Methods: A total of 113 silicosis patients and 116 workers without silicosis were enrolled in the case-control study. IL-17A A-832G and IL-17F 7488A/G polymorphisms were evaluated by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). Results: The frequencies of AA,GG and AG of IL-17A A-832G locus in the case and control groups were 46.9%, 8.0%, 45.1%, and 49.2%, 7.6%, 43.2%, respectively, with no significant differences (p>0.05).The GG genotype in the IL-17F (7488A/G) locus was not found. The frequencies of AA and GA of IL-17F 7488A/G locus in the case and control groups were 84.1%, 15.9% and 66.4%, 33.6%, respectively (p<0.05). Analysis of combined effects showed that the individuals with GG+AG genotype of IL-17A and GG+GA genotype of IL-17F are protected against silicosis (OR=0.469). Conclusions: IL-17F 7488A/G is associated with susceptibility to silicosis, and G allele may have a protective effect. No relationship was found between IL-17A gene polymorphisms at A-832G and silicosis.

        Synthesis and Characterization of KTiNbO5 Nano-particles by Novel Polymerizable Complex Method

        The layered KTiNbO5 was successfully synthesized with titanium(IV) isopropoxide and niobium oxalate by a novel polymerized complex (PC) method. The morphology and structure of the as-prepared sample was characterized by means of High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope, powder X-ray diffraction, and Laser Raman Spectroscopy. The spectral response characteristic was recorded by using UV-vis Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy. Results show that KTiNbO5 as-prepared by PC method presents an uniform morphology of nano-particles, the mean particle sizes is ca. 28 nm corresponding to the (002), and the crystal structure can be well indexed to the orthorhombic phase. The sample as-prepared by PC method has higher band gap energy than that of the sample prepared by a solid-state reaction method due to the quantum size effect.

      • Schedule-Dependent Effects of Kappa-Selenocarrageenan in Combination with Epirubicin on Hepatocellular Carcinoma

        Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has a relatively higher incidence in many countries of Asia. Globally, HCC has a high fatality rate and short survival. Epirubicin, a doxorubicin analogue, may be administered alone or in combination with other agents to treat primary liver cancer and metastatic diseases. However, the toxic effects of epirubicin to normal tissues and cells have been one of the major obstacles to successful cancer chemotherapy. Here, we investigated the effects of epirubicin in combination with kappa-selenocarrageenan on mice with H22 implanted tumors and HepG-2 cell proliferation, immune organ index, morphology, cell cycle and related protein expressions in vivo and in vitro with sequential drug exposure. The inhibitory rate of tumor growth in vivo was calculated. Drug sensitivity was measured by MTT assay, and the King's principle was used to evaluate the interaction of drug combination. Morphological changes were observed by fluorescent microscopy. Cell cycle changes were analyzed by flow cytometry. Expression of cyclin A, Cdc25A and Cdk2 were detected by Western blotting. In vivo results demonstrated that the inhibitory rate of EPI combined with KSC was higher than that of KSC or EPI alone, and the Q value indicated an additive effect. In addition, KSC could significantly raise the thymus and spleen indices of mice with H22 implanted tumors. In the drug sensitivity assay in vitro, exposure to KSC and EPI simultaneously was more effective than exposure sequentially in HepG-2 cells, while exposure to KSC prior to EPI was more effective than exposure to EPI prior to KSC. Q values showed an additive effect in the simultaneous group and antagonistic effects in the sequential groups. Morphological analysis showed similar results to the drug sensitivity assay. Cell cycle analysis revealed that exposure to KSC or EPI alone arrested the cells in S phase in HepG-2 cells, exposure to KSC and EPI simultaneously caused accumulation in the S phase, an effect caused by either KSC or EPI. Expression of cyclin A, Cdc25A and Cdk2 protein was down-regulated following exposure to KSC and EPI alone or in combination, exposure to KSC and EPI simultaneously resulting in the lowest values. Taken together, our findings suggest that KSC in combination with EPI might have potential as a new therapeutic regimen against HCC.
