A new method for reducing the common-mode current generated by the voltage variations in a two-inverter air conditioner system by applying a synchronized pulse-width modulation (PWM) strategy is proposed. The PWM signals of the master-mode inverter are generated based on the reference voltage, while those of the slave-mode inverter are output in the opposite direction when the master-mode inverter changes its switching state. However, the slave-mode control results in a mismatch between the reference voltage and the actual output voltage that is modified by synchronized control operation. The proposed method is capable of reducing and controlling this voltage error by performing signal selection in the vector space of the slave-mode inverter, which mitigates the distortion of the phase current. The efficacy of this method in reducing conducted emissions has been validated both theoretically and experimentally.

Evaluation of Safety through Acute and Subacute Tests of Galacto-Oligosaccharide (GOS)

Acute and subacute toxicity tests were undertaken on a novel galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS) produced from lactose by β-galactosidase derived from Bacillus circulans. Toxicity was evaluated by single dose oral administration (5,000 mg/kg) and was repeated at day 28 (1,000 mg/kg) in male and female Sprague-Dawley rats. In acute toxicity tests, the protein levels of male rats administered GOS showed a significant difference from controls, but remained within the normal range. There were no GOS-related changes in clinical symptoms, weight, food intake, hematology, blood chemistry, relative organ weight, or severe pathology in rats treated with GOS compared with controls. The no observed adverse effect level of GOS was at least 1,000 mg/kg/d in both male and female rats. Bovine-specific genes were not detected in GOS 70%-based products (NeoGOS-P70, NeoGOS-L70, and organic GOS), indirectly showing the absence of an allergen and that products containing GOS 70% are non-toxic and allergen-free.

발사체나 유도탄의 자세제어를 위한 추력기 중 DCS용 추력발생장치 개발에 대하여 소개한다. 고체 추진제를 원료로 하는 DCS용 추력발생장치는 2축 제어를 기반으로 설계 되었으며 열구조해석 유동해석을 통해 상세설계를 진행하였다. 상세설계를 바탕으로 제작된 추력발생장치는 연소시험을 통해 성능을 입증한다. The development of the DCS thrust unit during the attitude control thruster of the launch vehicle and guided missile is introduced. The DCS thrust unit using solid propellants based on a two-axis control is designed and through the thermo-structural and flow analysis is designed in detail. The performance of the thrust unit based on the detail design is demonstrated through a combustion test.

Among the representative types of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequences, inversion recovery (IR) can improve the ability to detect brain lesions. The purpose of this study was to confirm the MRI characteristics according to TI changes in IR sequences. In this study, the MRiLab simulation program a newly developed, well-validated program was used to quantitatively analyze image characteristics with respect to the TI value in the IR sequence. Brain tissue phantom and standard phantom images were acquired by changing the TI at 100-ms intervals from 100 to 2,500 ms. In brain tissue phantom images, signal intensity (SI) values showed the lowest signals at TI values of 400, 700, and 2,500 ms in the white matter (WM), gray matter (GM), and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), respectively. The contrast evaluated in CSF-WM was superior at 400 ms and the lowest at 1,800 ms. In addition, the contrast evaluated in WM-GM was superior at 400 ms and the lowest at 1,500 ms. In the case of the brain standard phantom, the SI and contrast showed the same tendency as brain tissue phantom. In conclusion, an appropriate TI value was derived for obtaining images with excellent SI and contrast between brain tissues using a newly developed simulation program.
Growth and Temperature Dependence of The Photocurrent Spectra for HgCdTe Epilatyers

Hg$_{1-x}$Cd$_x$Te (MCT) was grown by hot wall epitaxy. Prior to the MCT growth, the CdTe (111) buffer layer was grown on the GaAs substrate at the temperature of 590 $^\circ$C for 15 min. When the thickness of the CdTe buffer layer was 5 $\mu$m or thicker, the full width at half maximum values obtained from the x-ray rocking curves were found to significantly decrease. After a good quality CdTe buffer layer was grown, the MCT epilayers were grown on the CdTe (111) /GaAs substrate at various temperatures in situ. The crystal quality for those epilayers was investigated by means of the x-ray rocking curves and the photocurrent experiment. The photoconductor characterization for the epilayers was also measured. The energy band gap of MCT was determined from the photocurrent measurement and the x composition rates from the temperature dependence of the energy band gap were turned out.

In this study, it was achieved vehicle test for pneumatic system and characteristic test for air spring to construct development environment based on HILS for Active Air Suspension System. SILS environment was developed through emulation and modeling of air spring for pressure & height sensors on the basis of test result. Purpose of this study is utilized virtual environment and vehicles model to develop a controller in laboratory, escaping in existing development environment that use real vehicle test. We will propose development environment of Active Electric Control Air Suspension System applying HILS system for improving the traditional method at a great expense. Also, we studied estimation technology for control algorithm development and verification.
