Present removal work for road signs has been required many workers and times because it has been worked by a manually controlled shaving equipment. While these manual works are progressing, there are unwillingly traffic jam by passing control, and unexpected accidents to all workers exposed dangerous road circumstance. Besides, in current shaving method, there are high potentialities on air pollution as well as explosive accidents occurred by using propane gas. However there have been little efforts to improve technical impediments and to develop a new method or equipment related to the road sign erasing works in domestic construction industry. The purpose of this study is to investigate the road sign erasing work processes of the existing in detail and to analyze the required performance criteria for the automated equipment development.

A COB(chip-on-board) LED(light emitting diode) system has advantages such as low cost and good heat dissipation. LED chips are bonded on PCB(printed circuit board) directly without packaging process in case of COB LED systems. Dome lenses made of polymeric resin are generally covered on the bonded LED chips by air dispensing for preventing mechanical damage and making white light. However, it is hard to control the shape of dome lenses precisely due to viscosity of the polymeric resin. We analyzed the relationship of the shape of dome lenses and experimental conditions of the air dispensing in this study. We introduced a new parameter, air pressure * dispensing time, whose physical meaning is impulse per unit area, and obtained much clear relationship of dispensing parameters and shape parameters of the dome lens. This relationship was similar to viscoelastic behavior. The aspect ratio (height over diameter) was increased as the new parameter increased, and was converged to a certain value. The maximum aspect ratio could be calculated by Young's equation of contact angle.

Recently, piezoelectric actuator has been applied in the various fields of industry such as life science, automotive, IT and telecom. The PZT actuator is used by the reverse piezoelectric effect, which generated a mechanical displacement in the electric field. Because the displacement of this actuator is 1/1000 times of PZT element thickness or height with high voltage, this actuator has to combine with a displacement amplified mechanism. In this paper, the PZT actuator has 10 times amplified displacement using hinge-lever magnification mechanism. The free load displacement of multilayer PZT is 56㎛ at input voltage of 100Vdc, and the proposed mechanism has maximum amplified displacement of 684㎛ through the experiment. The frequency response of PZT actuator having hinge-lever mechanism is measured as resonance frequency. As a result, the resonance frequency of PZT actuator is 209.7㎐ in simulation and 204㎐ in experiment.

Screen printing technology has very commonly used in many ways due to the low cost effectiveness to existent FPD(Flat Panel Display) device manufacturing process. It also has very useful application areas, not only paper or textile printing but patterning for PDP, TFT-LCD color filter, RFID antenna, OLED, and so on. In this study, the printing pressure of screen printer was measured and controlled by load cell and pressure control valves for improvement of printing quality. And also, the clamping pressure of screen frame was controlled by proposed an air-hydro regulator for improvement of stable printing and a stronghold fixture of screen frame. The accuracy and repeatability of screen printing were improved by there proposed additional mechanism.
