        Effects of Interleukin-1β, Tumor Necrosis Factor-α and Interferon-γ on the Nitric Oxide Production and Osteoclast Generation in the Culture of Mouse Bone Marrow Cells

        Nitric oxide(NO) is a labile, uncharged, reactive radical that functions as a sensitive mediator of intercellular communication in diverse tissues. It has been reported that NO is produced by osteoblast and these results may suggest that NO is integrally involved in the regulation of osteoclast formation and osteoclast resorption activity by osteoblastic cells. We examined the effect of cytokines on NO release by mouse bone marrow cell. We also examined the effects of cytokokines and sodium nitroprusside(SNP) on the formation of osteoclast-like cell from mouse bone marrow cells in culture. Cytokines stimulated NO production of mouse bone marrow cells, and N-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester, a specific inhibitor of NO synthase, suppressed the cytokine-induced NO production. SNP showed dual action in the generation of osteoclasts. The addition of 30μM SNP inhibited the formation of tartrate resistant acid phosphatase(TRAP)(+) multinucleated cell, whereas lower concentration(3μM) of SNP enhanced it. Althogh the precise action of NO remains to be elucidated in detail, the action of NO in osteoclast generation in our studies seems to be associated, at least in part, with bone matabolism and bone pathophysiology.

        The kinetics and inhibiton of LDH-catalyzed dehydrogenation of lactic acid were studied to evalute Michaelis constant, Km, maximal velocity, V_max, and inhibition constant, Ki by means of spectrophotofluorometer. The assay condition of reaction mixture was as follows : Lineweaver-Burke plot and found to be 3.4×10^4M and 5.75×10^7M/sec respectively. Reaction medium ◁표삽입▷(원문을 참조하세요) The Dixon and Lineweaver-Burke plot were done to study the effect on LDH of oxalic acid as an inhibitor, whose inhibition constant was found to be 1.26×10^-4M.

        In this paper, the transformed QMSA to load a capacitor without limitation of the electric force on QMSA(Quarter-wavelength Microstrip Antenna) is designed. Bandwidth of the designed and manufactured antenna is 22.42% at the resonant frequency of 2.15 GHz and the resonant frequency and bandwidth versus change of any arbitrary feed point is observed. Since the size of wide slot width between the left and right parallel plate to load a capacitor is very wide bandwidth, our antenna will be suitable for very wide bandwidth communication.

      • 十全大補湯이 CD4+ 및 CD8+ T細胞數에 미치는 影響

        In order to research the effect of Sipjundaebotang on the immune respons of CD4+ T cell and CD8+ T cell in rats, author have performed this experimental study. Experimental geoups are divided into 5 groups(intact, control, sampleⅠ, sampleⅡ, sampleⅢ). Normal group was intact, control group was administrated normal saline 2cc for 5 datys, sampleⅠ was administrated low concentration of Sipjundaevotang(100/3100pack/ml)2cc for 5 datys, sampleⅠ was administrated middle concentration of Sipjundaevotang(500/3100pack/ml)2cc for 5 datys, sampleⅡ was administrated middle concentration of Sipjundaevotang(500/3100pack/ml)2cc for 5 datys, sampleⅢ was administrated high concentration of Sipjundaevotang(2500/3100pack/ml)2cc for 5 datys. WBC, Lymphocyte, CD4+ T cell in the blood, spleen, axillary node and CD8+ T cell in the blood, spleen and axillary node were determined. The results was as follows: 1. WBC count in blood was signififcantly decreased in the control, sample Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲgroups as compared with the normal group. 2. Lymphocyte count in the blood was significantly decreased in the control, sample Ⅰ, Ⅱgroups as compaared with the normal group. 3. CD4+ T cell count in the blood was significantly increased dose-dependently in the sampe Ⅰ, Ⅱgroups as compared with the mormal group. 4. CD4+ T cell count in the spleen was significantly increased in the sampleⅠ, Ⅱ, Ⅲgroups as compared with the mormal group. 5. CD4+ T cell count in the axillary node was significantly increased in the sampleⅢgroup as compared with the normal group. however significantly decreased in the sampleⅠ, Ⅱgroups as compared with the mormal group. 6. CD8+ T cell count in the blood was significantly increased in the sampleⅢgroup as compared with the normal group. 7. CD8+ T cell count in the splecn was significantly increased in the sample Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲgroup as compared with the normal group. but there was no differences inthe sample groups. 8. CD8+ T cell count in the axillary node was decreased in the smpleⅠ,Ⅱgroups as compared with the normal group.

        Idiopathic nodular panniculitis is an inflammatory disease of subcutaneous fat tissue which is clinically characterized by recurrent crops of nodular panniculitis. Some cases are accompanied by systemic features such as fever, malaise, abdominal pain and arthritis. We report a case of idiopathic nodular panniculitis in 36 year-old woman, who had erythematous subcutaneous nodules on the extremities, trunk and face accompanied by various general symptoms such as fever, malaise, abdominal pain and weight loss.

      • Piezocone과 Rowe Cell을 利用한 水平壓密係數 推定

        Site characterization is one of the most important performances in projects with regard to solving geotechnical problems. Piezocone penetration test is a fast, economic, and accurate method of site characterization. Static cone penetrometer and the piezocone represents the most versatile tools currently available for soil exploration. The cone penetration and piezocone tests provide continuous sounding capability and repeatability. Rare of consolidation parameter may be assessed form the Piezocone test by measuring the dissipation or decay of pore pressure with time after a stop in penetration. And many researches have been developed to determine the horizontal coefficent of consolidation from the Piezocone test. Many of these researches using a theoretical solutions which is determined from either the cavity expantion theory or the stress path method. However, depending on assumptions and analytical techniques, the results can be varied considerably. For that reason, many researchers make their effort to improve and complement the defect of already established methods. In this dissertation, the correlation between the Coefficient of Consolidation from Piezocone dissipation test and the Coefficient of Consolidation Rowe Cell horizontal consolidation test in many cases was studied. The purpose of this study is to know the changing of the Coefficient of Consolidation by loading condition while Rowe Cell horizontal consolidation test is used

      • 마이크로센서 응용을 위한 실리콘 미세가공 기술

        Silicon micromachining technology can be used to build microsensors and actuators by using tools derived from standard IC processing. For the silicon micromachining the etching characteristics of tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide (TMAH) by dissolving silicon powder or silicic acid have been studied. The 3, 5 and 10wt.% TMAH solutions, with dissolved silicon powder (6g/l) or with dissolved silicic acid(Si(OH)4, 16g/l) were used. And ammonium peroxydisulfate (APODS, 2g/l) dissolved in the solutions were also used. The etch rates of silicon and the etched surface roughness were observed with various etching conditions. The crystallographical aspect on the crystal orientation of silicon have been studied. With sufficiently fresh solutions, these TMAH concentration and combination of etchants, provide repeatable etch properties, does not attack exposed aluminum or silicon dioxode, and provide smooth (100) silicon surfaces.
