        The Korean hemorrhagic fever (KHF) is an acute febrile disease with characteristic of fever, bleeding tendency, and renal failure. There are many complications of Korean hemorrhagic fever such as infection, anemia, internal bleeding, hypopituitarism, respiratory, and neurologic complication. A few cases were reported on acute pancreatitis with hemorrhagic fever abroad, but there was no case about Korean hemorrhagic fever with acute pancreatitis in this country. We experienced a case of Korean hemorrhagic fever associated with suspected acute pancreatits. With review of articles, we report a case of 51 year-old woman with KHF, where acute pancreatitis developed during management, (Korean J Infect Dis 33:376∼379, 2001)

        폐플라스틱/제강 Dust 성형체의 용출안전성에 대한 연구

        In this study, We have investigated leaching characteristics of heavy metals for recycled plastic composites containing EAF(Electric Arc Furnace) dust & EAF slag. EAF dust & EAF slag used that is generated in the 3 steel-malting companies in domestic. The physical and chemical properties of EAF dust & slag was examined by measuring specific surface area, porosity, oil absorption test and chemical wetting analysis etc. Results of total analysis indicated that EAF dust, slag contained significant amount of hazardous metals such as Cu, Pb, Cd and Cr. But, In the leaching test of the recycled plastic composites containing EAF dust, slag by Korean Standard Leaching Procedure, composites shows much lower leaching concentration of heavy metals. It was concluded that the recycled plastic composites containing EAF dust, slag showed good physical and chemical characteristics. This means that the EAF dust, slag can be effectively used as a functional filler.

      • GIS를 활용한 조경수목의 관리방안에 관한 연구

        This study was focused on the efficient management of landscape woody plants. The purpose of this study was to develop an inventory system and its proper application to a site for establishing a management plan. Two different approaches were used; The first was to make a newly structured inventory system through collecting, analyzing, and evaluating various types of inventories. The second approach was to apply a newly designed inventory system to the case study area, using GIS as a tool of spacial analysis, and statistics for making decisions. The results could be summarized as follows; 1.In Korea, most of the Landscape Woody Plants Inventories had datas which represented possession of trees, and only the work which they had done according to their traditional ways. There was no data related to the conditions, management needs, and site conditions of individual trees, this is essential information for organizing an inventory system. 2.There needs to be data which is balanced, containing tree characteristics and site characteristics. Through such information the management needs could be adjusted properly. The inventory list described in this paper was determined by botanical identity, placement condition, condition of tree, and types of work for maintaining as well as improving the condition of each tree. One of the most important things was to determine the location data of each tree so as to compare data with other trees. The data gained from the field survey still had some problems because of lack of scientific method for supporting objective views, and because of actual situations, especially in the field of evaluating site conditions and management needs. All data should be revised to fit a computer data management system, if possible. 3.The GIS(Geographic Information System) application showed good performance in handling inventory data for decision making. All the data used for the GIS application was divided into location and non-spatial data. Using the location data, it was easy to find the exact location of each tree on the monitor and on the maps generated by the computer, even in the actual managed site, along with various attribute data. Therefore it could be said that the entire management plan should start from data of individual trees with their exact locations, for making concrete management goals through actual budget planning.

        제강Slag 충진 폐플라스틱/복합 전도성 filler 복합재료의 전자파 차폐 효과

        Electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding characteristics of composite filled with Cu flake and carbon brush powder as hybrid conductive filler and EAF slag have been studied. The coaxial transmission line method of ASTM D4935-99 was used to measure the EMI Shielding effectiveness of composites as formulation in frequency rage 100~1,000MHz. The SE also increases with the increase in filler loading. The hybrid filler filled composites show higher SE compared to that of only Cu flake. The correlation between SE and conductivity of the various composites is also discussed. The results indicate that the composites having higher filler loading(≥40wt.%) can be used for the purpose of safety materials to protect hazardous electromagnetic interference.

        This study was executed to find out how to improve on the planting and pattern of the plants of main building in Mokpo city by surveying the planting areas-gardens, organs of education, religion, government and public offices, a factory site, public property, a tourist resort etc. The results are as follows; 1. The species number within survey areas were 55 families, 63 species, summing up to 967 kinds total. The family and species of tree which planting frequency was very high were Rosaceae family, juniperus chinensis. 2. As a result of the investigation of planting pattern have come out group planting, screening planting, border planting, sound absorption planting, hedge. 3. Planting pattern were consider texture, colour of a physical factor and variation, accent, balance of aesthetic factor. Tree planting was requested character of aesthetic and functional of tree image by historical and symbolic.

        Republic of Korea is a country of forest, with forest land covering over 65% of national land, and residential districts are well developed along the forest. Moreover, in spite of their high potential use of forest, the mountain-village areas which has poor accessibility due to high attitude are scattered throughout the country. The purposes of this study are to identify classification index of the mountain-village areas, to classify them by the site characteristics and to figure out the factors which development in the mountain-village areas.

        Recently the demand for out-door recreation activites on the urban fringe has grown according to the growth of leisure on urban society, which reflects increment of income, population, mobility, leisure time, etc. The purpose of this project is to establish new recreation space for the city dwellers on farm land where the place of farmer's living and production occurs. The goal of this plan is to try to satisfy both users and farmers through giving labor experience and nature orientied activity for the enjoyment of users and encouraging economical benefits to farmers. The tourism farm is the main concept of this study which is known to many people but not to understand proper. This project area is located in Jin-DoGun Go-GunMyen Beak-PaRi San 92-1, which covers the area of 33,000㎥. The research processes are ; 1. To set the goal and objectives 2.         폴리올레핀계 폐플라스틱/복합filler 성형체의 난연성 및 기계적 물성 연구

        Flame retardancy and mechanical properties of recycled polyolefinic plastics/inorganic filler composite systems were investigated by using several inorganic flame retardants such as magnesium hydroxide and slag powder generated electro arc furnace. Compatibilizer used each maleic anhydride functionalized polyethylene (PE-g-MAH) and polypropylene(PP-g-MAH) or used mixture of these. The effect of polymeric compatibilizers on the properties of composites was studied by tensile and impact test, differential scanning calorimetry, morphology in the changed fracture mechanism. The improved adhesion was particularly reflected in the mechanical properties. The flame retardancy of composites was examined by measuring limiting oxygen index(LOI, ASTM D2863), smoke density(ASTM D2843) and vertical burning test(UL94). Regarding the flame retardant effect, the EAF slag powder is behaving as synergists as they are only active in the presence of magnesium hydroxide.

Park orinted arboretum had characteristic not only enjoyment but learned to use all facility of park and exhibition at the same time to function of scientific research, education and park. Case study is conducted on the YU DAL SAN in Mok po city.
