        Construction site has contributed to construction productivity improvement by utilizing information, simplification, and standardization concept. Also it has contributed to quality and productivity improvement by standardizing design and construction process, using them to a fair decision-making process by organizing diverse data in construction process. However, construction process has diverse variables and uncertain case due to particularity in construction. These parts have an effect on construction process. To use unorganic construction information and knowledge properly has become the factor to project success. Therefore, this study analyzes that D-virus of the uneasy factors has an effect on safety control of construction industry. That is to say, aim of the study is to suggest the solution to remove those after confirming for these factors to have certain effect in construction process through fact finding survey and retesting the factors of D-virus to refer in business management in a constructive position.

        상고 유형의 남성헤어커트에서 연결 각도의 관계 연구

        This study tries to scientifically analyze angles connecting the side head (temporal area) and back head (occipital area) of man`s crew cut (or sang-go cut). Angles are important part of man`s hear cut. The crew cut is divided into three types -- high crew cut, middle crew cut, and low crew cut. 300 male hair-cut customers in total were used as samples to measure angles. Five points on head were selected to measure angles. The results are as follows: 1. The average angle for each of three crew types was as follows: 44.07o for low crew cut; 54.99o for middle crew cut; 67.58o for high crew cut. 2. The angles on five points were as follows: Angles of the middle type were near the average of three types and formed a strait line. In high and low types, the forms on point 1 and point 5 were similar, but showed different patterns from those of point 2, point 3, and point 4. 3. As the value on a specific point increases or decreases, values on every other point also increases or decreases. Viewed from the above results, we can conclude that the angles linking side head and back head of three types of man`s crew cut are different - that of high crew cut type is around 70o, that of the middle type is around 50o, and that of low type is 40o, that we can use them as criteria for man`s crew cult, and that we can accomplish hair styles customers are satisfied by maintaining these unique patterns. And, these unique patterns in which changes of angle on a specific point cause changes in angles on other points lead us to recognize the importance of angles in man`s hair cut.

        상고형 남성헤어커트의 선호각도와 만족도에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 상고형 남성헤어커트 시 형성되는 형성각도와 형성각도의 변화와 만족도와의 관계를 연구하고자 하였다. 자료수집확보의 용이성을 위하여 K지역의 상고머리 형태인 성인남성을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였으며, 각 지점의 4개 포인트를 선택하여 각도기를 0℃로 맞춘 후 무게선의 끝점까지 계측하였다. SPSS WIN 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석, 일원변량분석(One way ANOVA), 선형회귀분석, 교차분석을 실시하였고 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 두상 포인트별 형성각도는 만족도에 대하여 측면의 이어라인은 정(+)의 영향(β=.589, p〈.01)을, 후면의 네이프라인은 부(-)의 영향(β=-.580, p〈.05)을 나타내어 비례적 구분의 특징을 보였다. 둘째, 커트시점의 헤어커트 후 경과일이 5주를 기준으로 만족도에 영향을 미치는 결과(β=.140, p〈.05)를 보였다. 따라서 형성각도가 상고 형 남성커트 시 측면의 이어라인(Ear line) 형성각도와 후면의 네이프 라인(Nape line) 형성각도가 비례하여 관계를 형성하고 이러한 비례에 따른 형성각도는 5주 이내에 가장 높은 만족도를 가진다는 결론에 도달하였다. 본 연구는 믹스매스(Mix & Match)를 통한 헤어디자인의 확장의 이론적 근거를 지지하고 남성커트를 시작하는 미용인에게 형태적인 이해를 돕는 기초자료로 제공이 가능할 것으로 생각되며, 후속 연구에서는 남성헤어커트의 입체적 형태의 이해를 돕는 교육적 자료제공을 위한 두상 포인트별 형성각도의 비율적 연구 접근을 기대한다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the formed-angle and the relationship between the change and satisfaction of angle during the hair cut. The study was carried out on adult males who have the crew style hair cut in the K region. With regards to convenience in collecting data the four points of each point were selected, the angle of the protractor was adjusted to 0 degree, and the measurement was made to the end point of the weight line. And in this study, Frequency analysis, simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, and one-way ANOVA were performed by using the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The results of the study are as follows. First, about the satisfaction, the formed-angles per head-shaped point are showed positive effect (+) (β =.589, p〈.01) to Ear-line of side, and negative effect (-) (β=-.580, p〈.05) to Nape-line of back. Like this, these are showed a characteristic of proportional distinction. Second, the results (β=.140, p〈.05) affecting the satisfaction rate were obtained at 5 weeks after the haircut at the haircut-timing. Therefore, when doing the crew style haircut for male, the formed-angle made relationship with the Ear-line formed-angle of side and Nape-line formed-angle of back are proportional to each other. And this study concluded that the formed angle according to this proportion has the highest satisfaction within 5 weeks. This study supports the theoretical basis of the extension of hair design through Mix & Match and it can be provided as a basic data for helping the morphological understanding to start the male cut. In addition, in the follow-up study, I expect a proportional research approach of the formed-angles per head-shaped point to provide educational materials in a three-dimensional form.

      • The Effect of Font Type and Font Size on the Legibility in Smart Watch Usage of the Elderly People

        Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of character size and font type on legibility of elderly in smart watch usage, and to suggest a design guideline for smart watch - dedicated for legibility enhancement of the elderly people. Background: As the elderly population increases, the demand for health care and relevant costs for elderly are increasing correspondingly. Hence, there have been researches to implement wearable device onto the health monitoring system for elderly. In such manner, smart watch is one of the wearables popularly studied. However, poor legibility due to the small display of smart watch is considered to be a problem for the elderly to fully use it. Thus, legibility should be improved to allow elderly to use the smart watch more conveniently. Method: The task of selecting a target stimulus within two simultaneously given stimuli on a smart watch display was given to participants. A total of 10 sets of stimuli was given, and they were in combination of single font size and type. All subjects performed the task for a total of 8 stimuli sets combining 4 font sizes and 2 font types. The dependent variable is the time to select stimulus and the error occurrence frequency: the number of interference stimulus chosen. Results and Conclusions: In Gothic type, there was no significant differences in recognition time between font sizes. However, in the case of Myung, 9pt, 10pt is better than 11pt, and 12pt. In the case of error frequency, it is shown that 10pt and 11pt results better compared to other two font sizes in case of Gothic. There was no difference in Myung. Application: The results of the study can be the useful guideline to improve legibility for the elderly.

      • A microcantilever-based silver ion sensor using DNA-functionalized gold nanoparticles as a mass amplifier

        <P>Silver ions have been used to sterilize many products, however, it has recently been demonstrated that silver ions can be toxic. This toxicity has been studied over many years with the lethal concentration at 10 <I>μ</I>M. Silver ions can accumulate through the food chain, causing serious health problems in many species. Hence, there is a need for a commercially available silver ion sensor, with high detection sensitivity. In this work, we develop an ultra-sensitive silver ion sensor platform, using cytosine based DNA and gold nanoparticles as the mass amplifier. We achieve a lower detection limit for silver ions of 10 pM; this detection limit is one million times lower than the toxic concentration. Using our sensor platform we examine highly selective characteristics of other typical ions in water from natural sources. Furthermore, our sensor platform is able to detect silver ions in a real practical sample of commercially available drinking water. Our sensor platform, which we have termed a ‘MAIS’ (mass amplifier ion sensor), with a simple detection procedure, high sensitivity, selectivity and real practical applicability has shown potential as an early toxicity assessment of silver ions in the environment.</P>

        Synthetic Prion Peptide 106-126 Resulted in an Increase Matrix Metalloproteinases and Inflammatory Cytokines from Rat Astrocytes and Microglial Cells

        It has been shown that the accumulation of prion in the cytoplasm can result in neurodegenerative disorders. Synthetic prion peptide 106-126 (PrP) is a glycoprotein that is expressed predominantly by neurons and other cells, including glial cells. Prion-induced chronic neurodegeneration has a substantial inflammatory component, and an increase in the levels of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) may play an important role in neurodegenerative development and progression. However, the expression of MMPs in PrP induced rat astrocytes and microglia has not yet been compared. Thus, in this study, we examined the fluorescence intensity of CD11b positive microglia and Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) positive astrocytes and found that the fluorescent intensity was increased following incubation with PrP at 24 hours in a dose-dependent manner. We also observed an increase in interleukin-1 beta (IL-$1{\beta}$) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-${\alpha}$) protein expression, which are initial inflammatory cytokines, in both PrP induced astrocytes and microglia. Furthermore, an increase MMP-1, 3 and 11 expressions in PrP induced astrocytes and microglia was observed by real time PCR. Our results demonstrated PrP induced activation of astrocytes and microglia respectively, which resulted in an increase in inflammatory cytokines and MMPs expression. These results provide the insight into the different sensitivities of glial cells to PrP.

        Antibacterial and remineralization effects of orthodontic bonding agents containing bioactive glass

        Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the mechanical and biological properties of orthodontic bonding agents containing silver- or zinc-doped bioactive glass (BAG) and determine the antibacterial and remineralization effects of these agents. Methods: BAG was synthesized using the alkali-mediated solgel method. Orthodontic bonding agents containing BAG were prepared by mixing BAG with flowable resin. TransbondTM XT (TXT) and CharmfilTM Flow (CF) were used as controls. Ion release, cytotoxicity, antibacterial properties, the shear bond strength, and the adhesive remnant index were evaluated. To assess the remineralization properties of BAG, micro-computed tomography was performed after pH cycling. Results: The BAG-containing bonding agents showed no noticeable cytotoxicity and suppressed bacterial growth. When these bonding agents were used, demineralization after pH cycling began approximately 200 to 300 μm away from the bracket. On the other hand, when CF and TXT were used, all surfaces that were not covered by the adhesive were demineralized after pH cycling. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that orthodontic bonding agents containing silver- or zinc-doped BAG have stronger antibacterial and remineralization effects compared with conventional orthodontic adhesives; thus, they are suitable for use in orthodontic practice.

      • Dietary fish oil alleviates soleus atrophy during immobilization in association with Akt signaling to p70s6k and E3 ubiquitin ligases in rats

        <P> Reduced muscle activity leads to impaired insulin signaling, which leads to loss of contractile proteins and muscle mass via the Akt pathway. Dietary fish oil rich in long chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids has been shown to prevent insulin signaling resistance in skeletal muscle. This study was conducted to elucidate the protective effect of dietary fish oil on disuse-induced perturbations in insulin signaling and soleus muscle atrophy. To accomplish this, rats were fed a corn-oil- (control) or fish-oil-based diet for 2 weeks, and then subjected to hindlimb immobilization while still receiving the same diets. After 10 days of immobilization, the soleus muscle mass and myosin heavy chain level had markedly decreased; however, these losses were significantly suppressed in rats fed dietary fish oil, compared with the control group. Dietary fish oil nearly completely attenuated the disturbances in activation of the Akt and p70 S6 kinase proteins, as well as the gene expression of muscle-specific E3 ubiquitin ligases (muscle atrophy F-box and muscle RING finger 1). However, insulin receptor substrate 1 associated with the p85 subunit of phosphoinositide 3-kinase was not altered during immobilization. Dietary fish oil also inhibited alterations in the gene expression of cyclooxygenase-2 and inducible nitric oxide synthase, with no additional observation of oxidative stress. Collectively, these findings indicate that dietary fish oil prior to and during immobilization may alleviate the immobilization-induced soleus muscle atrophy, at least in part, via the Akt pathway through E3 ubiquitin ligases and p70s6k. </P>
