<P><B>Background:</B></P><P>Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a heterogeneous disease in terms of molecular carcinogenic pathways. Based on recent findings regarding the multiple serrated neoplasia pathway, we revised an eight-marker panel for a new CIMP classification system.</P><P><B>Methods:</B></P><P>1370 patients who received surgical resection for CRCs were classified into three CIMP subtypes (CIMP-N: 0–4 methylated markers, CIMP-P1: 5–6 methylated markers and CIMP-P2: 7–8 methylated markers). Our findings were validated in a separate set of high-risk stage II or stage III CRCs receiving adjuvant fluoropyrimidine plus oxaliplatin (<I>n</I>=950).</P><P><B>Results:</B></P><P>A total of 1287/62/21 CRCs cases were classified as CIMP-N/CIMP-P1/CIMP-P2, respectively. CIMP-N showed male predominance, distal location, lower T, N category and devoid of <I>BRAF</I> mutation, microsatellite instability (MSI) and <I>MLH1</I> methylation. CIMP-P1 showed female predominance, proximal location, advanced TNM stage, mild decrease of CK20 and CDX2 expression, mild increase of CK7 expression, <I>BRAF</I> mutation, MSI and <I>MLH1</I> methylation. CIMP-P2 showed older age, female predominance, proximal location, advanced T category, markedly reduced CK20 and CDX2 expression, rare <I>KRAS</I> mutation, high frequency of CK7 expression, <I>BRAF</I> mutation, MSI and <I>MLH1</I> methylation. CIMP-N showed better 5-year cancer-specific survival (CSS; HR=0.47; 95% CI: 0.28–0.78) in discovery set and better 5-year relapse-free survival (RFS; HR=0.50; 95% CI: 0.29–0.88) in validation set compared with CIMP-P1. CIMP-P2 showed marginally better 5-year CSS (HR=0.28, 95% CI: 0.07–1.22) in discovery set and marginally better 5-year RFS (HR=0.21, 95% CI: 0.05–0.92) in validation set compared with CIMP-P1.</P><P><B>Conclusions:</B></P><P>CIMP subtypes classified using our revised system showed different clinical outcomes, demonstrating the heterogeneity of multiple serrated precursors of CIMP-positive CRCs.</P>

The purpose of this study was to define DISC Behavioral Types and Eating Attitude(KEAT-26) of Female University Students. Data were collected using a questionnaires targeting Female University Students. Data collection was done between July 9, 2015 and October 17, 2015, and colleted total 297 copies. Data analyzed using t-test , ANOVA Scheffe test and Pearson's correlation coefficients. The main results of this study are BMI(p=.001), frequency of meal(p=.031), smoking(p=.023) were a signifieant difference related to Eating Attitude(KEAT-26).

Background: Acute hepatic failure is a life-threatening critical condition associated with rapid deterioration of liver function and liver transplantation. Several studies have shown that Panax ginseng Mayer has antidiabetic and hepatoprotective effects. However, the hepatoprotective effect of ginseng berry is still unveiled. In this study, we evaluated the hepatoprotective effects of ultrasonication-processed ginseng berry extract (UGBE) on acute hepatic failure model in rats. Methods: Ginseng berry extract (GBE) was ultrasonically processed. The GBE, silymarin, and UGBE were orally administered to male Sprague-Dawley rats for 4 wk. Twenty-four h after the last administration, rats were challenged with D-galactosamine (D-GalN)/lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Results: After ultrasonication, the component ratio of ginsenosides Rg2, Rg3, Rh1, Rh4, Rk1, Rk3, and F4 in GBE had been elevated. Administration of UGBE significantly increased the survival rate of D-GalN/LPS-challenged rats. Pretreatment with UGBE significantly decreased serum alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, and total bilirubin levels in D-GalN/LPS-challenged rats in a dose-dependent manner. The levels of enzymatic markers for oxidative stress (superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, catalase, and glutathione) were increased by UGBE treatment in a dose-dependent manner. Tumor necrosis factor alphalevel, inducible nitric oxide synthase activities, and nitric oxide productions were reduced by UGBE treatment. In addition, hemeoxygenase-1 levels in liver were also significantly increased in the UGBE-treated group. The protein expression of toll-like receptor 4 was decreased by UGBE administration. Hematoxylin and eosin staining results also supported the results of this study showing normal appearance of liver histopathology in the UGBE-treated group. Conclusion: UGBE showed a great hepatoprotective effect on D-GalN/LPS-challenged rats via the toll-like receptor 4 signaling pathway.

본 연구는 유치원 실내외 안전한 환경관리에 대한 교사의 인식을 알아보고, 교사의 안전관리업무 지원방안을 마련하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해 현직 유치원교사 159명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 빈도와 백분율 등으로 결과를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 현직교사들은 예비교사교육과정과 현직교사교육과정(연수)에서 안전교육을 이수하였으며, 아동학대와 방임에 대한 교육을 가장 많이 받은 것으로 나타났다. 유치원의 안전한 실내외 환경을 확인하고 관리 및 점검하는 절차를 대체적으로 갖추고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 유치원교사들은 실내외 환경의 일차적인 책임을 맡는 비율이 원장이나 다른 직원에 비해 높게 나타났으며, 석면과 미세먼지를 제외한 대부분의 실내외 환경 안전관리를 자체점검으로 진행하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 유치원 교사를 대상으로 하는 실내외 안전환경 자체점검 교육, 교사용 안전관리 매뉴얼 개발, 안전관리를 위한 단위유치원과 교육청 간의 손쉬운 전달체계 등이 논의되었다. This study aimed to survey the perception of teachers about the safety management indoor/outdoor environment in kindergartens. 159 teachers participated in completing the questionnaires and frequency, percentage were used to present results. The results were as follows. First, the participants took the class about the safety management of kindergarten indoor/outdoor environment in pre-service and in-service teacher education(child abuse and neglect). Second, approximately 80% of the participants responded that there was a procedure in Kindergarten for verifying and certifying the safety of the indoor / outdoor environment. Particularly, the proportion of teachers was higher than others for safety management duties. Also, The indoor/outdoor environment was almost self-managed except for asbestos and fine dust. Based on the results, several implications were discussed including the necessity of teacher safety education, safety manual, and easy and convenient system between kindergarten and local education office.
