Gastric angiodysplasia is vascular ectasia in mucosa and submucosa of the gastric wall. It is an uncommon cause of upper gastrointesinal hemorrhage that may occur in the stomach or duodenum. There are many kinds of endoscopic treatments, such as argon plasma coagulation, electrocoagulation, heat probe, and submucosal injection of hypertonic saline mixed with epinephrine for gastric angiodysplasia. However, these treatment methods are associated with high rate of rebleeding. In order to avoid the recurrence, endoscopic band ligation has recently been used as an alternative method for endoscopic treatment of gastric angiodysplasia. We encountered a case of gastric angiodysplasia that presented with overt bleeding and anemia, and was successfully treated with endoscopic band ligation.
사람 Adenylate Kinase 1의 p-Loop부위에 위치한 Serine^(19) 잔기의 돌연변이에 의한 구조 활정 상관관계

Adenylate kinase (AK)는 모든 세포에 존재하는 에너지대사에 관련하는 효소로서 short form과 long form의 두 종류의 isoform으로 분류된다. 포유류 세포의 세포질에 존재하는 short form은 높은 효소 활성(1,800 U/mg)을 나타내며, 전핵생물이나 미토콘드리아에 존재하는 long form은 매우 낮은 활성(200 U/mg)을 나타낸다. 한편, 박테리아인 Mycobacterium tuberculosis의 AK(AKmt)는 구조적으로는 진핵세포와 같은 short form이지만, 활성은 long form의 전형적인 낮은 활성을 갖고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구에서 사람의AK1(hAK1)과 AKmt의 효소의 촉매활성에 중요한 부위인 P-loop의 아미노산 서열 중 활성이 높은 isoform과 활성이 낮은 isoform에서 serine(Ser^(19)hAK1)과 alanine(Ala^(11)AKmt)으로 각각의 보존성이 상이하여 이 부분이 효소 활성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 부위지정 돌연변이법을 이용하여 hAK1의 19번째 Ser을 Ala으로 치환시킨 돌연변이체(S19AhAK1)를 작성하여 hAK1 및 AKmt간의 활성 및 기질 친화도를 반응속도론적으로 비교한 결과 S19AhAK1의 활성은 450 U/mg으로 AKmt 수준으로 낮아졌으나, 기질 친화도인 Km 값은 ATP 및 AMP에 대하여 큰 변화를 보이지 않았다. 이로서 P-loop의 serine은 side chain의 polarity를 통해 phosphoryl-transfer의 촉매능을 촉진하고 있음을 확인하였다. Adenylate kinase (AK) is a ubiquitous enzyme which related with the energy metabolism in living cells. AK has two kinds of isoforms: short form and long form. Generally the short form has high enzymatic activity (1800 U/mg) and exists in eukaryotic cytosol, while long form has low activity (200 U/mg) and exists in mitochondria and bacteria. Interestingly, AK from Mycobacterium tuberculosis (AKmt) belongs to the short form isozyme, but catalytic activity is as low as that of bacterial long forms'. To characterize this discrepancy, we shed light on the conserved residues in the p-loop of the enzyme. In the flexible P-loop of AK, serine is conserved in high-activity isozymes and alanine is conserved in low-activity isozymes, respectively. Ser^(19) of high activity hAK1 is replaced by Ala at P-loop in low activity AKmt. We substituted Ala for Ser^(19) in hAK1 by site-directed mutagenesis to get a mutant enzyme, S19AhAK1. Enzyme activity of S19AhAK1 was greatly reduced to 450 U/mg, as expected. However, minor changes in Km values for both of ATP and AMP were detected. In condusion, the serine^(19) in hAKl enhances the phosphoryl-transfer catalysis but not in substrate binding, by utilizing the polarity in p-loop environment.

Gastritis cystica profunda (GCP) is a disease characterized by hyperplastic and significant extension of cystic dilatation of the gastric mucous glands, which results in a cystic lesion in gastric submucosa. It often occurs on the part of gastroenterostomy, but can be found in the stomach without any previous surgery. GCP has variable gross finding including solitary polyps, diffuse ones, submucosal tumors, and rare giant gastric mucosal fold. It is difficult to tell GCP from a cancerous lesion by gross finding that the disease demands a necessary tissue biopsy, though GCP is commonly showed as a benign in the progress. We report a case of GCP in polypoid types diagnosed by endoscopic polypectomy.
T cell epitope 차폐에 의한 b_(4) peptide 면역응답방응에 대한 연구

Apo B-100 is a constitutive component of low density lipoprotein (LDL) of which functions in packaging, transport and absorption of lipids Extortive binding of anti B_(4)-antibody onto the Apo B-100 should inhibited the functions of Apo B-100 Previously we had showed that the peptide B_(4) induced antibodies recognized Apo B-100 and thus elicited anti-obesity effect In this study we compared the efficacy of antibody inducing immune responses by introducing additional peptides fused to the C-termninal of B_(4) peptide We constructed TB_(4) hybride peptide of B_(4) with preS2 of HBV and B_(4)N another epitope orientation of chimeric TB_(4) Among these three artificial peptides B_(4)N was the most efficient inducer of the antibody against B_(4) These result explains that the B cell epitope and T-helper cell epitope orientation is very important factor to determine the antigenicity to humoral immunity. Apo B-100은 LDL에서 지방을 포장, 흡수, 운반하는 기능을 수행하는 단백질이다. Apolipoprotein B-100(Apo B-100)에 대한 특이 항체의 결합은 LDL의 정상 기능을 방해한다. 선행 실험에서 Apo B-100의 모조 펩타이드인 B_(4)가 Apo-B-100을 교차 인식하는 항체를 유도하고, 비만 억제 효과를 나타내는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구에서 B_(4)펩타이드의 C-terminal부분에 펩타이드를 융합, 첨가하므로 면역반응에서 항체유도의 면역응답반응에 어떠한 효과를 나타내는지 비교해 보고자 하였다. B_(4)펩타이드의 N-말단에 HBV의preS2 펩티드를 융합시킨 B_(4)T의 N-말단데 또다른 B세포 에피도프 펩티드를 융합시킨 B_(4)N을 작성하였다, 세종류의 하이브리드 펩타이드 중에서 B_(4)N이 B_(4)에 대한 항체유도능이 가장 효율적이다,. 이상의 결과로 B cell epitope과 T-helper cell epitope의 방향성이 체액성 면역 반응에서 항원유도능을 결정하는 중요한 요소임을 확인하였다.

In order to investigate the effect of the interface on GMR, [NiFe(25 Å)/Cu(24 Å)]₂/Si thin film was epitaxially grown on HF-treated Si (001) substrate using a DC magnetron sputtering method. Typical GMR effects could be observed in epitaxial film with a weak antiferromagnetic exchange coupling while non epitaxial film showed unsaturated and broad MR curves probably due to inter-diffusion between NiFe and Cu layers. Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) experiment showed two distinct absorption peaks in all films. Each peak was revealed to come from each NiFe layer with different magnetic property. In FMR measurement, very clear interface in epitaxial films could be confirmed by a lower value of line width (ΔH) and higher Ms of epitaxial film than those of non epitaxial films, respectively.

The purpose of this study is to examine the changes on lumbar muscle strength in relation to 12-week pilates mat exercise of elderly women. The participants are chosen for 17 people who is an experimental group and 14 people who is an comparison group who except wastage and pilates mat exercise program was gradually intensify applied three times a week, during 12 weeks. The peak torque of flexion was increased(p<.01) and the difference of ratio of agonist to antagonist was decreased(p<.001). The total work of flexion and extension had significant increased(p<.001) at 120°/sec. As a result of all these, it was judged as positive effect for body composition, basal physical fitness and lumbar muscle strength after pilates mat exercise in 12 weeks. These positive effects showed that pilates mat exercise could got conclusions that mitigated the musculoskelctal disorders, slow down the progress of disorders, helped as a functions of physical.
