Maximum Ratio Transmission 기법의 MIMO 다중경로 페이딩 채널로의 확장

To effectively improve capacity on fading channels in the third generation and beyond mobile communication systems that require high quality and capacity, spatial diversity schemes utilizing MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) concepts have been identified as an efficient way of improving the capacity without expanding the bandwidth. Among various MIMO spatial diversity schemes, MRT (Maximum Ratio Transmission) which maximizes signal-to-noise ratio at the reception has been recently proposed. In this paper, we extend the conventional MRT scheme which is restricted to flat fading channels to MIMO multipath fading channels, and analyze the bit error rate performance.

Lee, Yo-An(2010), “Analysis of Curriculum Components of Language Teacher Education:Enhancing Academic Knowledge or Developing Professional Skills?”, Language & Information Society 13, Two of the principal goals of language teacher education are to enhance teachers` academic knowledge and to develop their teaching practices. Yet, there is a paucity of empirical studies to verify how these goals are realized at actual curriculum of teacher education programs. The present study investigates curricula of language teacher education in order to identify how these dual goals are addressed across programs at the curriculum level. First, the analysis of required courses of 30 randomly selected programs shows that there are too small a number of language education courses to address relevant topics and issues with a sufficient depth. Furthermore, linguistics and education have figured most prominently in academic content across curricula, although linguistic courses outnumber education courses considerably. Second, a detailed case study of one teacher education program looks into the relationship between programmatic features behind its curriculum and the students` evaluation of them. It is found that, while the course works are designed to develop students` conceptual capacity for their independent decision-makings in their classrooms, students are more concerned with whether and to what degree given courses reflect their classroom realities. Implication for curriculum designers and further studies are discussed.

MIMO (multi-input multi-output) systems can achieve high data capacity and high data rate in the third generation (3G) or beyond-3G mobile communication systems. To effectively improve the performance of MIMO systems, new detection schemes which can mitigate mutual interferences from multiple transmit antennas, are highly required. In this paper, we consider a posteriori probability (APP) type detection schemes for the MIMO systems, and compare with other sub-optimal detection schemes based on zero forcing (ZF) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) - ordered successive interference cancellation (OSIC). Simulation results show that the APP outperforms ZF-OSIC and MMSE-OSIC, while the performance discrepancy becomes smaller as the number of receive antennas increases.
중압 배전망에서의 전력선 통신을 위한 OFDM 기법의 성능 분석

Recently, PLC (Power Line Communication) on medium voltage power lines have been gaining much attention for high data rate access networking. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) schemes on medium voltage power line channels in the frequency range up to 20 ㎒. We analyze fading characteristics of multi-path channel models for medium voltage power lines, and simulations have been carried out for the OFDM using adaptive bit loading scheme. Simulation results indicate that the OFDM schemes with the adaptive bit loading show good bit error rate performance under harsh medium voltage power lines channel.

<P>Conclusions: This study for the first time demonstrates that ER71/ETV2 alone can directly reprogram human postnatal cells to functional, mature ECs after an intervening transgene-free period. These rECs could be valuable for cell therapy, personalized disease investigation, and exploration of the reprogramming process.</P>
