Background/Aims Mean nocturnal baseline impedance (MNBI) is a new reflux metric for mucosal integrity. It remains unclear whether MNBI can help identify evidence against pathological reflux by the Lyon Consensus in patients with refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) symptoms. Methods Three hundred and forty-nine patients with refractory GERD symptoms enrolled in this study were subjected to high-resolution manometry, 24-hour multichannel intraluminal impedance-pH (MII-pH) monitoring, and endoscopy. Conventional indexes (ie, reflux events and acid exposure time) and the novel index (MNBI) of MII-pH monitoring were extracted and analyzed. The value of MNBI in diagnosing patients with evidence against pathologic reflux was evaluated by receiver-operating-characteristic analysis. Results There were 102 (29.2%) patients with evidence against pathologic reflux, 149 (42.7%) with inconclusive or borderline evidence and 98 (28.1%) with conclusive evidence for pathologic reflux. The MNBI was significantly higher while the proportion of pathological MNBI was significantly lower in subjects with evidence against pathologic reflux than in patients with inconclusive or borderline evidence and in patients with conclusive evidence for pathologic reflux (2444.3 [1977.9-2997.4] vs 1992.8 [1615.5-2253.6] and vs 1772.3 [758.6-2161.3], both P < 0.001; 42.2% vs 79.7% and vs 80.0%, both P < 0.05). When identifying evidence against pathologic reflux in patients with refractory GERD symptoms, the MNBI yielded an area under the curve of 0.749 (P < 0.001) at a cutoff value of 1941.8 Ω. Conclusions The MNBI has a good diagnostic value for evidence against pathological reflux in patients with refractory GERD symptoms. For its simplicity and reproducibility, we believe that MNBI should be referred to in reports of impedance-pH tracings by physicians. (J Neurogastroenterol Motil 2022;28:121-130)
Adaptive Network Traffic Prediction Algorithm based on BP Neural Network
Ming Zhang,Yanhong Lu 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.8 No.5
With the rapid development of Internet technology, the network now has a large size and high complexity, and consequently the network management is becoming increasing difficult and complexity, so traffic forecast play a more and more role in network management. With a large amount of real traffic data collected from the actual network, an adaptive network traffic prediction algorithm based on BP neural network was proposed in this paper, it use an adaptive learning rate method to adjust the learning rate according to total error changing trend of decreased or increased and the difference of changing; and then it corrects the weights in each layers according to forward and reverse calculation. Simulation results show that, compared with the traditional BP neural network, our algorithm has better performance in the prediction results, and has smaller error.

Activated char obtained by the co-pyrolysis of a mixture of lignite and biomass impregnated with ZnCl2 solution was found to be effective for the high-temperature capture of mercury from syngas. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Hg-thermal programmed desorption as well as Brunauer- Emmett-Teller analysis. The results show that activated char exhibits a large surface area as well as abundant micropores and C-Cl, C=O, and COOH functional groups. During the chemisorption of mercury, gaseous Hg0 is first oxidized by C-Cl to HgCl2; HgCl2 which acts as the intermediate product then reacts with the C=O and COOH functional groups on the surface of activated char to generate Hg-OM. At high adsorption temperatures, Hg-OM on the adsorbent surface can further decompose and generate HgO. The C-Cl group is important for the first oxidation step of gaseous Hg0, and the formation of HgCl2 is the rate-determining step for the entire process of adsorption.
Cultural Connotation and Developmental Status of Chinese Boccaro Tea Set
Zhao Yanhong,Han Yuying,Zhang Honghua 한국차학회 2015 한국차학회지 Vol.- No.S
Boccaro Teapot is one of the main carriers of tea culture in China. This paper introduces the material and its applied characteristics, modelling, development history, appreciation, and cultural connotation of boccaro tea sets. This article mainly introduced some classical works of Chinese boccaro artists. The production characteristics, display form and artistic connotation are recommended. Chinese boccaro teapots are both practical tea sets and works of art, they fully conveys the culture connotation of tea culture. The author thinks the main connotation of tea culture is to respect and tolerate, hopes people’s the positive attitude and wishes to create a harmonious happy life together. Since the advent of boccaro teapots, they are popular all over the world, especially loved and collected by people from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Southeast Asian countries
Structure learning of exponential family graphical model with false discovery rate control
Liu Yanhong,Zhang Yuhao,Li Zhonghua 한국통계학회 2023 Journal of the Korean Statistical Society Vol.52 No.3
Probabilistic graphical models enjoy great popularity in a wide range of domains due to their ability to model the conditional dependency relationships among random variables. This paper explores the structure learning for the exponential family graphical model with false discovery rate (FDR) control. Most existing FDR-con-trolled structure learning procedures have been designed for the Gaussian graphical model (GGM). A systematic approach for more general exponential family graphical models is still lacking. In this paper, we introduce a unified procedure to learn the structure of the exponential family graphical model with FDR control utilizing the symmetrized data aggregation (SDA) technique via sample splitting, data screening, and information pooling. We show that our method controls FDR asymptotically under some mild conditions. Extensive simulation results and two real-data examples validate the effectiveness of our method.

Objectives. To investigate glucocorticoid receptor (GR) and histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2) gene expression and protein levels in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients with severe or profound sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) and to explore the roles of GRs and HDAC2 in glucocorticoid (GC) insensitivity. Methods. Fifty-five severe or profound SSNHL patients were enrolled in the study. According to hearing improvement after GC treatment, patients were assigned into two groups: GC-sensitive and GC-resistant. A normal reference group included 20 healthy volunteers without hearing loss. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blot analyses were used to detect the relative expression of GRα, GRβ, and HDAC2 in PBMCs at the mRNA and protein levels. Results. The protein levels of GRs and HDAC2 in PBMCs of SSNHL patients were lower than the normal reference values before GC treatment. Compared with the GC-resistant group, both the mRNA and protein levels of GRα and HDAC2 were significantly increased in the GC-sensitive group after GC treatment. Conclusion. A lack of GRα and HDAC2 induction following steroid treatment in GC-resistant SSNHL patients may play a fundamental mechanistic role in GC insensitivity. Response of GRα and HDAC2 to steroid treatment may, thus, predict the prognosis of hearing improvement in SSNHL patients.
