      • Current states and prospects of organic waste utilization for biorefineries

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Energy demand is continuously increasing, due to rapid growth accompanying the development of population and industrialization. Because of the fossil sources are not keeping pace with the spiraling consumption, the over exploitation of nature resource results more environmental deterioration, which is not only in developing countries, but in some of the developed countries. Biomass, with its economic and environmentally-friendly properties, has been widely employed in biorefineries to recuperate from the scarcity of fossil fuels. Moreover, with the development of technology, recent research has upgraded the acceleration of biomass utilization. To date, the fourth generation of biomass, organic waste, has been widely applied, and multiple target products of biomass conversion are available. The present review article aims to highlight the various biochemical processes for the conversion of organic wastes into valuable products.</P>

      • 课程思政视域下高校跆拳道教学改革的路径研究

        随着时代的进步与发展,“课程思政”、“教学改革”等字眼相继出现在大众的是视眼中,“高校人才培养课程体系建设”成为了课程思政的新命题。课程思政不单指一门课程,而是指一种全新的教学模式、教学理念。跆拳道作为高校体育课程不可缺少的一部分,被重视程度越来越高。高校体育教学需结合相关的政治教育,不仅要培养学生的技能、身体素质,更重要的还要承担学生的心理健康培养,跆拳道教学也是如此。文章通过文献资料法、思政调研法、逻辑推理等研究方法对高校跆拳道教学现实的探索,发现教师依然将重心放在了技能的学习上,缺少思政教育。因此,高校跆拳道教师应将理论与实践结合的方式,将“跆拳道精神”融入教学,培养学生的爱国主义精神,实现“以体育人”“以体育心”的教学目标。同时,以课程思政融入高校跆拳道教学的建设路径为高校其他体育课程教学改革提供相关借鉴。 With the progress and development of the times, the words “curriculum ideology and politics” and “teaching reform” have successively appeared in the eyes of the public, and “the construction of the curriculum system for college talent training” has become a new proposition of curriculum ideology and politics. Curriculum ideology and politics not only refers to a course, but also refers to a new teaching mode and teaching philosophy. As an indispensable part of college sports courses, taekwondo is becoming more and more important. Physical education in colleges and universities needs to be combined with relevant political education, not only to cultivate students' skills, physical fitness, but more importantly, to undertake the cultivation of students' mental health, and the same is true for taekwondo teaching. Through the exploration of the reality of taekwondo teaching in colleges and universities through research methods such as literature method, ideological and political research method, and logical reasoning, this paper finds that teachers still focus on the learning of skills and lack ideological and political education. Therefore, college taekwondo teachers should combine theory and practice, integrate the “taekwondo spirit” into teaching, cultivate students' patriotic spirit, and achieve the teaching goals of “sports people” and “sports heart”. At the same time, the construction path of integrating curriculum ideology and politics into taekwondo teaching in colleges and universities provides relevant references for the teaching reform of other physical education courses in colleges and universities.

        Value sharing results of a meromorphic function f(z) and f(qz)

        In this paper, we investigate sharing value problems related to a meromorphic function f(z) and f(qz), where q is a non-zero constant. It is shown, for instance, that if f(z) is zero-order and shares two valves CM and one value IM with f(qz), then f(z)=f(qz).

      • Bridge widening with composite steel-concrete girders: application and analysis of live load distribution

        A bridge widening technology using steel-concrete composite system was developed and is presented in this paper. The widened superstructure system consists of a newly built composite steel-concrete girder with concrete deck and steel diaphragms attached to the existing concrete girders. This method has been applied in several bridge widening projects in China, and one of those projects is presented in detail. Due to the higher stiffness-to-weight ratio and the rapid erection of composite girders, this widening method reveals benefits in both mechanical performance and construction. As only a few methods for the design of bridges with different types of girders are recommended in current design codes, a more accurate analytical method of estimating live load distribution on girder bridges was developed. In the analytical model, the effects of span length, girder pacing, diaphragms, concrete decks were considered, as well as the torsional and flexural stiffness of both composite box girders and concrete T girders. The study shows that the AASHTO LRFD specification procedures and the analytical models proposed in this paper closely approximate the live load distribution factors determined by finite element analysis. A parametric study was also conducted using the finite element method to evaluate the potential load carrying capacities of the existing concrete girders after widening.

        Evaluation of the Overall Process on Bioethanol Production from Miscanthus Hydrolysates Obtained by Dilute Acid Pretreatment

        In this study, dilute sulfuric acid pretreatment was performed to improve the sugars recovery from Korean Miscanthus straw. The effect of pretreatment conditions on solubilized xylose was fundamentally investigated for the efficient removal of xylan. The optimal conditions were determined using a statistical method, and were shown to be a temperature of 121.6°C, an acid concentration of 1.1%, and a reaction time of 12.8 min. The combined severity factor was shown to be 1.1 under the optimum conditions. Following the pretreatment, the solubilized xylose in liquid fraction was found to be 71.2%, and about 72.6% of the solid was recovered. After enzymatic hydrolysis, about 86.4% glucose conversion was achieved when the pretreated biomass was used as a substrate, with the conversion being improved 4-fold compared with the control (untreated). The hydrolysates, approximately 10 g/L glucose, were applied to the fermentation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae K35, and the ethanol yield was about 96%. The overall process was evaluated based on the material balance, and the results show that approximately 172 g bioethanol can be produced when 1,000 g Miscanthus straw is loaded into the process.

        A NOTE ON MEROMORPHIC SOLUTIONS OF COMPLEX DIFFERENTIAL-DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS

        In this article, we consider properties of transcendental meromorphic solutions of the complex differential-difference equation $$P_n(z)f^{(n)}(2+{\eta}_n)+{\cdots}+P_1(z)f^{\prime}(z+{\eta}_1)+P_0(z)f(z+{\eta}_0)=0$$, and its non-homogeneous equation. Our results extend earlier results by Liu et al. [9].

        Structural analysis and testing of a miniature flexible joint under pressure and vector loading

        The structural characteristics of a miniature tactical motor flexible joint subjected to pressure and vector loading were investigated usingfinite element analysis and bench test. Three-dimensional non-linear finite element analysis was conducted using ANSYS Code Version11.0. The axial deflection, vectoring torque, and stress distributions in elastomeric and reinforcement rings were presented. Thepredicted values were consistent with the test data. Results indicate that the axial compressive stiffness increased gradually and nonlinearlywith pressure, while the angular stiffness remained nearly constant in the vectoring angle range from 0° to 6°. Under pressureloading, the elastomeric shear stress was negative, high at both sides, and low at the center of the cross-section, while the reinforcementhoop stress was compressive at the inner radius and tensile at the outer radius. The compressive stress was also high. The flexible jointexhibited higher stress level with altered stress distribution when subjected to additional vector loading. Existing empirical formulas forreinforcement hoop compressive stress were determined to be not applicable to the miniature flexible joint, which significantly overestimatedthe stress caused by pressure and underestimated the stress caused by vectoring.
