This research describes a interactive process of analysing the demand factors for apartment on Cheonan area. Using subjective statistical data for demand factor the process are categorized into main factors explained for the sensitiveness of correlation coefficient. Consequently, this paper provides useful information about correlationship, but has limit of regional boundary for effectiveness.

Protease와 CMCase를 동시에 분비하는 Bacillus sp. SY8-24의 분리 및 대량 생산 조건

A bacterium producing protease and CMCase was isolated from soil, has been identified as Bacillus sp. The isolate, named Bacillus sp. SY8-24, was shown to be very similar to Bacillus subtilis on the basis of its biochemical properties. Medium optimization for mass production of Bacillus sp. SY8-24 was performed. The optimum condition for the mass production of Bacillus sp. SY8-24 was attained in a culture medium composed of 1%(w/v) soybean meal and 2%(w/v) molasses.

Sodium azide(SA) is commonly used as propellant for inflating automatic safety bags and other chemical manufacturing purposes. The investigation of potentially thermal hazard of sodium azide and its mixture with polymers are very important because it can occur an expected traffic accident so we took a experiments using DSC(different scanning calorimeter) in nitrogen atmosphere. The decomposition temperature were about 350℃∼450℃. We could find not only exothermic reaction was remarkably decreased in mixtures of ABS and PVC, but also increasing mixed rate of acrylonitnile butadiene styrene(ABS), polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) and polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) decreased thermal decomposition heat.

Melville and Mark Twain dealt with innocence versus maturity as a dominant theme through the symbolic use of water. They habitually strove to overcome a deep sense of dichotomy with the help of each character who journeyed towards the reconciliation of a devided self, floating of the river or ocean. Each first-person narrator reveals the writer's inner conflict between actual life and ideal dream. In fact, Moby Dick and The Adventures of Huck Finn exploit water as a psychological medium to access the secret of universal life. Moby Dick leads Melville to the union of man and nature. Ishmael also interprets his inner navigation seeking an escape from conventional life on land. As for him, the sea promises intellectual meditation. Huckleberry Finn tells about Huck's physical adventures along the river. While he is of the raft, his response like that of Mark Twain develops into dynamic vision. Ishmael and Huck achieved an "equal eye' in their investigation into the hidden philosophies of aquatic world. In the course of their spiritual journeys, water seems a symbol of intuitive wisdom, a sense of rebirth and a vehicle of life-force, that is, a code for deciphering a correlation between the actual physical levels and absolute moral levels of life. Therefore, water in Moby Dick and Huck Finn can be said to be a spiritual vehicle for the characters to reflect their inner relation to man, nature and the world.

"Young Goodman Brown"에서의 담화분석의 실제적 적용

"Young Goodman Brown" is one of Hawthorne's most controversial tales, and as such, it is open to a wide range of interpretations and approaches. Recent developments in literary theory indicates that discourse analysis is a powerful tool for literary criticism, especially for short stories. Malcolm Coulthard, Ronald Carter and Roger Fowler have all argued that the author's creative techniques and stylistic features can be made clear within this linguistic framework. "Young Goodman Brown" with its seventy two paragraphs and seven scenes, may be seen as a cyclical sequence of steps employing the structure of the Setting-Step-Resolution-Evaluation structure suggested by a British Professor, Florence Davies. Goodman Brown makes a night journey through a forest, hoping to return scathed. However, a careful analysis of his actions reveals the narrative's subtle undermining of his efforts. The use of certain lexical patterns brings the reader close to Brown's inner darkness. The sound images reveal a pervasive sense of distress. Moreover, the narrative tone describes Brown's suffering, the result of mistrust and his sinful consciousness. In the end, Brown returns a beaten man, and his quest ends in failure. Discourse analysis shows that nighttime journey is no longer nightmare, but an actual, if regrettable experience. In doing so, discourse analysis demonstrates its usefulness as a means of analyzing a classic American short story.

Hawthorne의 단편에 나타난 소외의 다양성

Related to Hawthorne's basic concern with man is his concern for the problem of man in society. In this paper, we shall see Hawthorne's views on and attitudes toward the nature and results of isolation, social or class distinctions and the effect of the past on the present. Looking first at the kinds of isolation, we find the character of artist. The aloofness of artist from the community, so characteristic of the artist, serves as an effective vehicle for imaginative creation. They sometimes try to obtain the 'Home-return', but their longing is misguided. Such result of being out of life makes the artist's alienation universal. Secondly, the scientist's isolation into fancy that might result from the desire for perfectability lacks public common sense. And the scientist, victimized by failing to make distinction between illusion and reality of woman, causes the extreme seclusion: death or murder. Lastly, Hawthorne emphasizes the effect of being out of home and the effect of the past on the present. Such kind of isolation is noted in connection with life pursuers' refusal to consider the past dogma available. They are made of their own solitariness in the physical world. Accordingly, Hawthorne is said to suggest the theory of the rationalization of the isolated self, which renewed and reevaluated in modern times.

This article with Jane Austen's representative novel, Pride and Prejudice, based on the novel of character, in which four types of character: flat and fool, flat and good, round and fallen, round and principled, are constructed in the organic flame. Jane Austen's force of narrative owes much to humor, irony and moral atmosphere. The genius of Austen consists in the ability to transform the matter of marriage into the stage on which each character displays his own pattern of behavior. Therefore, each character shows himself by what he says and does. So her invention is wholly in character itself. In this novel, Darcy and Elizabeth are round and principled whose prie and prejudice are interwoven. Nevertheless, Mr. Bennet, Mr wickham, and Miss Charlotte are also round but fallen because their identities are subdued to the exterior forces. Mrs. Bennet, Lydia, Mr. Collins, Lady Catherine are absolutely flat and fool. Miss Jane and Bingley are flat and good because their moral is neither harm nor constructive. Jane Austen deals with the distinction between false values and true; also between active attitude and passive, based on humor and irony. That is the reason why Miss Austen's works possess elements of indestructible excellence.

사회안전망으로서의 실업자 직업훈련 내실화 방안 : 한국산업인력공단의 직업훈련을 중심으로 based upon the VET of Korea Manpower Agency

After Asian economic crisis in 1997, as the unemployment rate dramatically increased bringing serious social problems, a counter measures was urgently required. Korean government stared to pay attention to the VET for the unemployed to lower the unemployment rate and to manage the human resource more effectively. As a counter action, Korea Manpower Agency brought VET into practice; however, it couldn't fulfill the expectation as a long-term solution for the sudden crisis. Fortunately, since this January, the economy has been booming rapidly decreasing the unemployment rate down to 3%. The issue on unemployment becomes an ancient history as well. However, in terms of VET, the analysis of the factors, which resulted unsatisfactory outcomes against the unemployment, is required for negative potential situations to secure the fundamental human rights to live in the future. Also another measures is required to make VET carry the major role as a social security plan even though it will not be applied to the majority of population. Mainly, the functions of VET for the unemployed are categorized into promoting reemployment, mitigating unemployment impact, and providing basic needs for living. Specifically, the function of promoting reemployment includes planning the training schedule in terms of the individual differences; providing long-term(over 6 months) training; establishing training programs of information related industry; using distance education system; differentiating the training contents in terms of the individual needs; reinforcing providing of training and job information; retraining trainers; reinforcing the co-operation of the industry and the school; operating widespread job network; and supporting the employment for senior citizens. To accomplish the function of mitigating unemployment impact effectively, the trainer's role to maintain the trainees mental stability high is essential. Further more, the governmental support, including simplifying the process of the trainer's administrative task, is required to ensure the trainers maintain and strengthen their interests to the trainees. For the function of providing basic needs for living, the governmental support is necessary as well. The amount of grant must be provided enough to enable the trainees to dedicate their all efforts to the training needs to be provided. To implement these methods into practice, further studies, which are more concrete and specialized as well as supported by the policy, are needed. Thus this issue includes many problems requiring long-term efforts and gradual resolving. However, the elements such as training plan reflecting local features, promotion of councils for co-operation of school and industry, and simplification of trainers' administrative tasks should be resolved immediately for actual changes to improve the quality of the training and prevent the budget from wasting.

『마블 판』쓰기와 호손의 미의식의 개안

The Marble Faun should be examined carefully to discover the influence of Italian artistic environments upon Hawthorne during his residence in Europe. In fact, the novel is estimated to be Hawthorne's final and most comprehensive work to evaluate his literary characteristics. It is Hawthorne's aesthetic initiation that brings out the external plot and internal theme of the novel written in Europe. Hawthorne was very impressed by European art, especially by sculpture and painting. Afterwards, he wanted to write a European novel on the ground of this artistic recognition. Therefore, the male and female characters in the novel become would-be artists or connoisseurs. They try to ascend to the artistic level, completely or partly free from domestic influence. Each surrogate is a literary persona of artist-Hawthorne is Europe. Among the characters, Donatello is the main pivot who reveals the aspects of Hawthorne's literary pilgrimage in Italy. He shows his productive tension, illustrated by the transformation of sculpture into literature and is reshaped as an artist in the process of plot. His return to Rome can be evaluated as an initiation into art from life. The other characters, Miriam, Kenyon and Hilda are different from the other New England characters in that they would participate in Donatello's aesthetic development as observers or participants. Miriam learns how to help a male would-be artist at the sacrifice of her feminine sexuality. Kenyon is accompanying Donatello's artistic pilgrimage. Hilda overcomes her longing for domesticity by absorbing artistic atmosphere in Rome. Their artistic consciousness is no less apparent than that of Dnatello. In conclusion, Hawthorne wanted to put his European experience and his artistic response into an aestheric theme, namely, The Marble Faun. The work shows Hawthorne's Fortunate Fall of aesthetic initiation and ascension.

천안시 아파트 수요추정 모형구축에 관한 연구

This study attempted to address certain elements that are measurable in order forecast the growth demand for apartments in Cheon-An area. A good forecasting method needs to include both regional condition and historical trend-based data. Accordingly, this study was conducted to analyze elements of demands for apartments and develop the model of forecasting demands for apartments by using them. The main conclusions drawn from the analysis of elements related with demands for apartment in Cheon-An area are that the expectation of apartment supplies can be estimated from the model forecasting demands of apartments.
