Purpose: The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of various factors on smartphone purchase decisions in Vietnam and to investigate the effect of involvement and country image in the process. Research design, data, and methodology: In order to achieve the research purpose, a hypothesis and a research model were developed by to validate the proposed study model. First, an exploratory factor analysis was performed to confirm reliability and validity. a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted based on the reliability and exploratory factor analysis results. Finally, by checking the discriminant validity, we empirically tested hypotheses after comparing the correlation value with the root average variance extracted. Results: As a result, there is a control effect on the influence of product characteristics, friends, and family on the purchase decision in the process of factors affecting the purchase decision. Among them, there is evidence that brand awareness, family and friends are the most powerful factors. Research shows that product features, brand awareness, pricing, social influence, and family and friends positively influence smartphone purchase decisions. Implications: This study identified the purchase decision factors of consumers in large cities of Vietn am. As a result, companies that in tend to advance to Vietnam should establish marketing strategies to heighten the brand image. Smartphones are high-priced products for consumers in Vietnam, so the products are thoroughly evaluated before purchasing them. Accordingly, product marketing tailored to the consumers in Vietnam is necessary.
A Simple Framework for Indoor Monocular SLAM

Vision-based simultaneous localization and map building using a single camera, while compelling in theory, have not until recently been considered extensive in the practical realm of the real world. In this paper, we propose a simple framework for the monocular SLAM of an indoor mobile robot using natural line features. Our focus in this paper is on presenting a novel approach for modeling the landmark before integration in monocular SLAM. We also discuss data association improvement in a particle filter approach by using the feature management scheme. In addition, we take constraints between features in the environment into account for reducing estimated errors and thereby improve performance. Our experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed SLAM algorithm in real-time.

Under the pressure of business competition and effectiveness, more and more organizations in the world are likely to apply modern software such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) which can help them to create better organizing practice, better managing capabilities of administrators, and better operations of personnel. In Vietnam, many firms are afraid to install it and the number of firms adopting this software is limited mainly due to the insufficient scientific evidence of the successful implementation of ERP. This study aims to identify and measure the factors influencing the successful implementation of ERP of firms in Vietnam. Qualitative research methodology combined with quantitative research methodology is used. The data are surveyed with 343 administrators of 45 organizations that have successfully deployed ERP in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh cities. Of these 19 were excluded from analyses due to unsatisfactory responses, and only 324 were used for statistical processing. The collected data were processed by using the SPSS software. The result of the study shows that there are six factors affecting the successful implementation of ERP of firms in Vietnam, (ranked in descending order of importance), they are top management commitment and support, business process re-engineering, user involvement, project management board, vendor support, and suitability of software and hardware.
Self-Taught Classifier of Gateways for Hybrid SLAM

<P>This paper proposes a self-taught classifier of gateways for hybrid SLAM. Gateways are detected and recognized by the self-taught classifier, which is a SVM classifier and self-taught in that its training samples are produced and labeled without user's intervention. Since the detection of gateways at the topological boundaries of an acquired metric map reduces computational complexity in partitioning the metric map into sub-maps as compared with previous hybrid SLAM approaches using spectral clustering methods, from <I>O</I>(2<I><SUP>n</SUP></I>) to <I>O</I>(<I>n</I>), where <I>n</I> is the number of sub-maps. This makes possible real time hybrid SLAM even for large-scale metric maps. We have confirmed that the self-taught classifier provides satisfactory consistency and computationally efficiency in hybrid SLAM through different experiments.</P>

The study aims to evaluate the impact of corporate social responsibility on customers’ repurchase intention in Vietnam’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. This study employs primary data surveyed from 417 Vietnamese consumers, and the sample is selected based on the willingness to participate in providing information. The results show corporate social responsibility’s positive impact on repurchase intention in the FMCG industry in the Vietnam market. There are three components of corporate social responsibility, including ethical responsibility, legal responsibility, and economic responsibility have a positive impact on repurchase intention. The economic responsibility component has the greatest effect on repurchase intention. There is not enough statistical basis for the philanthropic responsibility component of corporate social responsibility to recognize its impact on repurchase intention. The findings of this study suggest that companies dealing in the FMCG industry in Vietnam need to invest more in further developing their corporate social responsibility, it not only helps to improve their customer loyalty to businesses but also contributes to promoting the country’s economic and social development in a better and more sustainable direction.

Nd-doped BiFeO₃ materials were synthesized via a sol–gel method. The crystal structure, magnetic properties, and complex impedance spectroscopy of multiferroic Bi1-xNdxFeO₃ (BNFO) materials were investigated by Xray diffraction (XRD), Raman scattering, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and complex impedance spectroscopy. Our results show that the lattice crystal constants (a, c) and the ratio c/a of BNFO materials decreased with increasing Nd concentration. All samples exhibited weak ferromagnetism at room temperature, and the magnetization of samples was enhanced by the presence of Nd<SUP>3+</SUP> ions. There was an enhancement in the spontaneous magnetization of BFO with increasing Nd concentration, which is attributable to the collapse of the spin cycloid structure.
