        Robust Biometric-based Remote User Authentication Scheme using Smart Cards

        Li등은 최근에 생체정보기반 원격 사용자 인증기법을 제안하였다. 그들의 기법은 생체정보 검증과 스마트 카드 그리고 일방향 해쉬 함수에 기반한다. 그들은 제안한 기법이 스마트카드 획득 공격과 재전성 공격 그리고 중간자 공격에 강하다고 주장하였다. 본 논문에서는 Li등의 기법이 오프라인 패스워드 추측공격에 취약함을 보인다. 이를 위해서 공격자가 정당한 사용자의 스마트카드를 획득하고 읽을 수 있다는 가정을 제시한다. 또한, Li등의 기법의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 스마트카드를 이용한 견고한 생체 정보기반 원격 사용자 인증기법을 제안한다. Recently, Li et al. proposed a biometricsbased remote user authentication scheme using smart cards. Their scheme is based on biometrics verification, smart card and one-way hash function. They claimed that their scheme is secure against smart card stolen attack, replay attack and man-in-the-middle attack. However, this paper points out that their scheme is still vulnerable to the offline password guessing attack in the assumption that the attacker could get and read the user’s smart card. To cope with the flaw in Li et al.’s scheme, we propose a robust biometrics-based remote user authentication scheme using smart cards.

      • NFC 모바일 결제 시스템에서 Bilinear Pairing을 이용한 효율적인 인증 메커니즘

        NFC(Near Field Communication)는 10cm 이내의 거리에서 무선기기 간의 통신을 가능케 해주는 기술로 13.56 Mhz RF(Radio Frequency) 주파수 대역을 이용한 비접촉식 근거리 무선통신의 한 종류이다. 올해 출시되는 대부분의 스마트 폰에서 NFC 기능을 탑재하며, NFC기반의 모바일 결제 서비스가 가장 유망한 결제 방식으로 주목 받고 있다. 소비자는 NFC 모바일 단말기를 가지고 판매자의 POS(Point of Sale) 단말기와 근접 통신을 통해 결제를 진행하는 방식으로 다른 무선 통신 방식 (RFID, Bluetooth 등)보다 보안 취약성이 높지 않지만, 기존의 RFID 환경에서 일어날 수 있는 기술적 취약점과 비슷한 유형의 위협이 충분히 발생할 수 있으므로 유효한 보안 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문은 안전한 NFC 모바일 결제 환경을 구축하기 위한 공개키 알고리즘인 타원곡선 암호 ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem)를 적용한 Bilinear Pairing을 활용해서 효율적이고 보안성도 강력한 인증 메커니즘을 제안한다.

        Recently, Hsiang and Shih proposed a smart card based remote user authentication scheme. However, this paper point out the scheme is vulnerable to the password guessing attack. Furthermore, we propose a new remote user authentication scheme based on smart cards. Our scheme could cope with the security weaknesses in Hsiang and Shih's scheme.

        스마트카드는 편리성과 안전성의 특성으로 인해 원격 시스템 인증에 다양하게 사용된다. 카드를 사용해서 통신하는 분야에서는 스마트카드에 대한 보안과 카드 소지자의 인증이 매우 중요하다. 기존 패스워드와 스마트카드를 이용한 원격 사용자 인증 기법은 공격자에 의해서 정당한 아이디와 패스워드 쌍을 쉽게 만들 수 있게 됨으로써 위장 공격이 가능한 취약점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 카드 보안 기술의 특징을 기반으로 하여 안전하고 편리한 사용자 인증 서비스를 제공하기 위해 키 생성 알고리즘인 ID-based Bilinear Pairing 암호방식을 이용해서 스마트카드 사용자와 서버사이에 인증 스킴을 제안한다.

        Shear bond strength of zirconia to resin: The effects of specimen preparation and loading procedure

        PURPOSE. Shear bond strength (SBS) test is the most commonly used method for evaluating resin bond strength of zirconia, but SBS results vary among different studies even when evaluating the same bonding strategy. The purpose of this study was to promote standardization of the SBS test in evaluating zirconia ceramic bonding and to investigate factors that may affect the SBS value of a zirconia/resin cement/composite resin bonding specimen. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The zirconia/resin cement/composite resin bonding specimens were used to simulate loading with a shear force by the three-dimensional finite element (3D FE) modeling, in which stress distribution under uniform/non-uniform load, and different resin cement thickness and different elastic modulus of resin composite were analyzed. In vitro SBS test was also performed to validate the results of 3D FE analysis. RESULTS. The loading flat width was an important affecting factor. 3D FE analysis also showed that differences in resin cement layer thickness and resin composite would lead to the variations of stress accumulation area. The SBS test result showed that the load for preparing a SBS specimen is negatively correlated with the resin cement thickness and positively correlated with SBS values. CONCLUSION. When preparing a SBS specimen for evaluating bond performance, the load flat width, the load applied during cementation, and the different composite resins used affect the SBS results and therefore should be standardized.

        New Compound Drill Bit for Damage Reduction in Drilling CFRP

        This paper focuses on finding a suitable drill bit for drilling Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP). The drilling characteristics of the dagger drill, the double point angle drill, and the candle stick drill are studied. The results show that the side edge has poor ability to remove burrs, and the tip structure of the outer corner of the candle stick drill can greatly reduce the entry damage. However, the outer corner small tip structure of the candle stick drill cannot effectively remove the uncut fiber around θ = 0° of hole exit. The long secondary cutting edge of the dagger drill makes a small thrust force at the drilling exit stage and reduces the dropping speed of the thrust force, leading a lower impact on the laminate bottom. Then, a new tool is developed for drilling CFRP based on the advantages of the three kinds of drill bits. The drill has a long secondary cutting edge, a small tip diameter and a small tip structure of the outer corner. And its drilling characteristics are analyzed. The result shows that the new compound drill bit can effectively remove fibers and reduce thrust force at the drilling exit stage, form burr-free and small delamination hole. The drill reduces the waste of CFRP in manufacturing process since the exit damage is reduced substantially, which is in line with the concept of green manufacturing.

        Acupotomy for Lumbar disc herniation

        Background: The aim of this study was to examine whether the effects of acupotomy therapy were beneficial for the treatment of protrusion of lumbar intervertebral disc. Methods: The number of patients (n = 80) were equally assigned into treatment group and control group. Treatment group was given acupotomy therapy twice a week, and control group was given acupuncture 3 times a week, for 4 weeks. The beneficial effect and changes in score of the Japan Orthopedic Association (JOA) for low back pain were observed. Results: Among 40 cases in the treatment group, there were 25 (62.5%) with an excellent effect, 13 (32.5%) with good effect, 1 (2.5%) with a medium effect and 1 (2.5%) with poor effect, with the total experiencing an excellent/good effect of 95.0%. Among 40 cases in the control group, there were 11 (27.5%) with an excellent effect, 17 (42.5%) with good effect, 10 (25.0%) with a medium effect, and 2 (5.0%) with poor effect, with an excellent/good rate of 70.0%. The result of the rank sum test showed Z = -4.923, p < 0.05 in the comparison, indicating a significantly better outcome following acupotomy compared with acupuncture. JOA scores increased in both groups after treatment (p < 0.05), which was more significant in the acupotomy treatment group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Acupotomy therapy has a beneficial effect on protrusion of lumbar intervertebral disc.

        An Analytical Study on the Visual Innovation of the Animation <Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse>

        This study focuses on the art style research of the 3D Animation <Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse>, exploring the film’s innovation in art design. The article first analyzes how the movie skillfully blends American comics, watercolor painting style, Pollock drip painting, and ink painting, among other artistic techniques, to present a unique visual experience for the audience. By specifically dissecting the character design and scene composition in the movie, it explores the specific application of these art styles and their methods in digital image production. Ultimately, the paper emphasizes the contribution of <Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse> to 3D Animated cinema, particularly its innovation in the field of art design, as well as its inspiration and possibilities for the diversity of art styles in animated films. Overall, this study aims to provide in-depth academic insight into the field of animated film art design and to promote its development and innovation.

        Study on the Formation of the Crater and Modified Layer in EDM Titanium Alloys Based on Fluid–Solid Coupled Temperature Field Model

        Electric discharge machining (EDM) is used widely in machining titanium alloys, but the modified layer formed can weaken the mechanical properties of the parts. The present study examined the formation of craters and the evolution of the modified layer (melting layer + heat-affected layer) in RC-type EDM using a fluid–solid coupled temperature field model. This model adopts the level set method to track the liquid–solid two-phase and the driving force equation to control the recoil pressure. The results showed that the discharge energy has a significant effect on the formation of the modified layer. The formation of the modified layer showed phased characteristics with time. The variation law and formation mechanism of the modified layer are described in detail. A verification experiment showed that the diameter and depth of the crater were in good agreement with the simulation results. These results can provide an important reference for EDM to formulate the machining parameters.
