        A review of the species in the genus Synergus Hartig (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Synergini) from mainland China, with an updated key to the Eastern Palaearctic and Oriental species

        The Eastern Palaearctic and Oriental fauna of gall wasp inquilines (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae) has been histori cally understudied. Previously, ten species of Synergus Hartig (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Synergini), the most speciose genus of inquilines associated with Fagaceae galls worldwide, were known to occur in mainland China despite this region harbors a great number of potential fagaceous tree hosts. After the examination of all the Synergus specimens deposited at the Parasitic Hymenoptera Collection of the Agriculture and Forestry University of Zhejiang (ZAFU, China), we provide a revision of this genus in mainland China. Three new species (S. drouarti Pujade-Villar, sp. nov., S. ponsatiae Lobato-Vila & Pujade-Villar, sp. nov. and S. rovirae Lobato-Vila & PujadeVillar, sp. nov.) are described and illustrated. Four species (S. areolatus (Weld, 1926) comb. nov.; S. formosanus Schwéger & Melika, 2015, S. gifuensis Ashmead, 1904 and S. ishikarii Melika & Schwéger, 2015) are new records for this area. Saphonecrus reticulatus Pujade-Villar, Wang & Guo, 2014 is proposed as syn. nov. of Synergus castaneus Pujade-Villar, Bernardo & Viggiani, 2013, and Synergus changtitangi Melika & Schwéger, 2015 as syn. nov. of S. deqingensis Pujade-Villar, Wang & Chen, 2015. We provide new biological and distributional data for all the species as well as redescriptions, pictures and other corrections for those which were originally poorly characterized. Lastly, we provide an updated key to the Eastern Palaearctic and Oriental Synergus species, with a table summarizing all of them.

      • A Study on Construction and Simulation of Agricultural Machinery System Control Model

        In order to study the state-changing and running rules of agricultural machinery system, this paper establishes the control model of agricultural machinery system under the discrete-state space based on control theory, from the perspective of the complex systems and with reference to the actual conditions of agricultural production; conducts the qualitative analysis on the system model, builds the relevant simulation model of agricultural machinery system accordingly, and verifies the running of the simulation model. This control model can provide effective basis and reference for further quantitative studies on state evolution of agricultural machinery system.

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Double perovskite La<SUB>2</SUB>Fe<SUB>2-x</SUB>Co<SUB>x</SUB>O<SUB>6</SUB> was prepared and studied. Orthorhombic and trigonal structures were obtained depend on the molar ratio of Fe to Co. Fe-rich sample demonstrate ferrimagnetic properties; with increasing content of Co, trigonal structure is favored and the net magnetic moment of sample decrease gradually to zero. Our experimental results were further supported by first-principle theoretical calculations and demonstrate that La<SUB>2</SUB>Fe<SUB>2-x</SUB>Co<SUB>x</SUB>O<SUB>6</SUB> is a new high <I>T</I> <SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB> ferromagnetic semiconductor with tunable magnetic properties and is thus a promising material for spintronics devices.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Phase-pure double perovskite La2Fe2-xCoxO6 was prepared. </LI> <LI> Orthorhombic and trigonal structures were obtained depending on the ratio of Fe to Co. </LI> <LI> La2Fe2-xCoxO6 is a new high Tc ferromagnetic semiconductor with tunable magnetic properties. </LI> <LI> Theoretical ab initio calculations further support our experimental results. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Target-biased informed trees: sampling-based method for optimal motion planning in complex environments

        Aiming at the problem that the progressively optimized Rapidly-exploring Random Trees Star (RRT*) algorithm generates a large number of redundant nodes, which causes slow convergence and low search efficiency in high-dimensional and complex environments. In this paper we present Target-biased Informed Trees (TBIT*), an improved RRT* path planning algorithm based on target-biased sampling strategy and heuristic optimization strategy. The algorithm adopts a combined target bias strategy in the search phase of finding the initial path to guide the random tree to grow rapidly toward the target direction, thereby reducing the generation of redundant nodes and improving the search efficiency of the algorithm; after the initial path is searched, heuristic sampling is used to optimize the initial path instead of optimizing the random tree, which can benefit from reducing useless calculations, and improve the convergence capability of the algorithm. The experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this article changes the randomness of the algorithm to a certain extent, and the search efficiency and convergence capability in complex environments have been significantly improved, indicating that the improved algorithm is feasible and efficient.

        The Effect of Dipping Pretreatment on Ochratoxin A Accumulation in Sultanas and Currants

        The dipping pretreatment on the occurrence of ochratoxin A (OTA) in sultanas and currants was investigated. Grape samples were divided into two groups before a drying process. One group was dipped with potassium carbonate-ethyl oleate, and the other group was left without treatment (the control). OTA were detected using solid-phase extraction clean-up and a high-performance liquid chromatography fluorescence detector. Results showed that OTA content was below the limit of detection in the fresh grapes of both varieties. OTA were not detected in dried vine fruits before storage. However, a real naturally environmental storage revealed that the dipping pretreated samples were contaminated with OTA earlier and to a greater extent than the control. The OTA concentration in the treated and control samples after one-year storage was 0.22 and 0.19 μg/kg for sultanas and 0.34 and 0.21 μg/kg for currants, respectively. These results indicated that dipping pretreatment might increase the toxin contamination and safety risk.

        Purification and partial characterization of milk-clotting enzyme extracted from glutinous rice wine mash liquor

        Glutinous rice wine mash liquor is a traditional food of south of China and its ability to coagulate the milk has been proved. The aim of this work was to extract milk-clotting enzyme from glutinous rice wine mash liquor. A partial purified extract of enzyme was obtained by fractional precipitation with (NH4)2SO4. The fractions obtained by precipitation, 40-90% possessed the milk-clotting activity (MCA) (145.72 U/mg). The 40-90% (NH4)2SO4 fraction was further purified by sephadex G-100 and DEAE-sephadex A-50 with MCA (4,360±50 U/mg), which was confirmed by SDS-PAGE that showed only one band with a molecular mass of 36.0 kDa. Highest MCA was attained at 36℃. The enzyme was completely inactivated by heating for 20 min at 60℃. The MCA increased with the decreasing of milk pH from 8.0 to 5.5, and it was active at the wide range of pH 1 to 7. The metal ions Mg2+, Ca2+, Ba2+, Mn2+, Al3+, Fe2+ had a very clear function to accelerate milk coagulation whereas Na+ and K+ decelerated the activity slightly. The curd effect of the milk-clotting enzyme has primarily been studied.

        High vis-light photocatalytic property of g-C3N4 on four pollutants (RhB, MB, TC-HCl and P-Nitrophenol)

        The g-C3N4 nanosheets were synthesized by a multistage program calcination with different heating rate, which was an easy, low-cost, and quick method. The morphology and structure of samples were characterized by various techniques. The performance evaluation of the samples was tested by degrading Rhodamine B, Methylene Blue, Tetracycline Hydrochloride and P-Nitrophenol in visible light. The results show that the photodegradation properties of TP-g-C3N4 prepared by multistage program calcination are the best than others. In particular, the degradation rate of TP-g-C3N4 to Rhodamine B reached 99.6% in just 4 min. TP-g-C3N4 catalyst has excellent stability and recycling performance. According to free radical capture experiments, •O2- may be the main active species for pollutant degradation. The possible photocatalytic degradation mechanism was also discussed. Due to the high specific surface area and a narrow band gap, the TP-g-C3N4 becomes a promising photocatalyst.

        High expression of HOXC6 predicts a poor prognosis and induces proliferation and inflammation in multiple myeloma cells

        Background Multiple myeloma (MM) is a common blood system malignance accompanied by monoclonal plasma cell hyperplasia. Homeobox C6 (HOXC6) acts as an oncogene in various cancers, but its function on MM is elusive. Objective The role of HOXC6 on MM development was clarified in this study. Methods HOXC6 expression and its clinical significance were determined in the peripheral blood samples collected from forty MM patients and thirty healthy adult volunteers. The overall survival was evaluated by Kaplan-Meier analysis with the log-rank test. Cell viability, proliferation and apoptosis were measured by CCK-8, EdU assay and Flow cytometry in U266 and MM.1R cells. Tumor growth was estimated by a xenograft assay. The apoptosis of tumor tissues was evaluated using TUNEL staining. The protein level in tissues was tested by immunohistochemistry. Results The HOXC6 expression was elevated in MM and high HOXC6 level was associated with the poor overall survival of MM. Besides, the HOXC6 expression was associated with hemoglobin level and ISS stage. Furthermore, silencing HOXC6 suppressed cell proliferation, induced cell apoptosis, and restrained the secretion of inflammatory factors (TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-8) in MM cells through inactivating the NF-κB pathway. Moreover, silencing HOXC6 suppressed the tumor growth of MM, the inflammatory factors levels, and the activation of NF-κB pathway but enhanced apoptosis in vivo. Conclusion HOXC6 was elevated in MM and associated with poor survival. Knockdown of HOXC6 suppressed proliferation, inflammation and tumorigenicity of MM cells via inactivating the NF-κB pathway. HOXC6 may be a meaningful target for MM therapy.

        The Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Signal Transduction Pathways in Alternaria Species

        Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades are conserved signaling modules in the eukaryotic cells. They are involved in many major cell processes in fungi such as stress responses, vegetative growth, pathogenicity,secondary metabolism and cell wall integrity. In this review, we summarized the advances of research on the MAPK signaling pathways in Alternaria species. As major phytopathogenic fungi, Alternaria species reduce crop production. In contrast to the five MAPK pathways known in yeast, only three MAPK pathways as Fus3/Kss1-type, Hog1-type, and Slt2-type have been characterized in Alternaria. The Fus3/Kss1-type MAPK pathway participates in regulation of vegetative growth,conidiation, production of some cell-wall-degrading enzymes and pathogenicity. The Hog1-type pathway is involved in osmotic and oxidative stress, fungicides susceptibility and pathogenicity. The Slt2-type MAP kinases play an important role on maintaining cell wall integrity, pathogenicity and conidiation. Although recent advances on the MAPK pathways in Alternaria spp. reveal many important features on the pathogenicity,there are many unsolved problems regarding to the unknown MAP kinase cascade components and network among other major signal transduction. Considering the economic loss induced by Alternaria spp., more researches on the MAPK pathways will need to control the Alternaria diseases.
