A Trust Management Architecture for TLS
Xiaolei Zhang,Choong Seon Hong 한국정보과학회 2002 한국정보과학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.29 No.1A
The TLS protocol suite, which provides transport-layer security for the Internet, has been standardized in the IETF. A TLS session is an association between a client and a server, created by the TLS handshake Protocol. Sessions define a set of cryptographic security parameters, which can be shared among multiple connections. The TLS protocol, however, does not address the specific method for how to manage the existing TLS sessions on the host. This paper proposes an efficient management scheme for TLS, based on the principles of trust management.
SECULAR EVOLUTION OF SPIRAL GALAXIES
ZHANG XIAOLEI The Korean Astronomical Society 2003 Journal of The Korean Astronomical Society Vol.36 No.3
It is now a well established fact that galaxies undergo significant morphological transformation during their lifetimes, manifesting as an evolution along the Hubble sequence from the late to the early Hubble types. The physical processes commonly believed to be responsible for this observed evolution trend, i.e. the major and minor mergers, as well as gas accretion under a barred potential, though demonstrated applicability to selected types of galaxies, on the whole have failed to reproduce the most important statistical and internal properties of galaxies. The secular evolution mechanism reviewed in this paper has the potential to overcome most of the known difficulties of the existing theories to provide a natural and coherent explanation of the properties of present day as well as high-redshift galaxies.

The whitebacked planthopper Sogatella furcifera (Horváth) is an important pest of rice throughout Asia. Application of chemical insecticide is the main approach to suppress the field populations of S. furcifera. In this study, neonicotinoid insecticide resistance in field populations of S. furcifera were evaluated. The results showed that some field populations of S. furcifera had developed moderate level of resistance to imidacloprid (RR =1.1–16.4), thiamethoxam (RR=0.8–14.9), dinotefuran (RR =1.2–16.6) and acetamiprid (RR =3.3–12.2), low level of resistance to nitenpyram (RR=1.1–9.5) and clothianidin (RR =1.3–8.7) in Central China. Moreover, there were an increasing trend in neonicotinoid insecticide resistance in the period 2011–2015. The results of current study may form the basis to identify and evaluate the resistance tendency of S. furcifera against neonicotinoid insecticides, which could make effective management recommendations to avoid further development of insecticide resistance in S. furcifera.

Near-infrared (NIR) light-powered nanomotors with active motion have attracted extensive attention inthe chemo-photothermal therapy of cancer. However, there are also some limitations such as complicatedsynthesis process, low permeability of drugs and viscous physiological environment. Herein, wedeveloped a facile route to synthesize novel NIR light-powered DOX/Au-m-HTAS nanomotor based onnatural halloysite (HNTs) for active chemo-photothermal therapy. Such nanomotor exhibited NIR lightcontrolled on/off motion with a maximum speed of 64.5 lm/s. Owing to the synergetic NIR lightpoweredmotion and chemo-photothermal therapy, DOX/Au-m-HTAS nanomotor could effectivelyadhere tumor cells, leading to deeper cell penetration, higher cellular uptake, and better ablation oftumor cells. Meanwhile, DOX/Au-m-HTAS nanomotors also had enhanced ability for CT imaging of localtumor, demonstrating the enhanced anticancer efficiency. This strategy provided a new insight into thechemo-photothermal synergistic therapy of tumors.
A homological characterization of Pr\"ufer $v$-multiplication rings
Xiaolei Zhang 대한수학회 2022 대한수학회보 Vol.59 No.1
Let $R$ be a ring and $M$ an $R$-module. Then $M$ is said to be regular $w$-flat provided that the natural homomorphism $I\otimes_R M \rightarrow R\otimes_R M$ is a $w$-monomorphism for any regular ideal $I$. We distinguish regular $w$-flat modules from regular flat modules and $w$-flat modules by idealization constructions. Then we give some characterizations of total quotient rings and Pr\"ufer\ $v$-multiplication rings (\PvMR s for short) utilizing the homological properties of regular $w$-flat modules.
CHARACTERIZING S-FLAT MODULES AND S-VON NEUMANN REGULAR RINGS BY UNIFORMITY
Zhang, Xiaolei Korean Mathematical Society 2022 대한수학회보 Vol.59 No.3
Let R be a ring and S a multiplicative subset of R. An R-module T is called u-S-torsion (u-always abbreviates uniformly) provided that sT = 0 for some s ∈ S. The notion of u-S-exact sequences is also introduced from the viewpoint of uniformity. An R-module F is called u-S-flat provided that the induced sequence 0 → A ⊗R F → B ⊗R F → C ⊗R F → 0 is u-S-exact for any u-S-exact sequence 0 → A → B → C → 0. A ring R is called u-S-von Neumann regular provided there exists an element s ∈ S satisfying that for any a ∈ R there exists r ∈ R such that sα = rα2. We obtain that a ring R is a u-S-von Neumann regular ring if and only if any R-module is u-S-flat. Several properties of u-S-flat modules and u-S-von Neumann regular rings are obtained.
A NOTE ON 𝜙-PRÜFER ν-MULTIPLICATION RINGS
Zhang, Xiaolei Korean Mathematical Society 2022 대한수학회보 Vol.59 No.5
In this note, we show that a strongly 𝜙-ring R is a 𝜙-PvMR if and only if any 𝜙-torsion-free R-module is 𝜙-w-flat, if and only if any GV-torsion-free divisible R-module is nonnil-absolutely w-pure, if and only if any GV-torsion-free h-divisible R-module is nonnil-absolutely w-pure, if and only if any finitely generated nonnil ideal of R is w-projective.
On Two Versions of Cohen’s Theorem for Modules
Xiaolei Zhang,Wei Qi,김환구 경북대학교 자연과학대학 수학과 2023 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.63 No.1
Parkash and Kour obtained a new version of Cohen’s theorem for Noetherian modules, which states that a finitely generated R-module M is Noetherian if and only if for every prime ideal p of R with Ann(M) ⊆ p, there exists a finitely generated submodule N p of M such that pM ⊆ N p ⊆ M(p), where M(p) = {x ∈ M | sx ∈ pM for some s ∈ R \ p}. In this paper, we generalize the Parkash and Kour version of Cohen’s theorem for Noetherian modules to S-Noetherian modules and w-Noetherian modules.
Reliable Localization for Wireless Sensor Networks in Complex Environments
Xiaolei Liu,Yongji Ren,Xuguang Xin,Liping Zhang,Jixiang Chen 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of Control and Automation Vol.7 No.10
Although localization has been widely studied for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), the complex environments and the large network scale pose severe challenges and make it necessary to develop new reliable localization algorithms. In this paper, we propose a novel Multi-Hop Localization Algorithm for large-scale WSNs in complex environments. This work is based on the consideration that the localization process would encounter several kinds of adverse factors with different nature at the same time (e.g. anisotropic network characteristics, ranging uncertainty, link quality of multihop paths, etc.), which lead to obvious degradation of localization performance. Unlike most of the existing schemes, we transform the localization problem in complex environments into a hybrid constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) which is composed of three different kinds of constraints, i.e. spatial constraint, network situation constraint, and confidence constraint. Set-membership approach and interval analysis method have been utilized to deal with the CSP and determine the positions of sensor nodes. Simulation results show that our scheme is an effective and efficient approach to localization in large-scale WSNs.
