        HOMOGENEOUS MULTILINEAR FUNCTIONS ON HYPERGRAPH CLIQUES

        Motzkin and Straus established a close connection between the maximum clique problem and a solution (namely graph-Lagrangian) to the maximum value of a class of homogeneous quadratic multilinear functions over the standard simplex of the Euclidean space in 1965. This connection and its extensions were successfully employed in optimization to provide heuristics for the maximum clique problem in graphs. It is useful in practice if similar results hold for hypergraphs. In this paper, we develop a homogeneous multilinear function based on the structure of hypergraphs and their complement hypergraphs. Its maximum value generalizes the graph-Lagrangian. Specifically, we establish a connection between the clique number and the generalized graph-Lagrangian of 3-uniform graphs, which supports the conjecture posed in this paper.

        설시우와 강절서원

        설시우는 지방관을 지냈던 시절부터 지방 서원 관련 사무에 적극적으로 참여하였으며, 이후 연이어서 항주 숭문서원, 남경 존경서원, 석음서원에서 강의를 주관하였는데, 그 기간이 20년이나 되었다. 설시우가 書院史에 공헌한 점은 다음 세 가지가 있다. 첫째, 서원경관을 선비 양성 및 학문연마와 연관시켜 서원경관에 상징적 의미를 부여함으로써 문학지형도의 미시적 이론에 있어 일가를 이루었다. 둘째, 인재를 알아보는 안목이 있어서 평생 동안 수많은 인재를 양성하였으며, 특히 가난한 선비를 많이 뽑았는데 동남사림에 높은 명망을 갖고 있었다. 셋째, 10종의 서원 科藝總集을 편찬하고 출간하였다. 동남 명사들의 수많은 서원 과예 습작들을 수록한 이 총집들은 중요한 서원 관련 문헌으로서 사료적 가치를 지니고 있다. 薛時雨在擔任地方官員期間, 就積極參與地方書院事務;后來主講杭州崇文、南京尊經、惜陰書院, 長達二十年之久。他在書院史上的貢獻, 一是將書院景觀與造士爲文相聯系, 賦予書院景觀以象征意義, 在文學地理的微觀理論方面獨樹一幟;二是有知人之鑒, 培育人才衆多, 尤其是選拔了不少寒士, 在晩淸東南士林中享有?高的威望;三是編刊書院課藝總集達十種之多, 這些總集保存了不少東南名士的書院習作, 在書院文獻方面具有重要价値。

        Differential Expression of miR-34c and Its Predicted Target Genes in Testicular Tissue at Different Development Stages of Swine

        To verified the target genes of miR-34c, bioinformatics software was used to predict the targets of miR-34c. Three possible target genes of miR-34c related to spermatogenesis and male reproductive development: zinc finger protein 148 (ZNF148), kruppel-like factor 4 (KLF4), and platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRA) were predicted. Then, the expression of miR-34c and its target genes were detected in swine testicular tissue at different developmental stages by quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The results suggested that the expression of PDGFRA has the highest negative correlation with miR-34c. Then immunohistochemical staining was done to observe the morphology of swine testicular tissue at 2-days and 3, 4, 5-months of age, which indicated that PDGFRA was mainly expressed in the support cells near the basement membrane during the early development stages of testicular tissue, but that the expression of PDGFRA was gradually reduced in later stages. Therefore, western blot analyzed that the highest expression of PDGFRA was generated in 2-days old testicular tissues and the expression levels reduced at 3 and 4-months old, which correlated with the results of immunohistochemical staining. In conclusion, PDGFRA is a target gene of miR-34c.

        Experimental and Numerical Research on the Laser Impact Welding of Ti/SS

        The welding of Ti/SS metal foil was realized by laser impact welding. The interface morphology and mechanical properties of welding specimens were studied by systematic experiments, and the experimental phenomena were revealed by smoothed particle hydrodynamics numerical simulation. Results indicated that the plastic deformation of the composite plate and the springback of the welding spot center were small under low laser pulse energy and enlarged under high laser pulse energy. Impinging jet, interface wave, and interface cracking were found at the micro-interface of the welding specimens. Increasing the laser pulse energy resulted in the transition of the interface waveform from straight to microwave and finally to wave primarily because of the change in interfacial impact pressure and effective plastic strain. Energy dispersive spectroscopy analysis showed that the trace element diff used at the welding interface, and no intermetallic compounds were formed. SPH simulation revealed that the thickness of the high-temperature layer was related to the thickness of the diffusion layer. As the distance between the test point and welding interface increased, the hardness decreased. The maximum tensile force of the welding specimens increased with laser pulse energy. The failure mode of the interface was welding spot edge fracture failure.

      • A PRELIMINARY REPORT ON THE NEW DINOSAURIAN FAUNA FROM THE CRETACEOUS OF THE RUYANG BASIN, HENAN PROVINCE OF CENTRAL CHINA

        A new dinosaur fauna, the Ruyang Gigantic Sauropod Dinosaurian Fauna from the early Late Cretaceous of the Ruyang Basin is named. The new dinosaurian fauna is dominated by large-sized sauropod dinosaurs, companying with theropod dinosaurs, such as omithomimid, oviraptorid, spinosaurid and carcharodontosaurid dinosaurs. Two new taxa are erected, they are a oviraptorid dinosaur Luoyanggia liudianensis gen. et sp. nov., and a sauropod Xianshanosaurus shijiagouensis gen et sp. nov. The dinosaur assemblage from the Ruyang Basin indicates that the dinosaur-bearing deposits are Cenomanian in age.

        A New Fuzzy Key Generation Method Based on PHY-Layer Fingerprints in Mobile Cognitive Radio Networks

        Classical key generation is complicated to update and key distribution generally requires fixed infrastructures. In order to eliminate these restrictions researchers have focused much attention on physical-layer (PHY-layer) based key generation methods. In this paper, we present a PHY-layer fingerprints based fuzzy key generation scheme, which works to prevent primary user emulation (PUE) attacks and spectrum sensing data falsification (SSDF) attacks, with multi-node collaborative defense strategies. We also propose two algorithms, the EA algorithm and the TA algorithm, to defend against eavesdropping attacks and tampering attacks in mobile cognitive radio networks (CRNs). We give security analyses of these algorithms in both the spatial and temporal domains, and prove the upper bound of the entropy loss in theory. We present a simulation result based on a MIMO-OFDM communication system which shows that the channel response characteristics received by legitimates tend to be consistent and phase characteristics are much more robust for key generation in mobile CRNs. In addition, NIST statistical tests show that the generated key in our proposed approach is secure and reliable.
