      • Research on Protection and Inheritance Strategy of Endangered Traditional Ceramic Crafts in Southern Fujian Folklore

        Background: In recent years, China's established many institutions and introduced reform programs to protect cultural heritage. Purpose:This research analyzes the protection status and development mode of endangered traditional ceramics in southern Fujian to better protect the endangered traditional ceramic technology in southern Fujian. It further researches ceramic process protection and inheritance development strategy. Methods: The attitudes of relevant national organizations towards protecting endangered traditional crafts are analyzed in the ceramic factory areas around Chaoshan and Foshan. The Dehua white porcelain, Jingdezhen porcelain mothers, and Foshan Shiwan dolls are compared through comparative research and literature to study various methods for protecting endangered traditional crafts. Further analyses on the strategies for the protection and development of the inheritance of endangered traditional ceramic crafts in the folklore of southern Fujian are also performed. Results: This article analyzes the protection and inheritance strategies of traditional ceramic crafts endangered in southern Fujian. It summarizes the three inheritance strategies of supporting inheritance talents, improving the protection mechanism, and establishing the protection and inheritance of traditional ceramic crafts on campus. Conclusion: The study of ceramic process protection strategy can summarize three points. First, to strengthen the precision support; second, to improve the inheritance and protection mechanism; and third, to establish research on the protection and inheritance of traditional ceramic processes.

        중국 3대 도자다호 조형성에 관한 비교연구

        연구배경 도자다호는 도자기와 차(茶)문화 발전의 주요 매개체이며 중국인의 생활과 철학을 반영하는 생활필수품으로써, 현대적 감각의 도자다호 개발의 요구가 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 중국 3대 도자다호의 조형성을 비교분석하여 소비자의 선호도 파악 및 향후 개발방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구방법 문헌 연구 및 실증분석을 병행하였으며, 중국 최대 인터넷 쇼핑몰에서 2013년~2019년간의 지역별 매출액 20위까지의 자료 각 100개씩 총 300개를 수집·분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 형태는 타원형이 가장 많았고 지역별 큰 변별력이 없었는데, 이것은 지역에 상관없이 사용성과 기능적 역할 수행에 맞게 제작되기 때문이다. 둘째, 색채의 경우, 덕화는 고백자토를 사용한 백색, 경덕진은 채회, 색유, 투명유로 활용한 다양한 색채, 이싱은 무유를 이용한 붉은빛 색채의 제품을 제작하였다. 셋째, 문양의 경우, 덕화는 부분적 구도에 단순하고 문인화적인 문양, 경덕진은 다호 몸체를 채우는 만포적 구도에 정교하며 화려함, 이싱은 양각과 음각 위주의 입체적인 문양으로 표현 등을 통한 지역적 특색을 가장 많이 나타났다. 넷째, 재료는 각각 특색 있는 지역의 재료를 사용함으로써 외적으로 확연하게 구별되는 특징을 갖게 하였다. 결론 상기의 조형 요소별 특성을 종합해보면 형태는 도자다호의 기능적인 특성, 색채와 재료는 지역별 원재료의 특성, 문양은 각 지역별 원재료를 토대로 한 문화적 특성에 기반을 둔다고 볼 수 있다. 전체적으로 보면, 전통의 계승이라는 긍정적인 면이 분명히 있으나, 이는 현대 감각에 맞는 디자인 혁신이 부족하다는 반증이기도 하다. 향후 개성 있고 창의적인 도자다호를 개발하는데 본 연구가 조금이나마 도움이 되길 기대한다. Background Teapots are important media for the development of potteries and tea culture and an essential household item that reflects the life and philosophy of the Chinese people. And, there is an increasing demand for the development of teapots of modern senses. For this, the researcher conducted a comparative analysis of the forms of the three major Chinese teapots in order to identify the preference of the consumers and seek future directions for product development. Methods Theoretical research and practical analysis was carried out. 100 entries from the top Internet shopping mall of China up to 20th in the rankings of sales in each reason over the period from 2013 till 2019, totaling to 300 sets were selected as the target for the study. Results First, the majority was in an elliptical shape, and there were no significant differences among different areas. Second, Dehua was using more single-colored designs with more whites. Jingdezhen uses more colors based on plaster, colored oil, or clear oil. Yixing mainly uses unglazed making products of dominantly reddish colors. Third, Dehua used simplified, symbolic patterns, while Jingdezhen filled up the body of the pot with patterns of highly delicate and splendid designs. Yixing was mainly focusing on multi-dimensional designs including reliefs and hollow reliefs. Fourth, the three major ceramics used the unique materials of their own regions, which resulted in clearly distinguishing appearances. Conclusion Overall, while there was a certainly positive aspect of preserving the tradition, it also indicates that the innovation in design to appeal to the modern senses is not done sufficiently.

      • Research on Minnan puppet carving art in tourism cultural and creative products

        Background: Due to the homogenization of the global commodity market, tourism cultural, and creative products are gradually losing their uniqueness. This research studies puppet carving art in southern Fujian, which also faces the problem of homogenization of cultural and creative products. It digs deep into the Minnan puppet head carving art, explores cultural connotations, and finds a new market differentiation method. Purpose: This paper studies the status quo of Minnan puppet head sculpture art, tourism cultural, and creative products. It explores the historical origin of Minnan puppet head carving art and excavates artistic modeling expression. It injects deep cultural connotations into the culture and creative products. This research solves the homogenization problem by achieving differentiation in the commodity market, increasing consumers’ interest. Methods: 1) Literature review to understand the influence of homogenization trend on traditional culture art and artistic characteristics of southern Fujian puppet head sculpture art and tourism cultural and creative products. 2) Comparative study to explore the connection between the puppet head carving art of southern Fujian and tourism cultural and creative products. 3) Case study method to provide innovative inspiration for the research of Minnan puppet head sculpture art tourism cultural and creative products. Results: The design should highlight the regional characteristics of Minnan puppet carving art, present its unique characteristics through personalized design, emphasize the individuality of local culture, and give the product a unique competitive advantage in the homogenized market. Conclusion: The following conclusions can be drawn from this study: 1) Cultural integration and innovation provide a more engaging experience; 2) Establish the differentiation advantage of cultural and creative products to get rid of the homogenization problem; 3) Narrative expression combined with the puppet show elements of southern Fujian makes cultural and creative products more story-telling; 4) Balance tradition and modernity. This research provides practical strategies for promoting cultural and creative products that stand out in the homogenized market.

      • An Analysis of the "Blank Space" in Freehand Flower and Bird Painting from an Aesthetic Perspective

        Background: "Leave blank" is a unique expression technique in Chinese painting. It has the unique charm of Chinese national culture. This article analyzes the artistic "Blank Space" expression in freehand brushwork flower and bird paintings from an aesthetic perspective. In aesthetics field, artistic beauty is an essential category. It can also be seen as a study of the aesthetic relationship between humans and the objective world. The "Blank Space" in Chinese freehand flower and bird paintings is important in ancient Chinese art. Purpose: The word "Blank Space" is easily understood and is a commonly used expression technique in Chinese art. It has strong Chinese aesthetic characteristics. This article analyzes the connotation and significance of "Blank Space". It studies freehand brushwork, composition, expression, and formal beauty of “Blank Space”. It elaborates the aesthetic expression of “Blank Space” in freehand flower and bird paintings. Furthermore, it has created various artistic beauty that make people feel graceful, melodious, and melancholic, with endless aftertaste. Methods: Based on the literature, analyze the art of leaving white space in the painting from an aesthetic perspective. Understand and master the importance of leaving white space in freehand flower and bird paintings comprehensively and correctly. Results: The application of "Blank Space" in the painting reflects the aesthetic taste of Chinese painting. It is the unique charm of traditional Chinese art. The "Blank Space" artistic techniques enriches and develops the artistic style of Chinese freehand flower and bird painting. Conclusion: The artistic conception, implicit beauty, spatial sense, and rhythmic rhythm of the screen perfectly express the "blank" art of Chinese freehand brushwork of flowers and birds. Blank space art uses "Blank Space" as a carrier to render beautiful artistic conceptions with strong Chinese aesthetic characteristics. Most works combine virtual and real, bringing readers a higher aesthetic enjoyment. It expands the hierarchical layout of the space, leaving room for imagination.

        This study explores the application methods of combining Minnan lion culture with lacquer art from a lacquer art creation research perspective under the "14th Five Year Plan" cultural industry development plan. By examining the lion dance and lacquer art cultures with Minnan characteristics, this study explores how to solve the neglect of traditional culture. It promotes Minnan lion and lacquer art cultures to create a unique brand in Minnan. Objective: To use modern methods to improve people's aesthetics, enhance local cultural soft power, improve economic development, attract more people to enter the Minnan region, promote Minnan Lion Culture and lacquer art industry, improve the level of innovation in Minnan Lion Culture, and to ring positive impacts to the inheritance and promotion of lion culture and lacquer art in Minnan. Methods: Using literature review and practical methods combined with modern lacquer art creation theory for analysis. Summarize the lacquer art creation under the cultural elements of Minnan Dragon and Lion regarding their expression, humanistic value, and connotation, the artistic characteristics and market status of lacquer art, and the feasibility and necessity of combining the two. Results: Summarized the cultural origin and basic knowledge of Minnan lion culture and lacquer painting and explored the path of integrating Minnan lion culture and lacquer art. Conclusion: Analyzed the research on Minnan lion culture and lacquer art creation and integrated Minnan lion culture and lacquer art creation to complete the "Min Lion" lacquer painting creation.
