Partially Mode-dependent Asynchronous Filtering of T-S Fuzzy MSRSNSs with Parameter Uncertainty
Xia Zhou,Lulu Chen,Jun Cheng,Kaibo Shi 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.1
The issue of fuzzy filtering for Markov switching repeat scalar nonlinear systems (MSRSNSs) with parameter uncertainty is explored. With consideration of uncertainty, a more general class of MSRSNSs is inferred. By resorting to a hidden Markov model technique, the asynchronous partially mode-dependent filter is established, in which the filter modes operate asynchronously with the target plant ones. By constructing the diagonally dominanttype Lyapunov functional, sufficient conditions are derived to ensure that the filtering error MSRSNS is stochastically stable with a desired H∞ performance index. Two simulation examples are given to validate the correctness and applicability of the presented theoretical results.

Zhou, Jianrong,Zhou, Xiaojuan,Zhou, Jianjin,Jiang, Xingfen,Yang, Jianqing,Zhu, Lin,Yang, Wenqin,Yang, Tao,Xu, Hong,Xia, Yuanguang,Yang, Gui-an,Xie, Yuguang,Huang, Chaoqiang,Hu, Bitao,Sun, Zhijia,Chen, Korean Nuclear Society 2020 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.52 No.6
A novel ceramic Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) has been developed to meet the demand of high counting rate for the neutron detection which is an alternative to 3He-based detector at China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS). An experiment was performed to measure the neutron transmittance of ceramic-GEM and FR4-GEM at the small angle neutron scattering (SANS) instrument. The result showed the ceramic-GEM has higher transmittance and less self-scattering especially for cold neutrons. One single ceramic GEM could give a gain of 102-104 in the mixture gas of Ar and CO2 (90%:10%) and its energy resolution was about 27.7% by using 55Fe X ray of 5.9 keV. A prototype has been developed in order to investigate the performances of the ceramic GEM-based neutron detector. Several neutron beam tests, including detection efficiency, spatial resolution, two-dimensional imaging, and wavelength spectrum, were carried out at CSNS and China Mianyang Research Reactor (CMRR). The results show that the ceramic GEM-based neutron detector is a good candidate to measure the high intensity neutrons.

Background: Published data regarding associations between the P275A polymorphism in the macrophage scavenger receptor 1 (MSR1) gene and prostate cancer (PCa) risk are inconclusive. The aim of this study was to comprehensively evaluate the genetic risk of P275A polymorphism in MSR1 gene for PCa. Materials and Methods: A systematic literature search was carried out in Pubmed, Medline (Ovid), Embase, CBM, CNKI, Weipu, and Wanfang databases, covering all available publications (last search was performed on Apr 27, 2015). Statistical analysis was performed using Revman 5.2 and STATA 10.1 software. Results: A total of 5,017 cases and 4,869 controls in 12 case-control studies were included in this meta-analysis. When all groups were pooled, there was no evidence that the P275A polymorphism had a significant association with PCa under dominant (OR=0.93, 95%CI=0.81-1.06, and p=0.28), co-dominant (homogeneous OR=0.97, 95%CI=0.56-1.68, and p=0.92; heterogeneous OR=0.93, 95%CI=0.74-1.15, and p=0.49), recessive (OR=1.10, 95%CI=0.65-1.87, and p=0.73), over-dominant (OR=0.93, 95%CI=0.75-1.15, and p=0.50), and allelic (OR=0.95, 95%CI=0.77-1.16, and p=0.61) genetic models. For stratified analyses by ethnicity and study design, no significant associations were found in the white race, the yellow race, the black race and mixed ethnicity, and the population-based case-control (PCC) and hospital-based case-control (HCC) studies under all genetic models. Conclusions: Based on our meta-analysis, the P275A polymorphism in the MSR1 gene is unlikely to be a risk factor for PCa.

Objective : Shunt infection is a common complication while treating hydrocephalus. The antibiotic-impregnated shunt catheter (AISC) was designed to reduce shunt infection rate. A meta-analysis was conducted to study the effectiveness of AISCs in reduction of shunt infection in terms of age, follow-up time and high-risk patient population. Methods : This study reviewed literature from three databases including PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library (from 2000 to March 2019). Clinical studies from controlled trials for shunt operation were included in this analysis. A subgroup analysis was performed based on the patient's age, follow-up time and high-risk population. The fixed effect in RevMan 5.3 software (Cochrane Collaboration) was used for this meta-analysis. Results : This study included 19 controlled clinical trials including 10105 operations. The analysis demonstrated that AISC could reduce the infection rate in shunt surgery compared to standard shunt catheter (non-AISC) from 8.13% to 4.09% (odds ratio [OR], 0.48; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.40-0.58; p=0.01; I2=46%). Subgroup analysis of different age groups showed that AISC had significant antimicrobial effects in all three groups (adult, infant, and adolescent). Follow-up time analysis showed that AISC was effective in preventing early shunt infections (within 6 months after implant). AISC is more effective in high-risk population (OR, 0.24;95% CI, 0.14-0.40; p=0.60; I2=0%) than in general patient population. Conclusion : The results of meta-analysis indicated that AISC is an effective method for reducing shunt infection. We recommend that AISC should be considered for use in infants and high-risk groups. For adult patients, the choice for AISC could be determined based on the treatment cost.

S-Nitrosoglutathione reductase (GSNOR) metabolizes S-nitrosoglutathione (GSNO) and has been shown to play important roles in regulating cellular signaling and formulating host defense by modulating intracellular nitric oxide levels. The enzyme has been found in bacterial, yeast, mushroom, plant, and mammalian cells. However, to date, there is still no evidence of its occurrence in filamentous fungi. In this study, we cloned and investigated a GSNOR-like enzyme from the filamentous fungus Aspergillus nidulans. The enzyme occurred in native form as a homodimer and exhibited low thermal stability. GSNO was an ideal substrate for the enzyme. The apparent Km and kcat values were 0.55 mM and 34,100 min-1, respectively. Substrate binding sites and catalytic center amino acid residues based on those from known GSNORs were conserved in this enzyme, and the corresponding roles were verified using site-directed mutagenesis. Therefore, we demonstrated the presence of GSNOR in a filamentous fungus for the first time.

Most eukaryotic peroxiredoxins (Prxs) are readily inactivated by a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) during catalysis owing to their “GGLG” and “YF” motifs. However, such oxidative stress sensitive motifs were not found in the previously identified filamentous fungal Prxs. Additionally, the information on filamentous fungal Prxs is limited and fragmentary. Herein, we cloned and gained insight into Aspergillus nidulans Prx (An.PrxA) in the aspects of protein properties, catalysis characteristics, and especially H2O2 tolerability. Our results indicated that An.PrxA belongs to the newly defined family of typical 2-Cys Prxs with a marked characteristic that the “resolving” cysteine (CR) is invertedly located preceding the “peroxidatic” cysteine (CP) in amino acid sequences. The inverted arrangement of CR and CP can only be found among some yeast, bacterial, and filamentous fungal deduced Prxs. The most surprising characteristic of An.PrxA is its extraordinary ability to resist inactivation by extremely high concentrations of H2O2, even that approaching 600 mM. By screening the H2O2-inactivation effects on the components of Prx systems, including Trx, Trx reductase (TrxR), and Prx, we ultimately determined that it is the robust filamentous fungal TrxR rather than Trx and Prx that is responsible for the extreme H2O2 tolerence of the An.PrxA system. This is the first investigation on the effect of the electron donor partner in the H2O2 tolerability of the Prx system.
Experimental Study on Corrosion of Unstressed Steel Strand based on Metal Magnetic Memory
Runchuan Xia,Jianting Zhou,Hong Zhang,Daoliang Zhou,Zeyu Zhang 대한토목학회 2019 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.23 No.3
Aimed at the corrosion problem of the commonly used steel strand in the structure engineering, the Metal Magnetic Memory (MMM) was adopted as the non-destructive detection method in this paper. Firstly, based on the magnetic dipole model, the theoretical equations of the Self-Magnetic Flux Leakage (SMFL) for the trapezoidal corrosion section were derived, and the trend of the SMFL was depicted by the software of MATLAB. Then, the experiment of the corrosion detection for the unstressed steel strand based on the MMM was carried out. Ultimately, combined with the above theoretical model, the experimental data were analyzed. The results show that the corrosion of steel material can be relatively precisely calculated by the Faraday's first law of electrolysis. Via the horizontal scanning, the length of the corrosion region can be effectively obtained by the intersections of the x-Bx curves, and the theoretical model is verified. And via the vertical scanning, the inverse point x-z curve presents an inverted U-shape for the corroded steel strand and becomes a new means to determine the range of the corrosion areas. The findings have extensive prospectsfor the non-destructive detection in civil engineering.

Methyl acrylate connects covalently with alkylpyridinium bromide to build N-alkyl-3-(2-methox-ycarbonyl-vinyl)pyridinium bromide (MPA-n, n = 8–14). MPA-n inhibited X70 steel from corrosion in5 M HCl with inhibition efficiency of 98% and the inhibition capacity was in the order of MPA-14 > MPA-12 > MPA-10 > MPA-8. Quantum chemical calculation unveiled that MPA-n adsorbed on iron surface byO atom in MA moiety offering electrons to d orbital of iron and by p* orbital of pyridinium acceptingelectrons from iron, and MPA-n with longer alkylchain possessed higher EHOMO, lower DE, largermolecular volume and dipole moment, all suggesting the same corrosion inhibition order as that inexperiments
Balloon dilation of epidermolysis bullosa-related esophageal strictures: A report of two cases
Wei-Zhong Zhou,Jing-Guo Xia,Zheng-Qiang Yang,Chun-Gao Zhou,Lin-Bo Zhao,Sheng Liu,Hai Bin Shi 소화기인터벤션의학회 2018 Gastrointestinal Intervention Vol.7 No.3
Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a very rare inherited disease featured with skin blistering resulting from minor trauma. Sometimes the esophageal mucosa could also be involved, which leads to esophageal strictures. Here we report two cases of EB-related esophageal strictures who were successfully treated with esophageal balloon dilations. The two cases with EB had severe dysphagia. Clinical examination showed signs of malnutrition, skin blisters and loss of toenails due to EB. They underwent careful fluoroscopic balloon dilation with 10- and 16-mm-sized balloon catheters, respectively. They could ingest soft and some solid foods after the procedure and maintained during the 20 months and 16 months follow-up periods.
