This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of the additions at the level of 0(C), 1(T_1), 2(T_2) and 3%(T_3) of Fowl Gizzard Mucouse Membrane Powder in the formula feed on the average day at first laying and egg quality with a total of 40 pieces laying hens for 4 treatments during the experimental period of 84 days from Feb.1, 1982 to April 25, the same year at the brooding laboratory, Dept. of Animal Science, Jin Ju Agricultural and Forestry Junior Technical College. The average obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The average day at first laying day was long in the order of T_1(158.8±8.30), T_2(159.9±10.13), T_3(162.6±3.53) and C(164.3±7.04) and the average weight at first laying(kg), heavy in the order of T_1(2.10±0.16), T_2(2.11±0.19), T_2(2.13±0.08) and C(2.27±2.25)(P>0.05). The egg weight at first laying(g) was heavy in the order of T_2(47.5±5.09), T_3(48.15±4.13), T_1(48.9±4.93) and C(51.99±2.13)(P>0.05) 2. The average egg weight(g) was heavy in the order of C(59.66±2.06), T_1(59.74±2.56), T_2(60.70±5.23) and T_3(62.64±3.67) and the egg shell, thickness in the order of T_3(0.362±0.036), C(0.370±0.038), T_1(0.378±0.022) and T_2(0.382±0.034)(P>0.05). The yolk and albumen weight(g) was heavy in T_2(18.20±1.57), C(18.35±.95), T_3(18.60±0.97) and T_2(18.92±1.05), T_1(33.61±1.94), C(34.32±1.65), T_2(35.37±3.77) and T_3(36.64±2.62) in those order(P>0.05).
A statistical analysis method for estimating groundwater contaminant concentration

A practical estimation method for groundwater con- taminant concentration is introduced. Using geostatistical tech- niques and symmetry, experimental variograms show significant improved correlation compared with those from conventional tech- niques.Numrical experiments are performed using a field data set.

The purpose of this paper is to provide information on planting construction for healthy plant growth. To achieve this purpose, this study analyzed the planting type, planting density, withering rate, soil characteristics, and cambium electrical resistance (CER) of withered trees in an apartment complex with a high withering rate. The major plant groups examined consisted of native broad-leaved tree species (39.3%), native narrow-leaved tree species (24.2%), and native broad-leaved- exotic narrow-leaved tree species (16.4%). The planting density of the green area, where trees were planted from 0.0 to 0.3 trees per unit area, was measured as 98.4%. Withered trees were found in 19 of the 20 planted species, and the withering rate was 41.8% (610 withered/1,461 planted). Withering rates for tree species were measured as follows: Sophora japonica and Salix babylonica (100.0%), Magmolia denudata (84.3%), Lindera obtusiloba (74.7%), cornus kousa (69.3%), acer triflorum (69.2%), diospyros kaki (66.7%), Prunus yedoensis (62.8%), Acer palmatum (52.6%), Prunus armeniaca (51.1%), Chaenomeles sinensis (43.7%), Ginkgo biloba (40.9%), Zelkova serrata (31.0%), Cornus officinalis (28.6%), Taxus cuspidata (25.6%), Pinus densiflora (21.4%), Pinus parviflora (15.2%), Pinus strobus (14.6%), and Abies holophylla (10.3%). Soil chemical analyses for 18 samples revealed that as the withering rate increased, the following occurred: (a) the ratio of silt and clay in soil increased; (b) the soil pH, organic matter rate, nitrogen, available phosphorus, and cation exchange capacity (CEC) in samples were graded as “inadequate,” based on the plant grading evaluation; and (c) the NaCl and cation exchange capacity were evaluated as “somewhat satisfactory.” The measurement of CER for withering rate shows electrical resistance for higher withering rate are higher, which could predict that a tree will not grow well.

Let X and Y be vector spaces. In this paper we prove that a mapping f : X ! Y satis¯es the following functional equa- tion X1·k<l·n(f(xk + xl) + f(xk ¡ xl)) ¡ 2(n ¡ 1)Xni=1f(xi) = 0 if and only if the mapping f is quadratic. In addition we investi-gate the generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability problem for the functional equation.

We observed clinical features of 36 neonatal hypoglycemic patients who was admitted to the neonatal cere unit in the pediatric department of Tae Jeon Eul Ji Hospital during the period from April 1994 to February 1995. The result are as follows : 1) The incidence of neonatal hypoglycemia was 1.2%. Male to female ratio were 1:1.12. 2) The most frequent cause of neonatal hypoglycemia was LGA(large for gestational age) (50%) and SGA(small for gestational age)(19%), and followed by LBW(lower birth weight)(5.5%), prematurity(5.5%), sepsis(5.5%), birth asphysia(5.5%), gestational DM(3%), polycythemia(3%), unknown(3%) in order of frequency. 3) The result of EEG finding was normal (41%) and abnormal(59%). In abnormal EEG finding, mild(31.3%), mild to moderate(21.9%), moderate(3.1%) and moderate to markedly abnormal EEG(3.1%) were detected. 4) The mean serum level of hypoglycemic neonate was 24.25±7.64mg/dL in glucose, 2.75±4.69µg/dL, 39.43±24.21 1µU/ml, respectively. 5) Brain sonographic findings were normal(83.2%), mild brain swalling(5.6%), left ventri-cular leukomalasia(2.8%) and mild left ventricular dilatation(2.8%). 6) The finding of AEP(auditory evorked potential) was normal(95.4%) except 1 case(4.6%).

We establish the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of the Pexiderized mixed type quadratic equation f1(x + y + z) + f2(x ¡ y) + f3(x ¡ z) ¡ f4(x ¡ y ¡ z) ¡ f5(x + y) ¡ f6(x + z) = 0 in the spirit of D. H. Hyers, S. M. Ulam and Th. M. Rassias.
