        Animal and human studies indicated that inadequate diet for a prolonged period during pregnancy could injure mother, child, or both. In order to prevent this problem, maternal nutyitional status during pregnancy is very important and the evaluation of nutrition during pregnancy have been preceded by many authors in another countries. In Korea, nutrient intake studies of the pregnant women and nutrition surveys in adult by biochemical method have been performed, but there are no data nutrition surveys of Korean pregnant women have been made by biochemical method. In this regard, an exact biochemical titer of the nutrients and the degree of nutrient deficits in Korean pregnant women are needed. In this study, the mean titer of some nutrients and the degree of nutrient deficits by biochemical method in Korean pregnant women were assessed. The objected materials were consisted of 30 cases which had visited the departmant of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Chung Ang University Hospital for antenatal care(32wk-40wk) from March, 1981 to June, 1981. The cases with twin pregnancy, and the cases complicated with materal chronic wasting disease, diabetes, hydroamniosis, hypertensive disorder in pregnancy were excluded in this study. The results were as follows: 1. Mean titer of 6 hours urine execretion of thiamine, riboflavin and N'-methylniacinamide in Korean pregnant women was 44㎍, 466㎍, and 2.33㎎. 2. Mean titer of serum vitamin A, carotene, vitamin C, total protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron and total lipid was 48.1㎍, 154.7㎍, 0.8㎎, 7.0g, 9.8㎎ 3.5㎎, 93㎍, and 578㎎. 3. Percentage of nutrient deficits in Korean pregnant women based on the mean titer of Korean adults was as follow; thiamine-20%, N'-methylniacinamide-7%, total protein-5%, calcuim13%, iron-19%. 4. No cases were deficient in riboflavin, carotene, phosphorus, total lipid and the mean titer of riboflavin and carotene in Korean pregnant women were high compared with thw mean titer of Korean adults.

        The window in architecture has a mysterious role connecting the indoor and outdoor world and also an interaction. this study investigates the functions of the past and present windows and its functions which will be required in future and aims a t seeking a planning direction of desirable window by integrating the understanding of window plan in outdoor space of building and new design techniques. The origin of window and its developmental process are expressed primarily by internal functions and it has been discussed from the external viewpoint with the development of structure, materials and social and cultural aesthetic sense. Accordingly it describes the history and place of windows to define the functions of windows and Chapter 2 states the forms, functions and treatments of window opening part according to the times. Chapter 3 cites the cases of the prototypes of forms shown in the outside of building as the functional and design elements windows in building. Chapter 4 suggests the positive cases of window prototype which produces the outdoor space of modern architecture and examines the correlation of it to the various elements according to the objective methods and order on the basis of SD method. Consequently, the windows in building should be planned by considering the following: 1. The window must be faithful to its original purposes. 2. It should be based on a great design because it is an important part which shows the appearance of building in urban area. 3. As today's buildings are large-scaled and high storied and also have unique characteristics, the development of construction technique and the production of good materials and products should be made. 4. The various general factors of windows should be analyzed and considered in planning windows as well as its design and technical sides.

      • 茂朱 南大川 上流水系 汚染이 本流의 水質에 미치는 影響에 關한 硏究

        This study was investigated for the pollution load of water quality in the basin of Wondangchon. Total pollution load was measured that BOD was 683.6 ㎏/day, SS was 1,436.184 ㎏/day, T-N was 237.244 ㎏/day, and T-P was 62.078 ㎏/day respectively inthere. Furthermore, it was estimated that BOD is 1,056.863 ㎏/day, SS is 1,840.657 ㎏/day, T-N is 299,922 ㎏/day, and T-P is 74.154 ㎏/day respectively in 2006 year. In case of BOD loading, that by population accounted for 63% of all BOD loading of that, 57% was discharged in M-4 drainage area. However, since tourists have been increasing gradually, that by population was estimated to be analogous to that by tourists in 2006 year. In case of SS loading, that by livestock was bigger than that by population by holding for 49% of all SS loading, and that by tourists was 9.8% now, however, ratio of that by tourists was estimated to be increased up to 25.8% in 2006 year. In case of T-N loading, that from wastewater treatment plant located in M-1 drainage area was the biggest by accounting for 56.2%. In case of T-P loading, that by livestock discharged form M-4 drainage area accounted for 44.3% of all T-P loading, and ratio of both of that by tourists and that from wastewater treatment plant gradually was estimated to be increased From above results, showing yearly change in pollution load of each water quality items is estimated to be increased continuously in every items, and in the influence of the pollution load of each drainage area upon Muju Namdaechon, M-4 drainage area was the biggest by accounting for 45% of total pollution load, and nest was ordered to M-1, M-2, M-3 and polltion load from wastewater treatment plant. The water quality of Namdaechon in Muju influenced by the study area was in the result of BOD 17.7%, SS 13.0%, T-N 28.2% and T-P 22.9%.

        Adenosine and Purine Nucleosides Prevent the Disruption of Mitochondrial Transmembrane Potential by Peroxynitrite in Rat Primary Astrocytes

        Previously, we have shown that astrocytes deprived of glucose became highly vulnerable to peroxynitrite, and adenosine and its metabolites attenuated the gliotoxicity via the preservation of cellular ATP level. Here, we found that adenosine and related metabolites prevented the disruption of mitochondrial transmembrane potential (MTP) in glucose-deprived rat primary astrocytes exposed to 3-morpholinosydnonimine (SIN-1), a peroxynitrite releasing agent. Exposure to glucose deprivation and SIN-1(2h) significantly disrupted MTP in astrocytes, and adenosine prevented it in dose-dependent manner with an $EC_{50}\;of\;5.08{\mu}M$. Adenosine also partially prevented the cell death by myxothiazol, a well-known inhibitor of mitochondrial respiration. Blockade of adenosine deamination or intracellular transport with erythro-9-(-hydroxy-3-nonyl)adenosine (EHNA) or S-(4-nitrobenzyl)-6-thioinosine (NBTI), respectively, completely reversed the protective effect of adenosine. Other purine nucleos(t)ides including inosine, guanosine, ATP, ADP, AMP, ITP, and GTP also showed similar protective effects. This study indicates that adenosine and related purine nucleos(t)ides may protect astrocytes from peroxynitrite-induced mitochondrial dysfunction.

        정상 임신후반기 IGF - I / SMC 와 신생아 성장에 관한 연구

        N/A The polypeptide hormones of the somatemedin (SM) family have been proposed to promote growth both in pre and postnatally. The two main farm of samatomedin in serum of adults are insulin-like growth factor 1, also termed SMC and IGF-II. IGF-I activity raises in the late pegnancy, which suggest a potential effect on fetal development. The aim of the present study was to determine maternal IGF-I and placenta IGF-I levels in 12 womens with late pregnancy end evaluate the relationship of these level to the growth percentile of their infant. The result were as follow: 1) plasma levels of IGF-I/SMC in late pregnancy were signficantly higher than age mached control. (337±127ng/ml VS 232±15ng/ml, p<0.005). 2) The maternal levels of IGF-I/SMC (337±127ng/ml) were significantly greater than those in the paired newborn cord artery (84±40ng/ml) or cord vein (100±46ng/ml). 3) The maternal levels of IGF-I/SMC were not correlated with cord vein IGF-I/SMC r=18 and cord artery IGF-I/SMC r=0.16 (p>0.05). 4) The cord vein IGF-I/SMC levels were positively correlated with cord artery IGF-I/SMC levels r=0.76 (p<0.005). 5) There was an increase in the percentile of birth weight and length with increasing maternal serum 1GF-1/SMC levels. The corresponding correlation coefficients in weight and length percentile with maternal serum IGF-l/SMC were 0.44 (p<0.005) and 0.65 (p<0.005), respectively. These result suggest that increased IGF-I/SMC levels in late pregnancy may causally be related to intrauterine fetal growth.

        새만금 지역의 여가스포츠 활성화를 위한 클러스터 구축 인식조사

        The purpose of this study is to analyze a recognition survey of cluster establishment for leisure sports activation in Saemangeum area. To this purpose by the help of the in-depth interviews with leisure sports policy expert(5) and professors(4), and leisure sports professionals of Saemangeum area(12), a pre-examination on the leisure sports cluster of Saemangeum area along with a semi-structured open survey of the Delphi investigation has been prepared. The Delphi professional investigation has been put two trials to analyze the leisure sports Activation in Saemangeum Area. The data resulting from the investigation has been revised, and opinions have been collected using five-point (re-cut) scale. In conclusion. The results of the investigation recommend four policies and twenty-five pertinent specifics on the Leisure Sports Activation in Saemangeum Area as illustrated below: First, the recognition survey of cluster establishment for leisure sports activation in Saemangeum area has been recognized the four type(leisure sports facilities manufacture, infra system for domiciliation basis facilities, formation for communal society, security of competitive power). Second, the Saemangeum area are leisure sports facilities manufacture, the first importance of manufacture in the variety Leisure Sports movement facilities has been recognized. Third, the Saemangeum area are infra system for domiciliation basis facilities, the first importance of comfortableness and very stabilization in Saemangeum area has been recognized. Fourth, the Saemangeum area are formation for communal society, the first importance that maintenance of variety mutual has been recognized. Final, the Saemangeum area are security of competitive power, the first importance that conversion of an ordinance system and policy-making has been recognized.
