중국 중소기업 자본시장의 발전과 우리나라에 대한 시사점

        황원일 ( Hwang Wonil ),구기보 ( Ku Kibo ) 한중사회과학학회 2013 한중사회과학연구 Vol.11 No.4

Chinese capital market includes Mainboard market, Small and Medium Enterprises Board, Growth Enterprises Market Board, and ‘National Equities Exchange and Quotations’. Mainboard market holds the lead in the securities market, but SME-related boards are on the rapid growth. What implications do the growth of SME-related boards give Korean enterprises in China and Korea New EXchange(KONEX)? First, Korean enterprises in China came to get various financing routes. Compared with mainboard market, the listing procedures of Small and Medium Enterprises Board and Growth Enterprises Market Board are relatively not strict. Therefore, the enterprises that are not eligible for Mainboard market can also go public on the Small and Medium Enterprises Board or Growth Enterprises Market Board. Second, it is possible that Korean securities companies let them go public on the KOSPI or KOSDAQ after they select companies that are listed on Small and Medium Enterprises Board or Growth Enterprises Market Board. Third, Korea can draw the implications that help vitalize KONEX by analyzing the knowhow of the operation of Small and Medium Enterprises Board. Finally, it is necessary that Korea should build up off-board market, like National Equities Exchange and Quotations in Beijing.

전자상거래 웹사이트의 인지 신뢰성에 영향을 미치는 디자인 요인들

        황원일(Hwang Wonil) 한국전자거래학회 2008 한국전자거래학회지 Vol.13 No.3

Customer’s trust is one of major competitiveness sources along with price in Internet Web-based B2C e-commerce business. In general, trust is defined as the attitude that is established by a trustor when trustworthiness exists in a trustee and is perceived by a trustor. Designing e-commerce websites is important in that e-commerce website is understood as a means of constructing perceived trustworthiness and delivering it to customers. In this study 50 participants were interviewed and total of 831 participants responded to the survey questionnaire to investigate design factors influencing the perceived trustworthiness in e-commerce websites. Nine design factors were derived as the perceived trustworthiness-related design factors, and only six out of nine design factors were found as having significant effects on the perceived trustworthiness of e-commerce websites. In addition, the significant design factors were different according to gender and ages of e-commerce customers.

Bayesian analysis of longitudinal traits in the Korea Association Resource (KARE) cohort

        Chung, Wonil,Hwang, Hyunji,Park, Taesung Korea Genome Organization 2022 Genomics & informatics Vol.20 No.2

Various methodologies for the genetic analysis of longitudinal data have been proposed and applied to data from large-scale genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with traits of interest and to detect SNP-time interactions. We recently proposed a grid-based Bayesian mixed model for longitudinal genetic data and showed that our Bayesian method increased the statistical power compared to the corresponding univariate method and well detected SNP-time interactions. In this paper, we further analyze longitudinal obesity-related traits such as body mass index, hip circumference, waist circumference, and waist-hip ratio from Korea Association Resource data to evaluate the proposed Bayesian method. We first conducted GWAS analyses of cross-sectional traits and combined the results of GWAS analyses through a meta-analysis based on a trajectory model and a random-effects model. We then applied our Bayesian method to a subset of SNPs selected by meta-analysis to further discover SNPs associated with traits of interest and SNP-time interactions. The proposed Bayesian method identified several novel SNPs associated with longitudinal obesity-related traits, and almost 25% of the identified SNPs had significant p-values for SNP-time interactions.

Universal monoclonal antibody-based influenza hemagglutinin quantitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay

        Chae, Wonil,Kim, Paul,Hwang, Beom Jeung,Seong, Baik Lin Elsevier 2019 Vaccine Vol.37 No.11

Abstract

Seasonal and pandemic influenza infections remain a serious public health concern. Many health authorities recommend annual vaccination as the most effective way to control influenza infection. Accordingly, regulatory guidelines ask vaccine manufacturers to determine vaccine potency at the time of release and throughout shelf-life to ensure vaccine quality. The potency of inactivated influenza vaccine is related to the quantity of hemagglutinin (HA). Since 1970s, single radial immunodiffusion (SRID) assay has been standardly used for the quantitation of HA in influenza vaccine. However, SRID is labor-intensive, inaccurate, and requires standard reference reagents that should be updated annually. Therefore, there have been extensive efforts to develop alternative potency assays. In this study, we developed and tested a new HA quantitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using a universal monoclonal antibody that can bind to HAs from various subtypes in group 1 influenza A virus (IAV). We analyzed the conserved stalk domain of HA via a library approach to design a consensus HA antigen for group 1 IAV. The antigens were expressed as a soluble form in E. coli and were purified by Ni-affinity chromatography. When tested with variety of HAs from IAVs or influenza B viruses (IBVs), the mAbs exhibited specific binding to group 1 HAs, with potential exception to H9 subtype. Among various conditions of pH, urea, and reducing agents, pretreatment of HA at low pH exposing the conserved stalk domain was crucially important for optimal ELISA performance. Calibration curves for various HAs were generated to determine accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, and linear dynamic range. The ELISA method shows high sensitivity and accuracy compared with the SRID assay. The HA group specific universal mAbs against the consensus stalk domain of HA are conducive to establishing an ELISA-based standard procedure for the quantitation of HA antigens for annual vaccination against influenza infection.

Highlights

We developed a novel HA quantitative ELISA as an alternative for SRID.

The ELISA uses broadly reactive group-specific universal mAbs.

The assay is less time-consuming than the SRID assay.

The assay has good accuracy, specificity, sensitivity and reproducibility.

The assay performs better than SRID in terms of accuracy and sensitivity.

      • Emotional Analysis of Human Motion for the Silver Robots

        Euijung Yang,Wonil Hwang,Taezoon Park,Jihong Hwang 대한인간공학회 2011 대한인간공학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2011 No.5

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the preferred human motions and their physical characteristics to design silver robots for the elderly. Background: In the aging society, special cares for the elderly is needed these days. One of the alternatives for caring the elderly is the silver robot. Silver robots' appearance, speech, and haptic elements are actively studied for improving the interaction with the elderly. However there are few studies regarding the robot's motions. Proper motions of silver robots could be designed through investigating the human motions preferred by elderly. Method: Two-phased empirical study was conducted in order to investigate human motions preferred by the elderly. In the first phase, four representative human motions, such as 'greeting', 'I don't know', 'positive answer', and 'giving', were captured through 28 body makers and video recording. 10 young (5 males, 5 females) and 6 elderly (3 males, 3 females) people participated in the motion capture process. In the second phase, the communication efficiency, emotion, and satisfaction of the human motions recorded in the first phase were measured by the questionnaire and 30 elderly people participated. Results: In terms of communication efficiency and satisfaction, female motions were preferred and the elderly motion for 'positive answer' behavior was preferred, whereas the young motions were preferred for the other 3 behaviors. As for the emotion, female motions and young motions were preferred in terms of 'friendliness'. Conclusion: Silver robots need to be designed reflecting the characteristics of human motions preferred by the elderly. Specifically female motions characterized by torso and shoulder motions, and young motions characterized by rapid and big motions need to be considered for the silver robots' design.
