A Novel Resource Scheduling Scheme for CoMP Systems

( Wen`an Zhou ),( Jianlong Liu ),( Yiyu Zhang ),( Chengyi Yang ),( Xuhui Yang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.2

Coordinated multiple points transmission and reception (CoMP) technology is used to mitigate the inter-cell interference, and increase cell average user normalized throughput and cell edge user normalized throughput. There are two kinds of radio resource schedule strategies in LTE-A/5G CoMP system, and they are called centralized scheduling strategy and distributed scheduling strategy. The regional centralized scheduling cannot solve interference of inter-region, and the distributed scheduling leads to worse efficiency in the utilize of resources. In this paper, a novel distributed scheduling scheme named 9-Cell alternate authorization (9-CAA) is proposed. In our scheme, time-domain resources are divided orthogonally by coloring theory for inter-region cooperation in 9-Cell scenario [6]. Then, we provide a formula based on 0-1 integer programming to get chromatic number in 9-CAA. Moreover, a feasible optimal chromatic number search algorithm named CNS-9CAA is proposed. In addition, this scheme is expanded to 3-Cell scenario, and name it 3-Cell alternate authorization (3-CAA). At last, simulation results indicate that 9/3-CAA scheme exceed All CU CoMP, 9/3C CU CoMP and DLC resource scheduling scheme in cell average user normalized throughput. Especially, compared with the non-CoMP scheme as a benchmark, the 9-CAA and 3-CAA have improved the edge user normalized throughput by 17.2% and 13.0% respectively.

Investigation of Quench Sensitivity and Microstructure Evolution During Isothermal Treatment in 2195 Al–Li Alloy

        Zhiwu Zhang,Youping Yi,Wen You,Shiquan Huang,Yonglin Guo,Hailin He 대한금속·재료학회 2022 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.28 No.6

To investigate the quenching sensitivity of the 2195 Al–Li alloy rolled sheet and guide the design of the quenching process, the time–temperature-property (TTP) curves of this material were researched through interrupted quenching experiments. The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) were used to characterize theevolution of precipitates during isothermal treatment. The results of this essay demonstrated that the nose temperature of 2195Al–Li alloy is around 370 °C and the temperature range of quenching sensitivity is 340 °C to 400 °C. The microstructureobservation revealed that the T1particles precipitate and grow rapidly at the temperature from 340 to 400 °C, which is dueto the high nucleation rate of phase and fast solute diffusion kinetics, especially at the nose temperature. The needle-shapedθ′/θ″ and T1particles grow up quickly as the isothermal preservation time prolonged, leading to the decrease of the supersaturatedsolid solution of the matrix. This will reduce the number of the age-induced precipitate and weaken the subsequentage hardening effect. Therefore, the rate of cooling should be increased in the quenching sensitivity range (340–400 °C) toinhibit the precipitation of the second phase and obtain excellent mechanical properties. While in other temperature ranges, the cooling rate should be decreased appropriately to reduce residual stress. The appropriate average cooling rate is recommendedto be around 13 °C s−1 at the temperature from 340 to 400 °C.

        Zhang, Li-Wen,Xiao, Ru-Cheng,Sun, Bin,Jiang, Yang,Zhang, Xue-Yi,Zhuang, Dong-Li,Zhou, Yun-Gang,Tu, Xue Techno-Press 2013 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.47 No.2

A study on economic performances of consecutive multi-span suspension bridges is carried out. In this part of the study, material amount and structural cost estimation formulas of the bridges is derived based on the structural ultimate carrying capacity. The bridge cost includes the part of superstructure and the part of substructure. Three types of bridge foundations, bored piles, concrete caissons and floating foundations, are considered in substructure. These formulas are to be used for the parametric study of the bridge cost in order to define its more economical layout under different conditions in the part two of the study.

      • ABO Blood Group, Epstein-Barr virus Infection and Prognosis of Patients with Non-metastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

        Zhang, Ya-Xiong,Kang, Shi-Yang,Chen, Gang,Fang, Wen-Feng,Wu, Xuan,You, Hua-Jing,He, Da-Cheng,Cao, Ya-Lin,Liang, Wen-Hua,Zhang, Li Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.17

Background: A prior study showed blood type A/AB to be associated with an increased risk of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) compared to subjects with blood type O. However, the relationship between ABO blood groups and prognosis of NPC patients is still questionable. In addition, whether Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection is associated with prognosis of NPC patients with different ABO blood groups is unclear. Materials and Methods: We conducted univariate and multivariable Cox regression analyses based on a consecutive cohort of 1,601 patients to investigate the above issues. Results: There was no significant difference in overall survival (OS) between different ABO blood groups (p=0.629), neither between A vs. non-A blood groups (p=0.895) nor AB vs. non-AB blood group (p=0.309) in univariate analyses and after adjusting for other factors. Interaction tests revealed that high immunoglobulin A against Epstein-Barr virus viral capsid antigen (VcA-IgA) level was associated with a favorable prognosis in male patients with UICC stage II disease who had an A blood type (p=0.008), compared with those with non-A blood type. In addition, male patients with an A blood group with a high blood lymphocyte level showeda tendency towards better survival in UICC stage III (p=0.096). Conclusions: ABO blood group status is not associated with the prognosis of patients with NPC. Additionally, blood group A male NPC patients with high VcA-IgA level or high blood lymphocyte counts might be correlated with a favorable prognosis in UICC stage II or III, respectively.

      • Fast Wide-bandgap Device Overcurrent Protection with Direct Current Measurement

        Wen Zhang,Fred Wang,Zheyu Zhang,Bernhard Holzinger 전력전자학회 2019 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2019 No.5

A fast and reliable overcurrent protection scheme is crucial for the converter reliability. It is also critical for double pulse test stations where newer devices or even engineering samples are tested, and device failures can be costly. A fast overcurrent protection scheme using the direct current measurement in the double pulse test is demonstrated and 7.55 ns fault response delay time is achieved. The total fault clearing time is determined by the fault signal propagation and device switching speed. Around 100 ns and 60 ns fault clearing time is achieved for SiC and GaN devices, respectively. The much faster protection can potentially simplify the gate driver design and reduce the energy rating of the coaxial shunt resistor. Since the overcurrent detection is directly attached to the current measurement, its impact on the measurement bandwidth is also discussed.

Enhancing Astaxanthin Accumulation in Haematococcus pluvialis by Coupled Light Intensity and Nitrogen Starvation in Column Photobioreactors

        ( Wen-wen Zhang ),( Xue-fei Zhou ),( Ya-lei Zhang ),( Peng-fei Cheng ),( Rui Ma ),( Wen-long Cheng ),( Hua-qiang Chu ) 한국미생물 · 생명공학회 2018 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.28 No.12

Natural astaxanthin mainly derives from a microalgae producer, Haematococcus pluvialis. The induction of nitrogen starvation and high light intensity is particularly significant for boosting astaxanthin production. However, the different responses to light intensity and nitrogen starvation needed to be analyzed for biomass growth and astaxanthin accumulation. The results showed that the highest level of astaxanthin production was achieved in nitrogen starvation, and was 1.64 times higher than the control group at 11 days. With regard to the optimization of light intensity utilization, it was at 200 μmo/m2/s under nitrogen starvation that the highest astaxanthin productivity per light intensity was achieved. In addition, both high light intensity and a nitrogen source had significant effects on multiple indicators. For example, high light intensity had a greater significant effect than a nitrogen source on biomass dry weight, astaxanthin yield and astaxanthin productivity; in contrast, nitrogen starvation was more beneficial for enhancing astaxanthin content per dry weight biomass. The data indicate that high light intensity synergizes with nitrogen starvation to stimulate the biosynthesis of astaxanthin.

Analytical Solutions for the Inelastic Lateral-Torsional Buckling of I-Beams Under Pure Bending via Plate-Beam Theory

        Wen-Fu Zhang,Leroy Gardner,M. Ahmer Wadee,Minghao Zhang 한국강구조학회 2018 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.18 No.4

The Wagner coeffi cient is a key parameter used to describe the inelastic lateral-torsional buckling (LTB) behaviour of the I-beam, since even for a doubly-symmetric I-section with residual stress, it becomes a monosymmetric I-section due to the characteristics of the non-symmetrical distribution of plastic regions. However, so far no theoretical derivation on the energy equation and Wagner’s coeffi cient have been presented due to the limitation of Vlasov’s buckling theory. In order to simplify the nonlinear analysis and calculation, this paper presents a simplifi ed mechanical model and an analytical solution for doubly-symmetric I-beams under pure bending, in which residual stresses and yielding are taken into account. According to the plate-beam theory proposed by the lead author, the energy equation for the inelastic LTB of an I-beam is derived in detail, using only the Euler–Bernoulli beam model and the Kirchhoff -plate model. In this derivation, the concept of the instantaneous shear centre is used and its position can be determined naturally by the condition that the coeffi cient of the cross-term in the strain energy should be zero; formulae for both the critical moment and the corresponding critical beam length are proposed based upon the analytical buckling equation. An analytical formula of the Wagner coeffi cient is obtained and the validity of Wagner hypothesis is reconfi rmed. Finally, the accuracy of the analytical solution is verifi ed by a FEM solution based upon a bi-modulus model of I-beams. It is found that the critical moments given by the analytical solution almost is identical to those given by Trahair’s formulae, and hence the analytical solution can be used as a benchmark to verify the results obtained by other numerical algorithms for inelastic LTB behaviour.

Study on economic performances of multi-span suspension bridges part 2: parametric study

        Zhang, Li-Wen,Xiao, Ru-Cheng,Sun, Bin,Jiang, Yang,Zhang, Xue-Yi,Zhuang, Dong-Li,Zhou, Yun-Gang,Tu, Xue Techno-Press 2013 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.47 No.2

Economic performances of consecutive multi-span suspension bridges are studied. The material amount and cost estimation formulas of the bridges have been derived in the part 1 of the study. A parametric study is carried out based on the formulas for investigating the different factors' effect on the bridge cost. The factors include the bridge sag, the bridge span, the bridge foundation and the environment condition, etc. Then, an economical layout of the bridges is proposed for different conditions. Lastly, a selection of suspension bridge types is discussed based on the economy of bridges.
