Magneto-rheological variable damping and variable stiffness torsional vibration control of powertrain transmission

Wenfeng Li,Xinfeng Ge,Manying Liang,Xiong Deng 대한기계학회 2023 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.37 No.8

Torsional vibration is prevalent in rotating mechanical systems such as powertrain transmission. It is a hot spot in current torsional vibration control research to effectively suppress torsional vibration of the system by implementing adaptive torsional dampers with adjustable parameters. The current research focuses on the variable damping torsional vibration absorber, while the investigation on variable stiffness torsional vibration absorber remains at the theoretical stage. With this premise, a transmission system with a novel magnetorheological variable stiffness and damping torsional vibration absorber (MR-VSDTVB) is proposed. MR-VSDTVB with sequential adjustment of torsional damping and stiffness parameters is developed. Its aggregate dynamic output characteristics of stiffness and damping are tested. To describe the nonlinear output characteristics with coupled multiple control parameters of MR-VSDTVB and the subsequent control, a GA-BP neural network model and a hierarchical inverse model are adopted. To validate the feasibility of the transmission system with MRVSDTVB, a dynamic model of the transmission system with MR-VSDTVB is constructed and simplified, and then the numerical simulation analysis and experimental tests are carried out. The output performances of the MR semi-active system with various traditional semi-active control strategies show that the transmission system with the proposed MR-VSDTVB can suppress torsional vibration effectively.

Compressive Strength, Hydration and Pore Structure of Alkali-Activated Slag Mortars Integrating with Recycled Concrete Powder as Binders

        Hao Wang,Liang Wang,Wenfeng Shen,Ke Cao,Lei Sun,Pengju Wang,Liyun Cui 대한토목학회 2022 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.26 No.2

Recycled concrete powder (RCP) recycling can reduce the consumption of natural resources, which has been highlighted as an ecofriendly and sustainable approach. The alkali-activated slag (AAS) offers notable prospects for replacing conventional Portland cement binders. In this study, we partially replaced granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) with RCP to prepare the AAS mortars. We evaluated the effect of RCP replacement levels and fineness levels on compressive strength, early hydration process, and pore structure pertaining to AAS mortars with RCP (RCP-AAS mortars). According to the experimental results, using 10 – 30% RCP inside AAS mortars enhanced the compressive strength at 1 day, and the improvement was obvious with increasing RCP fineness. The RCP delayed the early-age hydration of the GBFS, decreased the content of hydration products and increased the total porosity. Therefore, it exhibited a negative effect on 28-day compressive strength. These drawbacks of RCP, however, could be modified by increasing its fineness.

A Light-weighted Data Collection Method for DNS Simulation on the Cyber Range

( Shuang Li ),( Shasha Du ),( Wenfeng Huang ),( Siyu Liang ),( Jinxi Deng ),( Le Wang ),( Huiwu Huang ),( Xinhai Liao ),( Shen Su ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2020 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.14 No.8

The method of DNS data collection is one of the most important parts of DNS simulation. DNS data contains a lot of information. When it comes to analyzing the DNS security issues by simulation on the cyber range with customized features, we only need some of them, such as IP address, domain name information, etc. Therefore, the data we need are supposed to be light-weighted and easy to manipulate. Many researchers have designed different schemes to obtain their datasets, such as LDplayer and Thales system. However, existing solutions consume excessive computational resources, which are not necessary for DNS security simulation. In this paper, we propose a light-weighted active data collection method to prepare the datasets for DNS simulation on cyber range. We evaluate the performance of the method and prove that it can collect DNS data in a short time and store the collected data at a lower storage cost. In addition, we give two examples to illustrate how our method can be used in a variety of applications.

Tribological performances of copper perrhenate/graphene nanocomposite as lubricating additive under various temperatures

        Junhai Wang,Weipeng Zhuang,Tingting Yan,Wenfeng Liang,Ting Li,Lixiu Zhang,Xiaoyi Wei 한국공업화학회 2021 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.100 No.-

Herein, copper perrhenate (Cu(ReO4)2) was synthesized using a micro-emulsion method and adhered tographene (Gr) using an ultrasonic process. Then, the as-prepared Cu(ReO4)2/Gr composite was added intothe synthetic oil as a lubricant additive with the help of ionic liquid to achieve enhanced dispersionstability within the base oil. The tribological performances of the Cu(ReO4)2/Gr additive wereinvestigated using four-ball tests and the ball-on-disk reciprocating configuration under varioustemperatures. The potential lubrication mechanisms of the Cu(ReO4)2/Gr additive were performed usinga series of characterization methods including XRD, Raman, SEM-EDS, TEM, DSC/TG, and XPS. The resultsof four-ball tests at room temperature indicated that the Cu(ReO4)2/Gr additive could substantiallyimprove the tribological performances of the base oil. The smallest coefficient of friction (COF) and wearscar diameter (WSD) values were 0.068 and 495 mm, respectively, when 0.05 wt% of Cu(ReO4)2/Gr wasadded. Additionally, the graphene accelerated friction-induced heat transfer, which led to decreasedfriction and wear. The results of reciprocating friction experiments at elevated temperatures revealedthat the Cu(ReO4)2/Gr additive had excellent friction-reduction properties when the temperature washigh. This could be attributed to the generation of a protective layer containing tribo-oxides from thealloy, some residual carbides and copper perrhenate induced by friction heat and stress. This protectivelayer was uniformly and stably covered on the worn surface, which could effectively alleviate directcontact between the rubbing pair.
