Currently, gut microbiota living in the gastrointestinaltract, plays an important role in regulatinghost’s sleep and circadian rhythms. As a tool, gut microbiotahas great potential for treating circadian disturbanceand circadian insomnia. However, the relationship betweengut microbiota and circadian rhythms is still unclear, andthe mechanism of action has still been the focus ofmicrobiome research. Therefore, this article summarizesthe current evidences associating gut microbiota with factorsthat impact host circadian rhythms neurology sleepdisorder. Moreover, we discuss the changes to these systemsin sleep disorder and the potential mechanism ofintestinal microbiota in regulating circadian rhythms neurologysleep disorder via microbial metabolites. Meanwhile, based on the role of intestinal flora, it is provided anovel insight into circadian related insomnia and will bebenefit the dietary treatment of circadian disturbance andthe circadian related insomnia.

Three new transition metal complexes based on Ozagrel [Cu(Ozagrel)]n (1), [Zn(Ozagrel)(Cl)]n (2), {[Mn2- (Ozagrel)(1,4-ndc)2]·(H2O)}n (3), (Ozagrel = 3-(4-((1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl)phenyl)acrylic acid; 1,4-ndc = 1,4-Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid) have been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analyse, IR, TG, PXRD, electrochemical analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray structure analysis reveals that 1 and 3 are 3D coordination polymers, while complex 2 is a two-dimensional network polymer, the 2D layers are further packed into 3D supramolecular architectures that are connected through hydrogen bonds. The electrochemistry of 1-3 was studied by cyclic voltammetry in methanol and water using a glassy carbon working electrode. Also, thermal decomposition process and powder X-ray diffraction of complexes were investigated.

Purpose Diabetes mellitus (DM) is associated with elevated cancer risk and poor survival outcome in malignancies. The objective of this study was to evaluate the prognostic value of preexisting DM in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Materials and Methods Six hundred and thirty-three subjects with newly-diagnosed CLL between 2007 and 2016 were recruited. Propensity score-matched method was performed to balance baseline characteristics and eliminate possible bias. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses screened the independent risk indicators for time-to-first-treatment (TTFT) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) of CLL. Receiver operator characteristic curves and the corresponding areas under the curve assessed the predictive accuracy of CLL–International Prognostic Index (IPI) together with DM. Results The results showed that 111 patients had pre-existing DM. In the propensity-matched cohort, DM was correlated with inferior TTFT and CSS in CLL patients, and it was an independent prognostic factor for both CSS and TTFT. Pre-diabetics also shared undesirable prognostic outcome compared with patients with no diabetic tendency, and a positive association between longer diabetic duration and poorer prognosis of CLL was identified. DM as one additional point to CLL-IPI had larger area under the curve compared with CLLIPI alone in CSS prediction and could improve the prognostic capacity of CLL-IPI. Conclusion Pre-existing DM was found to be a valuable prognostic predictor and could help predict life expectancy and build refined prognostication models for CLL.

Two novel binuclear metal-organic coordination complexes [$Cd_2(Hdpa)_4(bpy)_2$] (1), [$Dy_2(dpa)_2(bpy)_2(NO_3)_2-(H_2O)_2$](bpy) (2) (where $H_2dpa$ = biphenyl-2,2'-dicarboxylic acid, bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, spectral method (IR), elemental analysis (EA), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), electronic spectra (UV-vis), fluorescent in the solid state and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Complexes 1-2 crystallizes isomorphously in the Triclinic space group P-1. The ${\pi}-{\pi}$ stacking interactions and hydrogen-bonds play a vital role in determining the crystal packing and construction of the extended 3-D supramolecular network.
