Cisplatin(ctr-diamminedichlorop1atium) is one of the most effective anti-cancer drugs being clinically used in the treatment of solid tumors. Despite its therapeutic benefits, its use in clinical practice is often limited because of dose related toxicity. It is known that yeast cell wall beta-glucans possess immuno-modulating properties, which allows for their application in antitumor therapy. 1S2 is a kind of beta-glucan derived from the cell wall of mutated Sacchammyces cerevisiae, which exhibits anti-cancer activity in vitro and in vivo. The present study explored the possibility of combination therapy of IS2 with cisplatin. In experimental metastasis of colon26M3.1 cells, prophylactic intravenous administration of IS-2 in combination with cisplatin effectively inhibited tumor metastasis compared with cisplatin alone or IS-2 treatment in vivo. IS-2 effectively enhanced Thl type cytokines including IFN-r, IL-2, ILf2 and GM-CSF. Simultaneously, this combined treatment inhibited production of Th2 type cytokines compared with control. These results suggested that IS-2 can be applied in combination therapy with anti-cancer drugs to minimize their side effects.
해양성 광천수의 암세포 성장, 전이 및 신생 혈관 생성 억제 효과

Brine mineral water(BMW) has recently gained attention as a new water resource due to its biological activities. In this study, BMW from the Geumjin area(Gangneung-city, Korea) was evaluated for its growth inhibition, anti-metastasis and anti-angiogenesis activity against cancer cells. The in vitro cytotoxicity was measured by CCK assay, and the anti-metastasis activity was estimated by lung metastasis in vivo. The in vitro incubation of mouse splenic cells with BMW that had been diluted more than 4-fold showed no effect on the cell growth when compared to a control group. Additionally, BMW inhibited the growth of the EL-4, L5178Y-R and colon26-M3.1 cancer cell lines in a dose-dependent manner. In vivo evaluation of the anti-metastasis activity of BMW in BALB/c mice inoculated with the colon26-M3.1 cell line revealed dose-dependent inhibition in response to treatment with samples that were diluted by up to 9 times. Finally, treatment with BMW effectively suppressed the growth of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) added human umbilical vein endothelial cells. Overall, these results suggest that BMW has anti-cancer activity.

This study alms to analyze the entrepreneur characteristics of founder on enterprise performance from the strategic viewpoint as well as features of founder of small firms such as background feature of founder, psychological features and management skill. As considered by Background features of founder include educational background of founder, his experience in business creation, consultation or course related to business creation. This study verified the effects of factor which business performance (financial, non financial) on small firms. Also, this study considered psychological features of founder include achievement desire, risk-free propensity, level of patience on vagueness and control position. And it analyzed that between such factors and performance of small firms were examined in related. In the mean time, management ability of founder, entrepreneur ability, technical and function ability were considered for management skill of founder and alalyzed effect of the factors on performance of small firm were examined. Effects of strategic intention of founder of small firm were analyzed by the strategic viewpoint. At this time, strategy of small firm was divided into product-service reform differentiation strategy, marketing differentiation strategy and cost leadership strategy. This study distributed questionnaire on CEO of small firms in Daejeon and Chungnam area for accomplish the study objective and it collected a total of 145 copies of questionnaires. As a result of analyzing collected questionnaire, this study deduced the following study results and suggestions. First, results different from those of existing studies were found Since sales, net income and profit rate of small firm were not high cause economic depression on the whole. Second, entrepreneur ability was found to be required for success of business creation. Entrepreneur ability of founder was the factor that affects both financial and non - financial performance of small firm. As such, entrepreneur ability can be regarded as the most important factor for success in business creation of small firm. Accordingly, entrepreneur ability is the most important source for success in business creation of small firm. Third, strategy of small firm was found to be the important factor that affects the non-financial performance even if it could not give significant effects on financial performance. Thus, product service reform differentiation strategy, marketing differentiation strategy and cost leadership strategy have significant effects on non - financial performance of small firm. Accordingly, it is required to operate small firm with strategic mind - set for small firm to achieve success. This study analyzed the effects of feature of founder and strategy of small firm on business performance of small firm through practical analysis on small firms in Daejeon and Chungnam area, and deduced meaningful results. However, Since this study collected data on small firms in Daejeon and Chungnam only, there is a limit in generalizing the results of this study to all small firms in Korea. Companies answering to this questionnaire process were mainly wholesale and retail service companies. In addition, there is a limit in that it failed to analyze feature of representative type of industry due to limit in number of sample, it is required to divide representative type of industry and to compare and analyze types of industry in future studies.
TMA로 유도된 접촉성 과민 반응 마우스 질환모델에서 해양성 광천수 도포시의 치료효과

Effect of brine mineral water(BMW) on contact hypersensitivity reaction(CHR) was estimated using trimellitic anhydride (TMA) induced CHR in the mouse. BMW exhibited potent inhibitory activity on TMA induced CHR. BMW treatment suppressed the ear swelling, and attenuated hyper-activated lymph nodes stimulated by TMA challenge, thereby reduced their weight. The immunological index was analyzed after BMW administration in CHR. The level of serum IGE was significantly down regulated after BMW treatment. Furthermore, BMW showed inhibitory property of cytokine production. BMW treatment suppressed not only Th2 type cytokine, IL-4 but also pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6. From the histological analysis, the inflammatory context appeared by atopic dermatitis lesion after challenging with TMA are diminished by BMW treatment. Our results suggest that BMW may attenuate the development of CHR, and can be available for functional ingredient.

This paper presents the results of finite element analysis for the effects of hydrostatic test and operating condition on the weld residual stress at dissimilar metal weld of a pressurizer safety nozzle in a nuclear power plant. For the study, the weld residual stress at ambient condition was analyzed using ABAQUS in the first place. After the weld residual stress analysis, the hydrostatic test condition and operating condition was applied to the same model one after another. The weld residual stress was observed to change due to the successive hydrostatic test and operating condition. The axial residual stresses on inner surface of the dissimilar metal weld and HAZ region were decreased by hydrostatic test and operating condition, which gives beneficial effect on preventing primary water stress corrosion cracking.
지방간 환자를 위한 생식용 천연복합식품이 고지방식이를 급여한 흰쥐의 혈청, 간장의 효소 및 간조직 구조에 미치는 영향

지방간을 치유하기 위한 생식을 개발하기 위하여 기능성 천연식품을 재료로 한 조성물(천연복합식품)을 만들어 고지방, 고콜레스테롤식이에 의해 인위적으로 지방간을 유도한 흰쥐에게 단계적으로 급여한 후 혈청내 생물학적 수치와 간장조직검사를 통하여 지방간 치유효과를 검토했다. 그 결과, 식이내 천연복합식품의 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 혈청 AST, 혈청 ALT, 혈청 ALP, γ-GT 및 LDH 활성치가 하락하였다. 혈청 총단백량은 천연복합식품 30% 및 50% 처리군에서는 대조군과 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았으나, 천연복합식품 100% 처리군은 대조군보다 유의하게 하락했다. 혈청 albumin 양도 천연복합식품 30% 및 50% 처리군들은 대조군과 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았으나 천연복합식품 100% 처리군은 증가하는 경향을 보여 정상군과 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 혈청 triglyceride 양과 총콜레스테롤 양은 천연복합식품 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 간장내 지방축적을 알아보기 위한 간장의 외견상 및 세포조직검사에서 천연복합식품을 첨가하지 않은 대조군은 간장이 백색을 나타내어 지방축적이 심각함을 보여주었으나, 천연복합식품처리군 모두는 대조군과 비교하여 확연하게 간장내 지방축적량이 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 간장의 세포조직검사에서도 대조군에서는 지방세포의 팽창이 확연했으나, 천연복합식품처리군 모두는 지방세포의 소멸이 시작되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 혈청내 생물학적 수치와 간장의 외견 및 조직검사의 결과를 미루어 볼 때 천연복합식품은 고지방 및 고콜레스테롤식이에 의해 유도된 흰쥐의 지방간 치유에 긍정적으로 기여할 수 있음을 시사해 준다. In order to design and develop a product that can treat the fatty liver, natural complex food with all natural ingredients was developed and supplemented to rats with high fat diet to induce fatty liver. As a result, when the amount of natural complex food was increased in diet of subjects, the activities of the blood serum AST, ALT, ALP, 3-GT and LDH were decreased. The total protein concentration levels of the 30% and the 50% natural complex food groups did not show changes in respect to the control group, but the 100% natural complex food groups showed significant decrease (p<0.05). Likewise, the amount of blood serum albumin in the 30% and the 50% natural complex food groups did not show improvement, but the 100% natural complex food did showed significant changes (p<0.05). The amount of blood serum triglyceride decreased as the amount of natural complex food was increased. In order to investigate the appearances of the accumulated fat in the liver, the animals were dissected. Livers of the control group (no natural complex food) were appeared as a white color, which means serious fat accumulation. However, all the natural complex food groups (30, 50 and 100% natural complex food) showed noticeable decrease of fat content. Even the histology showed that livers of the control group had expansion of the fat, but all the natural complex food groups had the decreased fat contents and continued to show destroyed fatty cells. By observing the biological numeric data, the physical appearance and the history of the fatty liver, it is highly expected that natural complex food is very effective in treating the liver damaged by the fat and the cholesterol.

본 연구의 목표는 중·고등학교 교사들을 대상으로 인공지능 교육과 효과적인 교수학습 방법에 대한 이해를 제고시키기 위해 교사교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것에 있다. 이를 위해 AI4K12의 Big 5 Idea를 비롯한 국내·외 인공지능 교육 관련 주요 문헌을 탐색해 교육방향과 내용을 설정하고 인공지능 분야의 전문가 검토를 거쳐 최종 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 교사 교육 프로그램은 두 가지 대영역(인공지능 원리와 AI 교육의 이해, 인공지능 교수학습 활용)과 다섯 가지 중영역으로 구성하였으며, 전문 편집 과정을 거쳐 교재로 개발하였다. 향후 본 교사 교육 프로그램과 교재를 활용해 효과적인 교사 교육이 이루어지길 기대한다.

본 연구에서는 고등학교 학생 및 교사를 대상으로 인공지능 교육의 효과적인 학습 자료를 개발하였다. 이를 위해 AI4K12의 Big 5Idea, 인텔 청소년 인공지능 교유과정, 국가 및 시도교육청 인공지능 교육과정을 비롯한 국내·외 인공지능 교육 관련 주요 문헌을 탐색해 교육자료 개발의 방향을 설정하고 인공지능 분야의 전문가 검토를 거쳐 프로젝트 기반 인공지능 학습 자료를 개발하였다. 개발한 프로그램은 인공지능 요소 기술을 학습에서 벗어나 인공지능을 미래를 위한 유익할 기술로 활용할 수 있도록하는데 중심을 두고 기존의 피지컬, 메이커 교육과 융합될 수 있도록 구성하였다. 본 교육자료를 활용하여 효과적인 인공지능 교육이 이루어져 널리 인간을 이롭게 하는데 인공지능이 활용되기를 바란다.
