Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Performance: The Role of Employee Engagement

HERMAWAN, Hermawan,THAMRIN, H.M.,SUSILO, Priyo Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.12

Nowadays, technology and information are developing rapidly. It compels an organization or a company strive to excel in its field. In the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, companies must maintain their assets and technology to face the competition. One asset that should be paid attention to is human resources. Human resource has two important variables, namely Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and Employee Engagement (EE). This study aims to analyze the relationship between OCB and EE on Employee Performance (EP) in the manufacturing industry in Tangerang. This study is conducted using a quantitative method with 200 respondents. The data is collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents, which is then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 23 software. The result of this study indicates that OCB has a significant effect on EE and EP. This study also finds that employee engagement has a significant effect on employee performance and can mediate the relationship between OCB and EP. From these results, the implication that can be taken is that the manufacturing industry in Tangerang must pay attention to their employees for them to develop OCB and EE, and eventually increase their performance towards the organization.

Sol-gel TiO2/Carbon Paste Electrode Nanocomposites for Electrochemical-assisted Sensing of Fipronil Pesticide

Maulidiyah, Maulidiyah,Azis, Thamrin,Lindayani, Lindayani,Wibowo, Dwiprayogo,Salim, La Ode Agus,Aladin, Andi,Nurdin, Muhammad The Korean Electrochemical Society 2019 Journal of electrochemical science and technology Vol.10 No.4

The unique study of TiO2 sol-gel modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) nanocomposites have been developed for electrochemical sensor detecting fipronil pesticide compound. We develop the easy synthesized TiO2 via a sol-gel method and modified in CPE which applied electrochemical system as cyclic voltammetry (CV) because the concentration is proportional with current peaks. We discover the TiO2 optimal mass used of 0.1 g which is compared with 0.7 g carbon and 0.3 mL paraffin. It has high-current anodic (Ipa) of 1.13×103 μA and high-current cathodic (Ipc) -0.96×103 μA in scan rate of 0.5 V/s. The limit of detection (LOD) of fipronil has been determined of 34.0×10-5 μM in percent recovery of 0.8%. Its high-stability for lifetime TiO2-CPE nanocomposites was expressed for 13 days which mean that can be used for detecting fipronil pesticide.

The Poverty Situation in Indonesia: Challenges and Progress of the Marginalized Group

Zulkarnain A. Hatta,Djuni Thamrin Sarkawi 한국사회복지학회 2011 Asian Social Work and Policy Review Vol.5 No.2

This paper focuses on Indonesian poverty alleviation programs. It examines the national povertyreduction programs of cash-based support projects for the poorest of the poor and highly marginalizedgroups. Indonesia was the country hardest hit by the East Asian financial crisis of the late1990s. In 2005, Indonesia began unconditional cash transfers (UCT) for the first time – giving cashmoney to the poorest, poor and near-poor targeted households. As a result, the income of the pooresthouseholds receiving UCT increased by 1.3 times compared to that of non-recipients. The UCTcan be seen as a new benchmark for Indonesia as a mechanism of a ‘‘shockbreaker’’ for the pooraffected by the crisis. In 2007, the government of Indonesia began a trial of the conditional cashtransfer (CCT) program known as the Hopeful Family Program (Program Keluarga Harapan orPKH). The CCT program was provided to poor families with an allowance conditional on theirattention to their children’s education and health. With this program, women in the communitygained access to new resources, in the form of the additional cash. CCT is planned to be the basisof the development of a future social security system.

The Role of Facilitating Conditions and User Habits: A Case of Indonesian Online Learning Platform

AMBARWATI, Rita,HARJA, Yuda Dian,THAMRIN, Suyono Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.10

The study examines the role of facilitating conditions and user habits in the use of technology in Online Learning Platform (OLP) in Indonesia. The adoption of online learning, persistence, and learning results in online platforms is essential for ensuring that education technology is implemented and gets as much value as possible. People who use technology and systems will embrace new technologies even more. This quantitative study is based on a survey of 254 respondents, who were active users of the technology, and considers the facilitating conditions and user habits variables. Two research hypotheses were tested using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling method. Cronbach's Alpha, path coefficient, AVE, R-square, T-test were applied. The results showed that the factors significantly influence the Online Learning Platform technology behavioral intention. This impact is primarily associated with the availability of the resources required to use OLP technology. The availability of these resources includes supporting infrastructures such as widespread Internet access, easy access to mobile devices, and file sizes that affect access speed. The findings of this study suggest that it is necessary to introduce and increase the availability of resources for using OLP technology, and familiarize people with the technology features.

Diagnosis and Management of Hepatic Hydrothorax

        Amie Vidyani,Citra Indriani Sibarani,Budi Widodo,Herry Purbayu,Husin Thamrin,Muhammad Miftahussurur,Poernomo Boedi Setiawan,Titong Sugihartono,Ulfa Kholili,Ummi Maimunah 대한소화기학회 2024 대한소화기학회지 Vol.83 No.2

Hepatic hydrothorax is a pleural effusion (typically ≥500 mL) that develops in patients with cirrhosis and/or portal hypertension in the absence of other causes. In most cases, hepatic hydrothorax is seen in patients with ascites. However, ascites is not always found at diagnosis and is not clinically detected in 20% of patients with hepatic hydrothorax. Some patients have no symptoms and incidental findings on radiologic examination lead to the diagnosis of the condition. In the majority of cases, the patients present with symptoms such as dyspnea at rest, cough, nausea, and pleuritic chest pain. The diagnosis of hepatic hydrothorax is based on clinical manifestations, radiological features, and thoracocentesis to exclude other etiologies such as infection (parapneumonic effusion, tuberculosis), malignancy (lymphoma, adenocarcinoma) and chylothorax. The management strategy involves a stepwise approach of one or more of the following: Reducing ascitic fluid production, preventing fluid transfer to the pleural space, fluid drainage from the pleural cavity, pleurodesis (obliteration of the pleural cavity), and liver transplantation. The complications of hepatic hydrothorax are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. The complication that causes the highest morbidity and mortality is spontaneous bacterial empyema (also called spontaneous bacterial pleuritis).

Establishing cleft services in developing countries: Complications of cleft lip and palate surgery in rural areas of Indonesia

        Muhammad Ruslin,Lawrence Dom,Andi Tajrin,Andi Sitti Hajrah Yusuf,Syafri Kamsul Arif,Andi Husni Tanra,Keng Liang Ou,Tymour Forouzanfar,Sri Astuti Thamrin 대한성형외과학회 2019 Archives of Plastic Surgery Vol.46 No.6

Background Cleft treatment is frequently performed in Indonesia, mostly in charity missions, but without a postoperative protocol it is difficult to establish the risks and complicationsof cleft treatment. The present study was designed to give an overview of current cleftlip and palate treatment strategies in Indonesia and to assess the complication rates duringand after surgery. Methods This prospective study evaluated anesthetic, intraoperative surgical, and short-termpostoperative complications in patients undergoing primary, secondary, or corrective surgeryfor cleft lip and palate deformities. The population consisted of 98 non-syndromic cleft patients. The main anesthetic complication that occurred during general anesthesia was highblood pressure, whereas the main intraoperative surgical complication was excessive bleedingand the main early postoperative complication was extremely poor wound hygiene. Results In this study, there were no cases of perioperative or postoperative mortality. However,in 23 (23.4%) of the 98 operations performed, at least one perioperative complicationrelated to anesthesia occurred. The intraoperative and early postoperative complications followingcleft lip and/or palate were assessed. There was a significant difference in the complicationrate between procedure types (χ2=0.02; P<0.05). However, no relationship was foundbetween perioperative complications related to anesthesia and the occurrence of postoperativecomplications (χ2=1.00; P>0.05). Nonetheless, a significant difference was found betweenprocedure types regarding perioperative complications and the occurrence of postoperativecomplications (χ2=0.031; P<0.05). Conclusions Further evaluation of these outcomes would help direct patient managementtoward decreasing the complication rate.
