The tongue is a specialized vital organ. It aids in mastication, deglutition and food digestion. It also shares in the perception of taste sensation as it possesses various gustatory papillae. It is being subjected to numerous anatomical and histological examinations aiming at exploring the correlation between its morphological features and animal adaptations to various types of nutrition and environmental conditions. The goal of the present work was to compare the ultrastructural features of the filiform and fungiform papillae of three various mammals possessing different feeding habits; Egyptian mice, fruit bats and long-eared hedgehogs. Specimens were obtained from the tongues of four healthy adult animals from each mammalian type. Tongues were fixed and all the appropriate procedures were done to perform scanning electron microscopic investigation. Scanning electron microscopic examination demonstrated that in mice, there were four different sub-types of filiform papillae (spike, leaf, conical and tongue-shaped). In bats, there were two sub-types (flower and leaf-like) and in hedgehogs, there was only one type (tongue-like). These filiform papillae showed different distribution and orientation. As for the fungiform papillae, they were cylindrical in mice, rounded or conical in bats and dome-shaped in hedgehogs. Fungiform papillae possessed taste pores containing taste buds. Ultrastructural variations of the filiform and fungiform papillae were suggested to be probably due to adaptation to various feeding habits and different environmental conditions of these animals.
DTCF: A Distributed Trust Computing Framework for Vehicular Ad hoc Networks
( Tahani Gazdar ),( Abdelfettah Belghith ),( Ahmad Almogren ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.3
The concept of trust in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) is usually utilized to assess the trustworthiness of the received data as well as that of the sending entities. The quality of safety applications in VANETs largely depends on the trustworthiness of exchanged data. In this paper, we propose a self-organized distributed trust computing framework (DTCF) for VANETs to compute the trustworthiness of each vehicle, in order to filter out malicious nodes and recognize fully trusted nodes. The proposed framework is solely based on the investigation of the direct experience among vehicles without using any recommendation system. A tier-based dissemination technique for data messages is used to filter out non authentic messages and corresponding events before even going farther away from the source of the event. Extensive simulations are conducted using Omnet++/Sumo in order to investigate the efficiency of our framework and the consistency of the computed trust metrics in both urban and highway environments. Despite the high dynamics in such networks, our proposed DTCF is capable of detecting more than 85% of fully trusted vehicles, and filtering out virtually all malicious entities. The resulting average delay to detect malicious vehicles and fraudulent data is showed to be less than 1 second, and the computed trust metrics are shown to be highly consistent throughout the network.
c-KIT Positive Schistosomal Urinary Bladder Carcinomas are Frequent but Lack KIT Gene Mutations
Shams, Tahany M.,Metawea, Mokhtar,Salim, Elsayed I. Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.1
Urinary bladder squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), one of the most common neoplasms in Egypt, is attributed to chronic urinary infection with Schistosoma haematobium (Schistosomiasis). The proto-oncogene c-KIT, encoding a tyrosine kinase receptor and implicated in the development of a number of human malignancies, has not been studied so far in schistosomal urinary bladder SCCs. We therefore determined immunohistochemical (IHC) expression of c-KIT in paraffin sections from 120 radical cystectomies of SCCs originally obtained from the Pathology Department of Suez Canal University (Ismailia, Egypt). Each slide was evaluated for staining intensity where the staining extent of >10% of cells was considered positive. c-KIT overexpression was detected in 78.3% (94/120) of the patients, the staining extents in the tumor cells were 11-50% and >50% in 40 (42.6%) and 54 (57.4%) respectively. The positive cases had 14.9%, 63.8%, 21.3% as weak, moderate and strong intensity respectively. Patients with positive bilharzial ova had significantly higher c-KIT expression than patients without (95.2% vs. 38.9%, P=0.000). Mutation analysis of exons 9-13 was negative in thirty KIT positive cases. The high rate of positivity in SBSCC was one of the striking findings; However, CD117 may be a potential target for site specific immunotherapy to improve the outcome of this tumor.
Comparison of Machine Learning Techniques for Cyberbullying Detection on YouTube Arabic Comments
Alsubait, Tahani,Alfageh, Danyah International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2021 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.21 No.1
Cyberbullying is a problem that is faced in many cultures. Due to their popularity and interactive nature, social media platforms have also been affected by cyberbullying. Social media users from Arab countries have also reported being a target of cyberbullying. Machine learning techniques have been a prominent approach used by scientists to detect and battle this phenomenon. In this paper, we compare different machine learning algorithms for their performance in cyberbullying detection based on a labeled dataset of Arabic YouTube comments. Three machine learning models are considered, namely: Multinomial Naïve Bayes (MNB), Complement Naïve Bayes (CNB), and Linear Regression (LR). In addition, we experiment with two feature extraction methods, namely: Count Vectorizer and Tfidf Vectorizer. Our results show that, using count vectroizer feature extraction, the Logistic Regression model can outperform both Multinomial and Complement Naïve Bayes models. However, when using Tfidf vectorizer feature extraction, Complement Naive Bayes model can outperform the other two models.

Every organization needs engaged employees to achieve their goals. The role of leaders is crucial in building a proper relationship with employees who have an attachment to their organization. The leaders adopt different behavior and attitude to engage with employees. The aim of this study is to test the relationship between the model of leadership styles (transformational and transactional) and employee engagement. Through series of analysis, result findings showed that there is a significant relationship between leadership styles (transformational and transactional) and employee engagement. These results revealed that the role of leadership styles, particularly transactional and transformational leadership has a significant effect on employee engagement. Since the study on leadership styles and their effect on employee engagement in less developed or developing countries like Iran is limited, findings and suggestions from this study would certainly contribute in this area..

Dynamic behavior and frequency analysis of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) with finite length are investigated using an analyticalmethod. By applying multiple elastic shells and a linearized model of van der Waals forces, a comprehensive continuum dynamicmodel of MWCNTs is developed. Also, by utilizing Laplace transform, time histories of MWCNTs subjected to shock lading are obtained. Then by using the fast Fourier transform (FFT), the time responses are transferred to the frequency domain and natural frequenciesare found. The accuracy of results is verified by comparing the results of sudden loading with those obtained by numerical methods. Furthermore, an abrupt unloading after ramp loading is simulated, and the dependency of diameter and length on the axial and radialnatural frequencies of MWCNTs is examined. Also, by characterizing the longitudinal displacement, the wave propagation velocities areobtained and an explicit expression is found for the axial natural frequencies of MWCNTs subjected to shock loading.

Background: One of the main causes of delay in diagnosis of oral cancer is lack of awareness about aetiology and symptoms among the general population. The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge and practice of patients regarding oral cancer and their attitude towards tobacco cessation. Materials and Methods: This study was carried out in Isfahan-Iran in 2014. A 29-item self-administrated questionnaire was designed and piloted and distributed to patients attending dental clinics. Questions were focused on awareness about oral cancer risk factors, signs and symptoms, places in the mouth which are more susceptible and attitude toward tobacco cessation. Chi-square, T-test, ANOVA and logistic regression tests were used for statistical analysis. Results: A total of 546 valid completed questionnaires were obtained. The mean knowledge score of patients was 4.1(${\pm}2.7$) out of 13. Some 80% of patients did not know about early manifestations of oral cancer. Only 18% knew the most likely sites of oral cancer. Only 43.1% and 65.2% of patients reported alcohol and tobacco consumption as the main risk factors but they had a fair knowledge about other risk factors. There was no significant difference in Knowledge level between patients regarding their sex, educational levels and age. Most patents (90%) expected their dentists to warn them about the harmful effects of smoking and showed willingness to quit if recommended. Conclusions: Knowledge about oral cancer was found to be quite low. It seems necessary to increase the level of public awareness using educational programs with cooperation of dentists in tobacco cessation programs.

A semi-analytical method is presented for accurately prediction of the free vibration behavior of generally laminated composite plates with arbitrary boundary conditions. The method employs the technique of separation of spatial variables within Hamilton's principle to obtain the equations of motion, including two systems of coupled ordinary homogeneous differential equations. Subsequently, by applying the laminate constitutive relations into the resulting equations two sets of coupled ordinary differential equations with constant coefficients, in terms of displacements, are achieved. The obtained differential equations are solved for the natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes, with the use of the exact state-space approach. The formulation is exploited in the framework of the first-order shear deformation theory to incorporate the effects of transverse shear deformation and rotary inertia. The efficiency and accuracy of the present method are demonstrated by obtaining solutions to a wide range of problems and comparing them with finite element analysis and previously published results.

In this paper, we explore the additivity of the map $\Omega :\mathrsfso{A}\rightarrow \mathrsfso{A}$ that satisfies $$\Omega\left( [\mathrsfso{L},\mathrsfso{M}]_{*} \right)=[\Omega\left( \mathrsfso{M}\right),\mathrsfso{L}] _{*} + [\mathrsfso{M}, \Omega\left( \mathrsfso{L}\right)]_{*},$$ where $[\mathrsfso{L}, \mathrsfso{M}] _{*}= \mathrsfso{L}\mathrsfso{M}^\ast -\mathrsfso{M} \mathrsfso{L}^\ast$, for all $\mathrsfso{L},\mathrsfso{M} \in\mathcal {\mathrsfso{A} }$, a prime $\ast-$algebra with unit $\mathrsfso{I}$. Additionally we show that if ${\Omega}(\alpha \mathrsfso{I})$ is self-adjoint operator for $ \alpha \in\{1, i\} $, then $\Omega=0$.

This paper presents an analytical and size-dependent model for vibrational analysis of fully clamped rectangular microplates. Modifiedcouple stress theory (MCST) and the Kirchhoff plate model are considered, and Hamilton’s principle is employed to derive the sizedependentequation of motion that accounts for the effect of residual stresses. The natural frequencies of the microplate are extractedanalytically by extended Kantorovich method. The present findings are validated with the available results in the literature, and an excellentagreement is observed between them. In addition, a parametric study is conducted to demonstrate the significant effects of couplestress components on the natural frequencies of fully clamped microplates. The ratio of MCST natural frequencies to those obtained withclassical theory depends only on the Poisson’s ratio of the plate and is independent of the aspect ratio of the plate for cases with no residualstresses.
