        Tinnitus Relief Effect According to the Stimulus Listening Method of Sound Therapy

        Purpose: This study investigated the tinnitus relief effect of the stimulation listening method in sound therapy. Methods: The participants were randomly divided into two groups: 16 in the continuous listening group and 15 in the intermittent listening group. The participants listened to broad-band noise at the mixing point level for 3 months, either continuously for 2 hours or intermittently 4 hours for 30 minutes, depending on the group allocation. The results of this study were confirmed by measuring scores through the Korean version of the Tinnitus Primary Function Questionnaire (K-TPFQ) and visual analog scale (VAS) for tinnitus loudness and annoyance at pretreatment and at 1, 2, and 3 months follow-ups. Results: Average scores of the K-TPFQ and VAS for tinnitus loudness and annoyance significantly improved with the duration of sound therapy in both the continuous listening and intermittent listening groups (p < 0.05). However, there was no difference between the two groups regarding the stimulation listening method in sound therapy, and no significant interaction effects were confirmed. Conclusion: The method of listening to the sound therapy continuously for 2 hours and the method of listening intermittently for 30 minutes had similar tinnitus relief effects.

        Study on the Emission Property in Ce3+, Tb3+, and Eu3+ Co-doped CaHfO3 Phosphors via Successive Energy Transfer

        We investigated the energy transfer among three rare-earth ions, Ce3+, Tb3+, and Eu3+, and the related emission properties in a host material CaHfO3 by using photoluminescence spectroscopy. We found that in case of the Tb3+ and Eu3+ doubly-doped CaHfO3, the visible emission intensity of Eu3+ could be activated with the photoexcitation of the transitions in Tb3+ through an energy transfer from Tb3+ to Eu3+. By adding Ce3+ ions to this doubly doped sample, we obtained the Eu3+ emission with near-ultraviolet (NUV) light excitation in Ce3+ via the successive energy transfers Ce3+ → Tb3+ and Tb3+ → Eu3+. We observed that the emission colors were tuned from blue to green/yellow and then to red with NUV photoexcitation in Ce3+/Tb3+/Eu3+-codoped CaHfO3.

        Maintenance of Improvement in Tinnitus after Tinnitus Sound Therapy: A 6-Month Follow-Up Study

        Purpose: Sound therapy is a useful rehabilitation approach that focuses on listening to external stimuli to reduce the perception of and negative reactions to tinnitus. In this study, we investigated whether the benefits of sound therapy for tinnitus were maintained after treatment completion. Methods: The study included 18 adults with chronic sensorineural tinnitus. The intervention used was sound therapy based on the mixing point level of each participant. Participants received sound therapy for 6 months; the Korean version of the Tinnitus Primary Function Questionnaire was administered before, after, and 6 months after completion of sound therapy to confirm any resolution of tinnitus. Results: The beneficial effects against tinnitus were maintained even 6 months post-therapy in 18 participants who showed significant improvement in mean questionnaire scores following sound therapy. With regard to the mean total score and mean subscale scores of emotion, sleep, concentration, and hearing, improvements between the baseline and 6-month follow-up were 24.22, 26.23, 25.22, 29.56, and 15.89, respectively. Conclusion: Sound therapy may be a potentially useful strategy that maintains improvement in tinnitus even after treatment. This fact may be useful to hearing professionals who may consider sound therapy for management of tinnitus.

        네트웍 분석을 통한 유전체자료의 시각화 연구

        악성간암 환자의 임상자료와 유전체자료로 구조적 연관성을 네트웍분석을 통한 네트웍그래프와 나무구조 분류모형, 나무구조 생존모형, SDA 분류모형 상관원 그래프 등을 통하여 변수간의 연관성과 중요도 등을 시각적으로 파악하고자 한다. 성인병 들과 원인 변수들로 상호연관성을 네트웍 그래프와 워들로 작성하여 각 질환에 영향을 주는 변인들을 찾고 상대적인 중요도, 영향의 방향과 강도 등을 파악하고자 한다. 그 결과 HCC에서는 AFP 접수, 암세포의 크기, CHILD 접수, TACE횟수 등이 암세포의 전이와 사망, 생존기간에 영향을 주는 중요한 변수로 관찰되었고 일반질환의 네트웍 그래프, 워드클라우드 분석 결과, 빈혈, 아토픽성 피부염, 등이 관상동맥질환과 당뇨고혈압 등의 성인병에 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 시각화된 그래프를 통하여 각종 질병의 진단 및 예후진단 등에 중요한 역할을 하는 임상변수, 사회인구학적 변수, 유전체변수 등을 참음으로써 환자의 질병의 진단과 치료를 효율화 할 수 있고 이에 따라 환자의 수명을 연장하고 치료비를 절약하여 국가적 의료비 절감에 기여할 수 있을 것이다. Objectives: The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship among major gene data and clinical data in HCC by network analysis and word cloud. According to the several covariate we can compare the characteristics. Methods: We used network analysis to visualize the relationships and hidden structure among the genes and clinical covariates collected from 2011-2015 SNU Liver Center in Korea with classification tree, survival tree, SDA correlation circle, network graph, wordle. Results: We find that smoking and obesity is the most important factor of causing HCC prognosis. We can visually recognize these results from the network graphs made by network analysis and wordle. Conclusions: We made the age-specific social network graphs between genes and clinical lab data of HCC in Korea across diagnosis and prognosis.

        온톨로지 방법을 통한 서사무가의 구조연구 - 〈원천강본풀이〉를 중심으로 -

        고전 서사를 데이터베이스화하고자 하는 요구는 계속되지만, 좀처럼 실현되지 못하고 있었다. DB화를 통해 얻을 수 있는 이점은 심층적인 서사의 분석이 가능하다는 점이다. 평면적 분석에서 입체적이고 중층적인 분석과 해석이 필요한데 이를 메타적 분석이라 할 수 있을 것이다. 즉 서사구조의 뒤에 숨겨진 의미를 도출해 내는 것이다. 본고는 서사자료의 심층 메타구조를 파악하는 방법으로 온톨로지의 방식을 응용하였다. 이는 이미 디지털인문학의 한 연구 방법으로 자리하고 있는 것으로, 온톨로지는 단순한 데이터베이스화의 한계를 떠나 데이터들 간의 상호 관계성을 엮어내는 방식을 택한 기술이다. 여기서 시도하는 바는 데이터의 시각화와 그의 분석 작업이 될 것이다. 자료는 무가 중에서 <원천강본풀이>를 택하였고, 분석 방법으로 캠벨의 3단계 틀을 활용할 수 있겠으나, 구조 분석에 더 유용한 방법은 라캉의 이론이다. 상상계-상징계-실제계로 이어지는 분석틀이 그것이다. 그리고 이와 유사한 논리를 전개했던 김태곤의 원본이론과 이를 더욱 심화한 이정재의 트랜스 이론도 본고의 논의에 도움이 될 것이다. 시론적으로 시도한 <원천강본풀이>의 데이터베이스와 활용도는 유의미한 결과로 이어졌다. 첫째, 그래프 데이터베이스의 실용성을 확인할 수 있었다. 시각적으로 서사 구조를 보여줄 수 있음은 물론, 둘째, 프로그램에 창의적 질의를 던질 수 있으며 원하는 답을 손쉽게 얻을 수 있어 메타분석의 지평을 열었다는 점이다. 셋째, 데이터베이스 그 자체가 자료가 되어 다양한 관점에서 활용될 수 있음을 보여 준다. 마지막으로, 직관을 통해 서술되던 부분을 데이터화와 시각화의 유의미한 결과로 확인하고 확장하여 다른 문화콘텐츠에서도 ‘한국적 정서’와 같은 정신적 맥락을 읽어낼 수 있는 가능성을 보여 준 점이 되겠다. The demand for the database of classical narratives continued, but it was hardly realized. The advantage of DBization is that in-depth narrative analysis is possible. In planar analysis, three-dimensional and middle-layer analysis and interpretation are needed, which can be called meta-analysis. In other words, they derive the hidden meaning behind the narrative structure. This paper applied the ontology method by identifying the in-depth meta-structure of narrative materials. This has already become a method of research in digital humanities. Ontology is a technology that takes a way of weaving interrelationships among data beyond the limits of simple DBization. What we try here will be the visualization of data and analysis. For the data, <Woncheongang Bonpuri> was chosen from the list of Muga, and Campbell’s three-stage framework could be used as an analysis method, but the more useful method for structural analysis is Lacan’s theory. It is an analytical framework that leads to ‘Imaginary-Symbolic-Real’. And Kim Tae-gon’s original theory, which developed similar logic, and Lee Jung-jae’s trance theory, which deepened it, will also help the discussion of the original. The database and utilization of the theoretical <Woncheongang Bonpuri> led to significant results. First, I could check the practicality of the graph database. I could visualize the narrative structure. Second, it opened the horizon of meta-analysis by being able to cast creative questions on the program and easily get the answers they want. Third, it shows that the database itself is data and can be used from various perspectives.

        악안면 형태의 나무구조 군집 분류 모형 연구

        Clustering is the task of segmenting a heterogeneous population into a number of more homogeneous subgroups or clusters. It is valuable method for understanding the complex nature of multivariate dental data and relationships. It is widely needed in growth pattern recongnition. This paper tries to cluster with the 675 records together on the tree structured clustering. The data were collected from 675 records of 6-year old. From 675 lateral cephalograms, 136 variables from the X, Y coordinates of 32 landmarks were calculated. The landmarks vary with the growth pattern of craniofacial morphology. Clusters of 136 variables 32 land marks might indicate different pattern of growth. The main aim is to use clustering techniques to develop an objective typology for classifying craniofacial morphology pattern. Clinically the purpose was that the derived clustering would be useful in identifying different pattern of the craniofacial growth which be of help in defining more directed orthodontic treatment plants and preventive orthodontics. For the evaluation of a clustering procedure, we review the validity and the stability. The validity measured by seperation degree of each cluster. The variation of given statistics on the bootstrap sample indicates stable shapes of clusters. This variation can be interpreted as a measure of stability of clusters. Finally we can get the diagrammatic cephalmetric representation for each cluster. 7 Craniofacial pattern was obtained with the highest validity and the best stability. There were significant differences in summarized variables among craniofacial patterns. The cranifacial patterns were characterized by the diagrammatic cephalometric representation.
