        미혼인구의 이성교제와 결혼의향에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 분석

        본 연구는 미혼인 남녀를 대상으로 이성교제와 결혼의향에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보고자 하였다. 결혼은 배우자를 선택하는 과정을 거치는 특성과 이행 이전에 의향을 가지고 행동으로 이어지는 특성을 가진다. 이 연구는 이러한 결혼의 특성과 함께 최근 결혼 뿐 아니라 연애까지 포기하는 현상을 바탕으로 미혼인구의 가족 형성과 관련된 특성을 파악하기 위해 이성교제와 결혼의향에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 이성교제 확률과 결혼의향에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 경제적인 요인이었다. 선행연구에서는 이성교제가 주로 남성의 경제적 요인에 의해 영향을 받는다는 것이 강조되었는데, 본 연구의 이성교제확률 분석 결과에서는 경제 활동 여부와 소득과 같은 경제적 요인이 남녀 모두에게 중요한 변수로 나타났다. 즉, 이성교제에 영향을 미치는 경제적 요인이 남성 뿐 아니라 여성에게도 중요한 것으로 변화하고 있다는 것을 의미한다. 또한, 이성교제를 배우자 선택의 과정으로 이해하고 나아가 결혼에도 영향을 미치는 중요한 과정으로 본다면 앞으로 결혼의 기제도 변화해 갈 것으로 생각해 볼 수 있다. 결혼의향 분석 결과에서는 여전히 남성의 경제적인 요인의 역할이 중요하게 나타났으나, 이성교제 분석 결과와 연계해보면 앞으로는 결혼에 있어서도 여성의 경제적 요인의 역할 또한 중요하게 나타날 개연성이 있다고 볼 수도 있다. 그리고 결혼할 상대에게 기대하는 희망 소득을 결혼 상대에 대한 기대의 간접 지표로 활용하여 분석한 결과, 이러한 기대가 높을수록 결혼의향은 낮은 것을 발견하였다. The purpose of this study is to identify factors influencing dating and marriage intention among unmarried people. In general, marriage goes through the process of choosing a spouse, and marriage intention precedes the transition to marriage. Based on these characteristics of marriage and the phenomenon of giving up not only marriage but also dating among young population, this study analyzed factors affecting dating and marriage intention in order to understand the characteristics of family formation among the unmarried people. Findings show that the most influencing factors of the probability of dating and marriage intention were economic factors. In previous studies, it was emphasized that dating was mainly influenced by the economic factors of males. In this study, however, economic factors were very influential factors on probability of dating for both females and males. It shows that economic factors that affect dating are becoming important not only for men but also for women. In addition, if dating is viewed as a process of choosing a spouse and as an important process that affects marriage, we might think that the mechanism of marriage will change. In the results of the analysis of marriage intention, the role of the economic factors of men is still important, but in connection with the analysis of dating, there is a chance that the roles of economic factors among females will also appear important in marriage in the future. Furthermore, in a result of analyzing the hoped income expected from the future marriage partner as an indirect indicator of the expectation on him/her, it was found that the higher the expectation, the lower the intention to marry.

        Proteomic Assessment of the Relevant Factors Affecting Pork Meat Quality Associated with Longissimus dorsi Muscles in Duroc Pigs

        Meat quality is a complex trait influenced by many factors, including genetics, nutrition, feeding environment, animal handling, and their interactions. To elucidate relevant factors affecting pork quality associated with oxidative stress and muscle development, we analyzed protein expression in high quality longissimus dorsi muscles (HQLD) and low quality longissimus dorsi muscles (LQLD) from Duroc pigs by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)-based proteomic analysis. Between HQLD (n = 20) and LQLD (n = 20) Duroc pigs, 24 differentially expressed proteins were identified by LC-MS/MS. A total of 10 and 14 proteins were highly expressed in HQLD and LQLD, respectively. The 24 proteins have putative functions in the following seven categories: catalytic activity (31%), ATPase activity (19%), oxidoreductase activity (13%), cytoskeletal protein binding (13%), actin binding (12%), calcium ion binding (6%), and structural constituent of muscle (6%). Silver-stained image analysis revealed significant differential expression of lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA) between HQLD and LQLD Duroc pigs. LDHA was subjected to in vitro study of myogenesis under oxidative stress conditions and LDH activity assay to verification its role in oxidative stress. No significant difference of mRNA expression level of LDHA was found between normal and oxidative stress condition. However, LDH activity was significantly higher under oxidative stress condition than at normal condition using in vitro model of myogenesis. The highly expressed LDHA was positively correlated with LQLD. Moreover, LDHA activity increased by oxidative stress was reduced by antioxidant resveratrol. This paper emphasizes the importance of differential expression patterns of proteins and their interaction for the development of meat quality traits. Our proteome data provides valuable information on important factors which might aid in the regulation of muscle development and the improvement of meat quality in longissimus dorsi muscles of Duroc pigs under oxidative stress conditions.

        The Impact of COVID-19 Crisis on Major Spectator Sport Industry in the U.S. and South Korea: Challenges and Outlook

        This study explored the challenges facing sport leagues in the U.S. and Korea due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their strategies in dealing with the crisis, and what post-pandemic spectator sport industry in the two countries might look like. We recruited three industry practitioners from the U.S. and South Korea for a focus group interview conducted during a panel discussion organized by an academic organization. An inductive-open coding extracted several themes from the qualitative data. Main challenges included uncertainty, increased competition, and weakened fan experience. Strategies included contingency planning, flexible venue management, and revitalizing the fan experience. While the panel agreed that the pandemic constrained the industry’s traditional business practices, countervailing effects were also noted such as the facilitation of technological diffusion. This study presents implications for the industry and the relevant body of knowledge including: Technology-based media consumption, advanced risk management protocols and product characterizations, and approaches to incorporate sociocultural connotations of spectating sport.

      • A Survey of Repair Analysis Algorithms for Memories

        <P>Current rapid advancements in deep submicron technologies have enabled the implementation of very large memory devices and embedded memories. However, the memory growth increases the number of defects, reducing the yield and reliability of such devices. Faulty cells are commonly repaired by using redundant cells, which are embedded in memory arrays by adding spare rows and columns. The repair process requires an efficient redundancy analysis (RA) algorithm. Spare architectures for the repair of faulty memory include one-dimensional (1D) spare architectures, two-dimensional (2D) spare architectures, and configurable spare architectures. Of these types, 2D spare architectures, which prepare extra rows and columns for repair, are popular because of their better repairing efficiency than 1D spare architectures and easier implementation than configurable spare architectures. However, because the complexity of the RA is NP-complete, the RA algorithm should consider various factors in order to determine a repair solution. The performance depends on three factors: analysis time, repair rate, and area overhead. In this article, we survey RA algorithms for memory devices as well as built-in repair algorithms for improving these performance factors. Built-in redundancy analysis techniques for emergent three-dimensional integrated circuits are also discussed. Based on this analysis, we then discuss future research challenges for faulty-memory repair studies.</P>

        Properties of Polycrystalline HgI2 Films Fabricated by Using a Particle in Binder Method

        Mercuric iodide (HgI₂) is a semiconductor material used in some digital radiography devices. Mercuric iodide radiation detectors can be fabricated fairly easily by using the screen printing (SP) method. However, it is difficult to control the thickness of the semiconductor layer with the SP method. In this study, polycrystalline HgI₂ films were developed by using a new particle-in-binder (PIB) method and compared with polycrystalline HgI₂ films fabricated by using a commercial SP method. We investigated the structural and morphological properties of the films by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), as well as their electrical properties. The fabricated film samples measured 2 cm × 2 cm and varied in thickness from 200 to 250 μm. The high density and the low porosity of the films, as indicated by SEM analysis, demonstrated the feasibility of the PIB method. The X-ray sensitivity of the HgI₂ film fabricated by using the new PIB method was 250 pC/mR·mm² and the dark current was 7 pA/mm² at 1 V/μm. The film demonstrated good linearity from 1 μR to 3 mR, which is generally the range for diagnostic radiation. The signal lag measured 33 ms after X-ray exposure was 5.4%. Our experimental results demonstrated that the new deposition method can be used for fabricating digital X-ray detectors.
